Field view from Section 217 Row 3

Visited Hohokam Stadium on a Saturday afternoon for our first spring training game. The stadium is the spring training home of the A's. Standard parking is located in a well-maintained field and is organized. The parking fee was $5, and the parking staff members were super friendly. The stadium was clean, open, and the seats were comfortable. We sat in a bench seat in a row to ourselves. There were also several concession opportunities. Regarding the field, it looked fantastic.

    Cheers!

I love coming to this stadium for Athletics Spring Training games. The parking lot is well organized and the tickets are super reasonable. There are friendly, helpful workers everywhere. We like sitting close to the action. I enjoy the food trucks and the fun beer options. If you are looking for a specific item, get there a bit early, sometimes the more popular places can be a bit of a wait to get your eats. (This happened to us waiting for a Walking Taco at Modern Tortilla.) Cheers! Play Ball!

Out of the 4th Cactus League stadiums I saw a game at, Hohokam was my favourite. Nice mountains views. Parking was $5, one of the only stadiums we went to, to actually charge for parking. We brought lawn tickets on the day and I want to say they were $22. You get paper tickets and they somehow linked to my Ballpark app as well, I never gave my email or anything. Plus they add $2 on the day fee but no other fees at the box office. Didn't try any concessions. No mention of Oakland anywhere I saw.

Very nice ballpark. Celebrating 10 years of operation. Friendly staff all around. Nice selection of food and beverages. Features grass seating in the outfield. We went for the seating behind the Giants dugout. Beautiful day at the park.

Still a nice stadium, but of course the prices went way up since last visit. $14.50 will likely be the lowest beer price. Food had alot of lines and nothing really stood out. Not a fan of food trucks in the crowded outdoor area. Five bucks for paRking and $5.75 for peanuts. Most seats good and craft beer patio has good upper views of field.

Comfortable and relaxed experience. It is easy to park and exit. There are good food truck type eating options and many seats in the shade. The scoreboard shows pitch speed and exit velocity.

One of my favorite places for spring training, small and up close. Small lines for concessions and great BBQ available.

Love this field!!! Very clean and grass is green as can be. Seats have cup holders and they must be fairly new because they were in very good condition. Grass parking was $5 and Very well organized, nobody parked like a jerk and all the cars were in straight uniform lines. 2 people scanning tickets then you are wanded down Stompers kid zone had a bouncy house and baseball game for the kids Up close and personal space to watch the pitchers warm up in right field. There's a kids speed pitch contest for 12 and under and 13 and over and they announce prizes for the top boy and girl Right field deck has fake grass, picnic tables, big jenga set Concession stands are covered so it was easy to get to your seats without having to bypass people standing in line waiting for food, drinks and alcohol. This stadium is better than our home field in Oakland!!

It's not exactly iconic but the wheeled-in sign in the outfield is the best place for your obligatory "I was there" photo.

Willie Mays said it best. Back at the grand opening of the Giants ballpark, when everyone was swooning over the the beautiful bay views, Willie proclaimed "we're not talking about a condo here..." He was onto something: A beautiful view from a ballpark seat is an asset but it matters not at all if your team stinks out there on the field. As a long-suffering A's fan I can attest that even the Oakland Coliseum looks just fine when the A's are playing well. Hohokam Stadium is the Chicago Cubs former Spring Training ballpark and it's now the A's. The Cubs moved into much nicer digs, the A's did a wee bit of sprucing up, and the stadium is a perfectly fine retro place from which to take in a game. It's very clean, parking ($5) is a cinch, and in a nod to the Bay, there's even an in-house Ike's (likely the best food in the park). Unlike at the Giants Arizona home, there's nothing nearby to attract you either before or after the game. And unlike the Cubs Arizona home, there's no iconic sign with which to take a selfie. For those who want to document themselves in each ballpark, your most sure bet here is to make your way to the outfield and play around with shots you can get on the wheeled in, bright yellow "Hohokam" sign. Spare no expense, A's. I would have said that the high point of my visit here was the beautiful warm weather and the free lollipops from Ike's but then a player threw a ball into the stands and it was caught by one in my party. Shortly thereafter, A's left fielder Khris Davis hit a grand slam, something that might've been better saved for the real season but was appreciated nonetheless. I wouldn't want to spend day after day at Hohokam Stadium but if you do, you can see every home season game here (on the grass) for a pass that runs less than $50. Otherwise, a nice seat near home plate ran a bit past $30 but honestly, nobody checked my ticket and I have a hunch I could've paid a lot less and sat anywhere I desired... not that I'd ever do that (wink, wink). Hohokam is a perfectly fine place - no more, no less - from which to watch a spring training game.

First time at Spring Training, bucket list item check off for 2020. You never really know what to expect until you see a place in person and my experience was very positive, There is not a bad seat in the house. Parking is super cheap and easily accessible. There are lots of vegan options to eat- I ended up with noodles, impossible burger and other goodies. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The tickets are super cheap and I was able to catch some first base and home plate action the two games I watched here. The scoreboard is beautiful! The crowd is also friendly and I met lots of Bay Area folks during the games. I will definitely be back next year!

First trip to Spring training , really enjoyed our time at the renovated Stadium. The sun was blazing, the beer was flowing, and we loved watching our A's beat the Giants Lots of fun, on the next visit we'll get tickets in the stands to soak up the shade

It was about the perfect amount of activity for us as we got to try each of the activities once. There's about 8 active games including a batting game, tennis game, QB throw, field goal kick, boxing, skiing, soccer and more. Most of the games have a scoreboard that will display your score and have the top scores of the all time, weekly and daily. It's fun to see your name up on the scoreboard even when your score may be pretty brutal compared to the all-time greats. The staff was very helpful in checking us in and letting us know how each game works. There's a few games that are pretty simple and others that require some setting up (like getting boots and strapped in for the skiing. I enjoyed the QB throw the most but it looked like the bouncy basketball court was the most popular while we were there. We went on the Friday night and it wasn't very crowded...only have to wait maybe 5 minutes for any activity to open up. The place was pretty clean except I did notice they didn't spray down to clean the batting helmets after each person...that was kind of gross to put on the helmet and feel some sogginess. This may be a fun place for holding a birthday party for kids as they have ice cream, cereal and party rooms overlooking the area. For me it's probably a one and done visit, but we need more places like this where kids and families and have some good indoor activities besides bounce parks.

The crust was pretty thin and I hear that you make their dough in house and I thought the dough tasted great. The toppings on top tasted good didn't taste like canned stuff My beer was a bit warm though, and they serve them in those reusable plastic cups. They are all like scratched up and stuff. I usually have sensitive skin so I react on like these bacterial cups a lot which I did a bit on my lips. I plan to come here more times in the future really great time just simple standard bar food. I would say don't expect the best food you're here for the organ player not the food so they aren't focused on making top notch food you know and what I really like. Is that there there's no tipping here like no option to do so on the machines and in the world we literally everything makes you tip. It feels nice to have a break from that. But definitely tip your organ player they have a big jar in front

Took awhile to get thru once we passed the security check-in and were filtering down a few levels to get to the floor. Of course there were a ton of people and we were packed like sardines but the flow was smooth and people were patient. Once we got to our seats, we got situated and Leon Thomas was already midway as the opening act. There was a slight mixup as one chair, the "30th" seat was missing on our row and we ended up moving down one seat to our left as the group with the seating issue kept trying to figure it out. Some numbers were missing on our seats but mine was visible and we could verify where we were seated. Luckily, our seat neighbors were nice people and accommodating since there seemed to be an extra seat that was empty. When we first arrived, there were some people who sat near our seats that weren't supposed to be there but you know there's always one of those so they moved. It was fun and festive. The woman in front of us with her daughter was recording the whole time as well as the lone guy next to my cousin who was doing the same and singing to EVERY SONG, LOL!! Thankfully we never had to use the bathroom as we went during dinner right before the concert. There were Porta-Pottys on the floor level inside as your bathroom. Also, you couldn't take an actual canned drink inside. Attendants had you put them in a cup unless they weren't paying attention and you had your drink in your see-thru backpack like the guy in front of me walking in. Speaking of, you need to look at bag dimensions and restrictions prior to going to the events. I looked ahead of time and brought a clear, plastic purse within the allowed guidelines/dimensions. Acoustics were great, there was never a glitch, 2 large screens on the left and right of the stage were great for folks seated far away and were a great visual for close ups even for us. Security was effective and checkpoints at the entrances went smoothly. It was a bit crazy getting out of the stadium but we got out. Getting out of the parking lot was another story. It was a long, log-jam and some vehicles were impatient and nearly hitting other vehicles just to get in the line to get out! I think the parking guides and traffic monitors could've done better in an orderly and streamlined fashion. In any case, we had fun and luckily people inside were nice and courteous. This was my 2nd concert at this stadium and am well-pleased with the ambiance. It was just the parking lot situation that needs to be more efficient. Hopefully they worked it out the next evening since Bruno played 2 nights here.
