I brought my car in for a complimentary inspection and provided a list of things for the tech to review. Dropped it off on a Friday for a Saturday appointment. My car sat there until 1pm. No phone call, email or text. I come in and the guy at the desk said sorry we've been busy. They close at 2.... My car had a 10-15 minute look over. Said I had an exhaust leak, which I don't. Said I needed a cabin air filter.... Which was replaced two weeks earlier. How did you check the cabin and air filter if you had the car up on a lift? You said I needed new front brakes - they're at 5mm not 3mm. How can you measure the brakes if you didn't take the tires off??? Comfortable waiting room. I had a maintenance check today. A few days prior, I told them of an issue with closing my driver's side door. They knew I would need to see a Ford dealership. It was very kind of them to check if there were recalls before my appointment. It's a family business, 3rd generation, professional, clean, and very customer oriented. I pay attention to Consumer Report reviews, online sales, and I'm enthusiastically and completely satisfied with Hogan. Tires can be a hassle, and they're wicked expensive. I like Hogan Tire in Hudson, MA. The front office staff are personable and reliable, and the work is excellent. Recently, they replaced a leaky tire pressure sensor, which was a relief to have fixed--no more leaky tire, no more dash alerts. But that's not the whole story. Another shop, my local mechanic in a nearby town, had not been able to fix an awful rattle that happened every time my car hit 40 mph. They said it was time to take it to the dealer and maybe get the transmission replaced. Who can afford that? So I drove it with the noise for a while. Lo and behold, when I drove away from getting my pressure sensor fixed at Hogan Tire, no more awful rattle. By properly tightening things up in the course of their job, they likely saved me a couple thousand bucks from an unneeded transmission replacement. Another time, I had a snow blower tire that had lost so much air, I couldn't get my hand pump started on it. Lots of gas station shops were closed because of the storm. Got 4 new beautiful Michelin tires for my 2009 Mercedes from Hogan Tire in Westwood, MA in November of 2020. I was still driving my Jeep up until April, when the lease termed out and I turned it back over. My point is I didn't drive the Mercedes every day until April. In August of this year I made an appointment and brought the Mercedes for tire rotation, free brake inspection (as advertised), and a couple of noises that concerned me. My car was there for 9 hours before they called to follow up. What was recommended to me, blew me away!! NEW TIRES!! That's what was recommended, New flipping tires. Did I mention four new tires is what was recommended? He said that was the noise coming from my front end. WHAT? And NO brake inspection. After I explained there was probably less than 7k miles on the car since the new tires, I asked him if he rotated them, which he had NOT even done... remember this is 9 HOURS LATER. My car had been there ALL day and he called 30 minutes before they closed. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO HOGAN FOR EVEN A BIT OF FREE AIR. So NOT good. read more

As I was digging through my cupholder to find some change for a gas station air pump, I saw a shimmering light from the corner of my, and glowing letters which seemed to say... "FREE AIR". I brought my 2009 civic here because it was making a screeching noise in the front. Everyone I talked to was nice and the check was free. They tell me I need new front brakes including rotors, pads and calipers because the pistons in the calipers are leaking water. They price the repairs at $800. I research online and see that it is uncommon to have to replace both calipers on such a young car with below 100,000 miles so I decide to get a brake check at another mechanic. This place tells me I don't need to replace my calipers, no water is coming out and they don't understand why water would come out of the pistons at all or why Hogan would tell me that; to get new brake pads and rotor it will be $250. Maybe Hogan is right, maybe not but I'm taking the chance and going with the cheaper option. read more

I recently had some routine maitenance done here. Such a great experience. First the staff is pretty awesome. Friendly bunch who are really knowledgeable about cars but are not pushy. If you go in for an oil change, that is what you'll get. You go in for tires, that is what you'll get. No constant shaming because you aren't getting their signature fuel injection cleaning done for only $200 or upselling on stuff that you would never need. Basically the polar opposte of the Valvoline auto chain down the street from Hogan (that place is the worst of the worst). Plus their prices are amazing and if you check out the website before hand, you can always find a coupon for something. They even have a nice and clean waiting area. Hogan Tire in Hudson is pretty great, my wife and I get our oil changed here and it is almost always speedy and quick. They have a nice waiting are with coffee, water, and a few magazines to read. Also the fixed my wife's car on relatively short notice this winter, we took it in on New Years Eve, and it was finished in the time promised, which was especially important with a baby on the way. I only give them 4 stars because they did lose/not write down my appt. once and I had to reschedule for a later date even though I planned my morning around it. (side note, I then went home, dropped a glass mug cutting the nerves in my pinky, which the bending of is forever lost). Unbelievable service! We had a series of bad luck when traveling from upstate NY to my eldest son in Newton. We got a call from my youngest son that his tire was flat and he had some difficulty replacing it, so we diverted towards Hudson to help. Minutes from our arrival, our car broke down and we were able to get it to the Hogan Tire Center in Hudson. Unfortunately, they had just closed, however, we were approached by the assistant manager, Mike Stansbury, who proceeded to help us troubleshoot the issue, processed our vehicle for service the next day and waited until my youngest son arrived to drop off his tire for repair. I finally found a great tire shop. I just got four new tires for my wife's car and the whole experience was great. They were helpful over the phone, gave me a bunch of options at different price levels and didn't try to sell me on the most expensive. I did end up getting MIchelins because they were the original tires on the car and my wife was used to the feel. They gave me an appointment and were ready for me when I arrived and an hour later, I was on my way. They told me the alignment was fine and didn't try to sell that additional service. Their prices were competitive and actually over $300 less than the Volvo dealer wanted to charge for the same tires and service. Called to make an appointment, on hold for 6 minutes. Hung up. Drove there to make an appointment. Walked in to see a man on the phone and a tech. Neither of them looked at me or my friend. Man hung up the phone and talked to the tech. Still did not even look at me. To my surprise the man then makes a phone call. While he's on the phone then he looks at me to say 'just a moment'. I should have walked out while he was on the phone. I wait with my friend while he orders a filter. A filter, and he can't smile or say hello because the filter is more important to him. He hangs up and asks if he can help me. I need 4 tires for my RDX. He asks me the size of the tire. Okay, this is a tire place I'm in, right? He doesn't look it up on the computer, instead, we walk out to my vehicle so he can look at the tire. When we get back in, I grab a business card. Joel Lindgren Assistant Manager. He says the manager is out and they are so busy. Another guy, Ed, comes in. Joel is busy looking at the computer quoting numbers that don't make sense, not that I want to spend a bundle, but he's quoting me $170 tires, I'm not going to replace my old $260 tires with $170 tires. I say I don't want to downgrade. Such a waste of time for such a busy person. I'm concerned about the tire tread #. They say that doesn't matter and it's not on the computer so they cannot answer the question. I don't want to order tires without knowing and they both say it doesn't matter, it's all about the speed rating. Okay, it's all about the speed rating, but what is the tread count. After all that I feel like they just are too busy to take my business. I'm done, I say, you just lost a customer. They could care less. read more

I am absolutely stunned. This is the most up front honest service center i have ever seen. I am a customer for life. John the service manager is a true man of integrity. I had an issue with my car that was questionable who did it. My car was on Toyota care warranty, and I thought for sure Toyota would take care o the issue. Turns out Toyota care really is careless. I went to John with my case and rather than giving me the round around, he made it right. I still have 15K left on my pre-paid maintenace and warranty with Bernardi Toyota, but I will never go back, now that i know Hogan tire is such an honest dealer. I happened upon this place while I drove by on my way to work in Marlboro. I called and they were able to fit me in a few days later. The oil change was very reasonable and they didn't try to heavily up sell me, which almost all the other places do! They gave my car a once over and gave me a sheet letting me know the things they found...again, no pressure. I had a leak in my tire and asked them to look at it. They didn't find anything in the tire but mentioned that the seal had a leak. Then, they sealed the tire where it meets the rim for no charge. They have a station for kids to amuse themselves (and I think a computer to use). The bathrooms are clean. They had water and coffee. I am so used to dealing with amateur garages I went right into the garage and started talking to a mechanic who showed me that they have an office and a reception desk. Oh my! I had a flat tire while driving on 90. I went to Hogan and worked with Joe Sudol. Service was great. My other 3 tires had some wear on them so Joe measured them and advised me that I was ok to replace just the one tire instead of the expensive 4. I have electronic air pressure monitors in my car, they weren't responding properly my initial visit to Hogan so they asked that I come back when I have time so they could fix the issue. On another visit they fixed it within 5 minutes. Overall excellent service, very friendly and knowledgable staff and they offered free air anytime my tires are low so I can avoid the terrible gas station pumps. I shopped online and in store at various tire locations. Hogan has excellent, competitive prices. I called in and explained what I wanted for a new set of tires. Mike caught on quick and answered everything I had questioned clearly and patiently. We set up an appointment where I would drop off my vehicle, with the delivery of the tires in mind. They kept up their end of the timeline, however, I had to come in much later because my ride wasn't able to pick me up. I called in to inform them of my situation and they kindly answered "No problem, come drop off your vehicle after lunch." I received a phone call updating me on a situation that could be problematic with the tpms. Just as a warning. I then received a text when the job was complete notifying me my vehicle is ready for pick up. I came into their store and was greeted properly once again. Needed a TPMS sensor replaced -- the threads on the valve stem corroded and broke. Called on a Monday, was informed that the part was on order and expected on Wednesday. Called Wednesday morning to see if parts delivery had arrived. I was told that it wasn't in yet, but they could call me as soon as they had it. Within an hour or so, I was called back and told I could bring the car in around 1:00 PM. I was in at 1:00 and out by 2:00. The shop and phone were hopping because it was the day after a holiday, so I was very pleased to get in and out so quickly.
