The bar staff are pleasant and young and chef out the back is an excellent cook (Sri Lankan). We really enjoyed our lunch. The size of the meals was large and flavoursome ... taste before you season! The place was quiet at lunchtime but there were some locals and travellers. There is an outside courtyard for diners as well. Ask the young barman for a " Shandy". He will know now. Oh... it is a schooner of half beer and half lemonade.

Rooms are the classic hotel form - sink in each room & bathrooms & toilets down the hall - in my case across the hall. The hotel is on the main street but there was hardly any traffic at night - also the rooms are at the back. Great food in the dining room - yummy pizza but also all the regulars on the menu - steak, chicken, burgers. Of course there's also a good selection of beers on tap.

Oh wow ! Recently renovated…read more Might be the best thing to happen to Holbrook in the last 50 years. Beautiful renovation! Food is really fantastic! Ordered the beef spare ribs for the second time in a fortnight as we are driving between Sydney and Melbourne. Honestly could not recommend the food highly enough. The beef ribs are roasted to perfection. Tender, tender. Wow ! My wife is having a beaut Capricorn pizza, also great, and last time she was here the curried chicken. She rarely orders curry out and she loved it !
