We haven't seen them all, but other good shows are Menage A Moi (raunchy), Barely Balanced, the Washing Well Wenches and the Fire Whip guy. Mud show - 20 minutes was just amping the crowd up. I got bored and left. All the shows are super cheesy, Must eat: The mushrooms are so delicious. I'm not even a mushroom person. The broccoli and cheese bread bowl was really good! $14 I didn't see Shepards pie otherwise I would have gotten that. The cheese fritters are so gooey and cheesy. Too much for me, but good to share! My son had pizza ($9). Fruit sherbet - unique it's in a frozen lemon or pineapple. It was tasty! $8 Waffle cone - big, two scoops. It was a standard waffle cone. Lots of bees in the food areas. A ridiculous amount. Otherwise bees weren't bad. The hair braiding was a reasonable price. Go there early so that you get an appointment time that isn't hours later. We'll go back every few summers.

Housed in an old church, the ICHC plays host to many musical acts, both in the giant Hallamor area and in the various pub-like locations around the building. The Hallamor is giant and wonderful for hearing music in, with its giant roof and huge stained glass windows. It also has a beautiful pipe organ. As with many old buildings, this one is in need of some love, but the ICHC has already launched a capitol campaign to refurbish it. I can't wait to see it restored to all its glory. The ICHC is part of Milwaukee's history and I'm glad they work so hard to keep the building running.

Whom ever runs this event needs to be more honest about what's really available to see on Saturday when it's open to the public. It seems that the private showing to the collectors only event is what matters most and it's not about the general public getting to see the works thru Saturdays listed date. We elected to use CAKE Village as our painting vendor because they offered us a very fair price and were super helpful. I was in constant contact with Lande to plan our event and she did a great job with everything. We had decided on painting the Chicago skyline. Our event had 50 people and literally everyone's painting looked beautiful. Lande came to our event with 2 other instructors and they all did wonderfully at guiding us with our own unique masterpieces. All of our guests had an absolutely amazing time, and would love to do something like this again. I will definitely make it a point to visit their actual location to enjoy their services as well. I highly recommend using the CAKE village for their painting instruction for large events, they can definitely handle the job! The Ragdale grounds make up 50 acres of open prairie and gardens with charming buildings and houses that have been donated and converted specifically for the purpose of hosting creatives of the highest caliber. Meeting a friend in residence for lunch, I waited in the Barnhouse while she finished up the leg of her giant ant sculpture. There was an eerie yet peaceful quietness throughout all of Ragdale - a respect for those working on their next planned masterpiece. After lunch we toured the grounds where I saw a broken giant's necklace sculpture in the breathtaking gardens, and peered into the window of the Friend's Studio accommodating a grand piano and dance space. We toured the main floor of the beautifully restored historic Ragdale House, then traveled on foot through the grasslands to a tucked away prairie art studio for a view of her ant sculpture in the making. Ragdale is most known for its art and writing residency programs, but they also offer workshops and classes for young students, special events, and public architectural tours.
