I was wayyyy overdue for an eye exam and decided I needed to take care of this. My boyfriend goes to Hoffner Eye Care and always had a good experience so I decided to go there as well. The office staff are so friendly and Dr. Delgado is awesome! He takes the time to explain things very well and is thorough. At one point, there was a concern with my eyes, but he calmly explained it, ran some additional testing, and everything was fine fortunately. I even got to view the photos of the inside of my eyes which was super cool to me! They don't have the most extensive selection of frames, but the staff are happy to help you find ones that you prefer or you can of course take your prescription and order from wherever you choose. Whether or not you have poor vision, eye exams are important just to check on your eye health or notice clues that might point to systemic health concerns. If you have been putting this off like I was, Hoffner Eye Care is a great place to remedy this! read more

I was not going to write a review but I just had to. I went to Dr. Delgado and the first problem was when I had to wait over an hour for the appt. When he finally saw me, he rushed the eye exam so much that I couldn't believe it -- I guess he wanted to catch up on being so late with other patients. I got my glasses and they never felt right. I assumed it was me. Nope. Not only did he rush the eye exam, but he gave me a prescription that was wrong. He made the prescription so strong for my glasses that the glasses are unusable. His staff was very nice, but he was useless and has the bedside manner of sandpaper. So don't go to Hoffner Eye Center. If I could give them zero stars, I would. read more

Really surprised at the reviews below. I came here to brag about the front desk staff and particularly my great experience with Jasmine. I had a ton of questions about my insurance and she explained everything super well. I got there for my 9:30am appt and everyone was cheerful. Just the general vibe in the office was very positive and friendly. It looks like everyone gets along well and was happy to be there which is actually a part of the customer experience. I definitely felt like this is a good landing place for people with any social anxiety or just anxiety around just going to a doctor's office. I didn't buy glasses there and I felt zero pressure about that. I did not feel rushed by Dr. Delgado at all. So funny that that's the feedback in the other reviews because I felt just the opposite. I didn't understand something about my dry eye and he gave this great analogy that made total sense and I left feeling like I really understood my diagnosis and I didn't feel stupid for asking. Dr. Delgado was amicable and again just super patient. And then again on my way out, just everyone was happy and friendly, including Jasmine. Four stars for a good smaller eye care practice with two optometrists. I saw Jaime, and he was easy to work with. The office has good hours (some days til 7 so you can pop in after work). The parking lot is tiny and the office is easy to miss. I'm not sure where else one can park in the area if it's full. It's also pretty poorly designed and difficult to get into and out of, especially if there's anything being done to the lawn. The selection of glasses is medium sized, not the best but definitely not the worst. The pick up process was super fast and efficient. Overall, a good pick for those who need a VSP premier provider to get the most out of their benefits. They are also pretty good about fitting you in for eye emergencies as we learned with a stye. read more

We have been here before and loved the Dr. so much we decided to make this our eye place due to the great service from the eye doctor. In 2024, I want to say the month of January my husband and I were both severely sick when we were supposed to go to our Saturday appointment. Due to this I called, canceled and paid the fee for canceling same day. I didn't want to get ANY staff members sick. The lady I spoke with was nice and said she understood and to call back when I want to reschedule. I would think is a courtesy. Called and spoke with Jazmin at 10:26am on 02/08/2024 to schedule a Saturday appointment for me and my husband. She advised my husband and I have a same day cancelation and we can no longer book a Saturday. I explained that I was sick, and I understood that I called early in the morning before my appointment to cancel but I wanted to make sure that I did not get anyone sick. Jazmin or Jasmin not 100% how her name is spelled. Cut me off and said, "well that is policy". No matter the reason you and your husband cannot have Saturday appointments. I repeated what she was saying and stated, so it would have been ok to come while sick instead of canceling because then I could no longer get a weekend appointment. She replied, "that is correct". I was completely shocked and advised "I was not willing to let staff and other patients get sick because of me". She repeated, "Well there is no exception". After speaking with her for 10 minutes on the phone and explaining, I did advise. Due to an illness, I did not ask to get I would have at least hoped that you would have advised that you would at least try to speak with the doctor and see if at all an exception could be made for cancelation since I didn't cancel just to cancel. I didn't want anyone to catch what I had. Jasmin/Jazmin then proceeded to state well if you come in on a Saturday you have to pay the cancellation fee. I advised her when I called that day, I already paid the fee. Jasmin/Jazmin stated well I don't see that in the chart. Mind you I paid with my HSA card. By the end of the call Jazmin/Jasmin advised well now I have to try pull your chart and ask the doctor and see if she can see you Saturday. Mind you I thought she pulled the chart that's why she didn't see the payment. Very confused. In the mist of me asking when I should expect a callback, she disconnected the call on me. I absolutely love the eye doctor there and wouldn't change her for the world but unfortunately bad experience with Jasmin/Jazmin front staff. To me and she confirmed when repeating it to her, the staff would have rather me come in sick and exposing everyone instead of canceling the appointment. Have not heard of that before. read more

I was in need of getting a trial pair of contacts while I would be out of town, as I realized I only had 2 daily pairs left. I called and spoke to Jasmine, who was not willing to budge or help me in any capacity. She kept using "after covid" as an excuse on why the policies changed and that I would either have to pay $200 for boxes in order for me to get a trial pair or I would have to go in the office - very inconvenient for the patient. I have been a patient of Dr. Delgado's for over 5 years, and I've never received such poor treatment from his office. His staff has always gone above and beyond - I guess it's not like that anymore. read more

I have been coming here for years. Not only are the doctors amazing, but all of the staff. The office staff is helpful, friendly, and attentive. They file my insurance for me and getting an appointment is easy. I live in Winter Springs, Florida, and drive 45 minutes each way to go here. They have a great selection of frames and many different styles. read more

4 days to have my prescription sent ! Doesn't make sense at all ! I made 4 calls just to have my prescription sent so I can get another pair of glasses else where . Did not receive any updates at all . I had to continue to call and get the same answer . Sign the prescription and email it ! It's not rocket science and shouldn't take all day ! read more

Wonderful experience going through an exam as a new patient, to purchasing new glasses. Usually I go to big box stores to save a buck but it was nice to have an enjoyable experience at a locally owned place. They have a great selection of frames which made choosing mine hard, but never felt pressured to make a decision throughout the process. My eye exam was able to be scheduled same day, which was perfect to fit into my schedule. Definitely going to check them out again when it's time to update the prescription. read more

Absolutely wonderful experience! They were all so patient and helpful with my 6 year old son. My eye doctor doesn't see children under 7 and I wanted to find someone nearby. I'm so happy I tried Hoffner Eye. I actually think I'm going to switch from my doctor. read more

Had one of the best visits. The receptionist not only knew her stuff but helped me pick out eye glasses while I waited. The Dr I saw (Jaime) was polite, informative and knowledgeable about everything I inquired about.
