The chicken was firm and lacked crispiness. We weren't a fan of their sweet chili type dipping sauce. The fries were crispy to our liking but too salty. 11/08/2025 UPDATE: I wanted to update my review because the owner, Mike, personally reached out to me yesterday to make things right. He sincerely apologized for the mix-up with my order and kindly invited me to come back so they could remake it at no additional cost. From our conversation alone, I could tell he truly cares about his customers and their experiences. I stopped by today to take him up on his offer, and this time Issa was the one who helped me out. He already knew about the situation, double-checked everything carefully, and even included wings to apologize for the previous mistake. He was incredibly kind, professional, and such a pleasure to talk to. While I genuinely thought my last visit would be the last time I ever ate at Holdaak, Mike and Issa completely changed my mind. Their care, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond really meant a lot. Thank you again, Mike and Issa, for turning such a frustrating experience into a positive one. I ordered take out from this place and had one of the worst customer service experiences ever. When I picked up the order, I confirmed everything with the woman working in the front, an older shorter Latina woman. She checked the receipt and assured me everything was correct. But when I got home, which is twenty minutes away, I opened the bag and saw mistakes right away. We ordered an eight piece chicken but only received seven. I ordered half original and half spicy chicken strips, but instead got all original. We also paid extra for garlic parmesan fries, but what we received were fries with a little bit of garlic parmesan seasoning stuck to the bottom of the bag. We have ordered this same thing many times to go and have never received it like this. I called the restaurant and the same woman answered. She was extremely rude and acted like none of it was her fault or her responsibility. There was no apology at all. When I asked about the chicken she told me to bring it back and they would remake it. When I asked about the fries she said the same thing. So basically they wanted us to drive another forty minutes round trip because they messed up. After getting off the phone and deciding to just keep the order and never return because of her horrible attitude, we accepted that the food was not what we paid for. If she had shown even a small amount of kindness or accountability, I would not be leaving this one star review. Instead, she made us feel like we were a nuisance and a hassle for simply asking about the food we paid for. Never eating here again. Located in the shopping center next to Sam's club there is this hidden gem. The service is always good when I come here the cashier always greets me with a smile and a welcome. I ordered the 5 chicken strips combo (number 4) which comes with 5 chicken strips, fries, bread and a drink. You get to choose between the different flavors that they have from original to spicy. I choose the Seoul spicy which has a sweet and spicy taste to it. The chicken tenders have a good flavor to them as well nice crunch to them with a good amount of juiciness. My brother brought me to this place. He loves chicken sandwiches, I'm not a big fan...until today. Not only was the owner (Shoutout to Muhammad!) super friendly and accommodating, but we all go to restaurants because of the quality of the food right?! The food was seasoned so well! Order from yelp directly to get good deals. I've been to this place multiple times, and unfortunately, the service has always been poor. The staff, especially the middle-aged woman working the front, is consistently unpleasant and unprofessional. At first, the wings were decent, but the quality has gone downhill--now they're so salty it's hard to eat. But today was the last straw. I always order through Yelp because the prices are better for pickup orders, and maybe that's why they treat me like I'm a problem. When I arrived, I said I had a pickup for Kim. The woman said there was no order for Kevin--I repeated that my name was Kim, and she still insisted there was no order. I even showed her my receipt, and she kept arguing. Then, as she started checking, she obviously found the order--but instead of just giving it to me, she doubled down and said, "That's not Kim, that's Kim Hien." That is my full name. What kind of petty nonsense is that? To make matters worse, they messed up my order again, which happens often. I had a promotion on Yelp for 4 free daikon slaws. Of course, they didn't include them. When I brought it up, she said it wasn't in the order. I showed her the Yelp receipt, and she still said it wasn't there. Only when I pointed to the printed receipt--where it clearly listed the daikon slaw--did she finally give them to me. This level of customer service is unacceptable. Rude, dismissive, and careless. Round 2! Holdaak is back!! Corona's location had new ownership and the new owner had reached out to me to give them a second shot to redeem themselves. And boyyyyy, they did not disappoint!!! I really appreciate the owner for reaching out and trying to make things right. Some places wouldn't even bother . Here's my opinion on this 2nd run (it's been more than 9 months since I've last been here): 1. The burger came out piping hot, and it was nicely filled with two juicy/tender strips of chicken (unlike last time where it was just one piece and the burger was just warm). Their chicken was so delicious and packed a nice punch. 2. Veggies were nicely pounded on! Fresh and crispy! 3. Fries were well-seasoned and super crispy! Perfectly fried and it went well with my 'Comeback' sauce. 4. I asked for spicy and it had a nice kick! Definitely tastes like the Fullertons location. I was bummed before, but now I'm so stoked to come back and support the Corona location! Amazing job to the team and everyone in this location for stepping up their game! Fully redeemed themselves! my boyfriend and I wanted to try this spot, we went in and right off the bat, the ordering screen wasn't set up, which that's okay. . it happens. so we waited at least 5mins before someone offered to take our order. The guy attending us was kind of stand offish. Almost like he wanted to hurry and get our order over with. so the customer service wasn't that great. we went to sit down. and the tables were filthy!! but they did come to clean them about 8 mins later. when our order was finally ready at the counter. I noticed that an employee grabbed his phone,and put it on top of someone order (the box) and he didn't have gloves on. which I thought was a little gross. overall experience could've been way better if employees were more attentive/welcoming and if dining area was clean. i'd rate the customer service about 2/10, the food is about 5/10. read more
