Thank you! We were saying on our drive home that we've never felt such genuine hospitality in all our travels. Keep in mind I was a weekly corporate business traveler for more than 40 years. Cullman left an impression! I attempted to leave this response to the property but it was returned undelivered. You you might know technology but I don't in retirement! BTW, we even had an issue with the bathroom toilet running constantly.... I fixed it every time, this isn't my first rodeo. But as you get older it happens....well you know. Shit breaks, isn't anybody's fault. Have you removed the lid of the toilet lately and seen the contraption these folks are required to use in new construction....It's gonna break and it's ridiculous. read more

My room was immaculate. The breakfast was wonderful, I especially enjoyed the indoor pool and 24 hour fitness center. I will definitely stay again when in the area. read more

Had an absolutely fantastic time here, checked in late and the staff was super helpful. Ended up needing a second room and the staff was even more helpful. They offered complimentary bottles of water and help talk us through getting food delivered to our room using local delivery options. Beds were comfortable and had good TV services. We traveled all evening and arrived at our room at almost midnight. The room was very dirty. There was hair all over the bathroom floor and in the bathtub. The tub looked like it hadn't even been cleaned. The carpet had crumbs on it like the sweeper had been half run if swept at all. A very bad experience read more

We have stayed at this Holiday Inn Express at Cullman, numerous times. It's always been a 5 star experience. Everything is clean and modern. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud, they are so comfy! Employees are polite and helpful. Breakfast is pretty good. Seems a little pricey. But so is everything. read more

Maybe when they complete renovations, this would be an OK place to stay if you don't mind it being over priced. My experience was terrible. My room i reserved was not available on my arrival. Due to something broken inside, they couldn't give me another room on another floor, because the elevators was broken. The room I got was not clean. Staff was very friendly even though we showed up after 11pm, the room was very clean, the sheets and pillows were extremely comfy and the air conditioning was working perfectly. We checked out after breakfast which ended at 0900 so we thought we had missed it but as we came out the staff said they had extra and asked it we wanted anything and prepared us a plate of biscuits and gravy and heated up some cinnamon rolls for us! It was amazing and exceptional service and not something they had to do. The reason this is 4 stars vs 5 is only because we booked a king and they ended up putting is in a room with two queens instead and also the bathtub was a little sketchy looking but everything else was awesome. read more

2/9/24 : We were at the end of a very long day on the road. This was a gem of a fine. At an off-ramp with muliple choices, this was the second property we tried and they were so polite and helpful. Very respectful. The room was very well appointed, bright and welcoming, complete with some fo the best upgrades for wifi and charging ports conviently located. The best set of sheets we've slept on in a hotel for a very long time! There was even popcorn for the microwave! The pool was comfy but could use a hottub. Excellent selections for a hearty breakfast to get us back on the road in the morning. Seemed like luxury accomodations at a very reasonable price. Thanks so much! We'll see you again! read more

RUN! Arrived at night and had a reservation. For our room and walked in and immediately felt gross. The room was not clean at all. The picture of the towel rack is of first room. The entire room was like this. The bathtub surround where the grab bars were attached had been glued back on and the entire surround was cracked everywhere. The bed looked like someone had been laying watching tv on it and there was some sort of food all over the table. Had them ya to a new room and as you can see there was mold in the bathroom. Someone's food in the fridge that was growing mold. The beds are old as can be and they have thrown a mattress topper on them that after 5 minutes go flat and you feel like you are on the concrete. The only thing that I can say is that it has good water pressure to pressure wash the nasty off of you. We would have left and went to another hotel but just drive a lot of hours to help family move. I will never stay at this hotel again or any Of their hotels. I can't imagine what I actually slept on. The place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Sad read more

Terrible place!!! Made a reservation for 2 queen beds for 4 travelers. We get to the hotel after driving 14 hours and they don't have our room!!! They have instead decided they will give us a room with 1 king bed and a small sofa pull out. They even charged us more! I couldn't fit my two full sized teenagers on the pullout sofa. What a scam and dishonest hotel. As well, the hotel is old, worn out and dirty. A bunch of extra furniture in our room, leaky faucet dripping all night. I have stayed in holiday inn express all over the country and this is nothing like the others. Lady at the front desk said, "well with 4 people we didn't think you needed a room with 2 beds." Front desk staff is AWESOME! Stephine, Tori and David were all more than hospitable, from informing us of local things to do to greeting us in the foyer with bottled water as we came back in from exploring. the Housekeeping staff were exceptional as well! Clean rooms and linens at the same time every day! Everyone of the staff treated us with the upmost respect and all while genuinely smiling and a great attitude. And all this took place while completely booked at max capacity due to a huge Rock the South crowd and multiple travel ball tournaments being held at the same time as well as construction going on in their building due to a busted sprinkler. this property is being maintained in the most professional manner while keeping a jovial atmosphere! read more

Although there are several neighboring chain hotels to choose from; we'd highly recommend this one when looking for an overnight, weekend stay or pilgrimage to the Most Blessed Sacrament; Room was clean, large and newly upgraded. King bed was very comfortable with a quality mattress. Very large flat screen TV with Keriug coffee maker/K cups in room. By far; best hot breakfast which is included. Eggs, cheese omelettes, sausage, sausage gravy, home fries, their amazing hot cinnamon buns, pancakes, yogurts, fruits... Coffee & tea available all day plus fresh baked cookies upon arrival. Clearly a well managed property. We'd definitely stay again! read more

When I made the reservation several weeks ago I requested a handicapped room for 2 nights (since my husband has suffered a stroke). The lady on the phone didn't seem overly confident in her abilities, I called back a few days later to confirm and I was told we had 2 rooms for 1 night. NO, 1 room for 2 nights and it needs to be handicapped and we need a cot too, we are traveling with 2 adults and 3 children/teenagers. I called back 2 days before we left and was told we still were not down for a handicapped room. The girl said she put an alert on the account. The day before we left I called to see if the handicapped bathroom provided a shower chair. I was then informed that the handicapped room was already rented. I asked about canceling and was told I would still be charged since it was within 24 hrs of arriving. We arrived to find a room on the first floor with 1 bed for FIVE people. We were then put on the 2nd floor and given 2 beds, a cot and a shower chair. This experience was stressful and I worried that if there was a fire, my husband and would not be able to escape. You really can do better. We have stayed at this specific hotel on and off for years while visiting Cullman, AL. It seemed to have more troubles on this trip than all the other trips combined. read more

Best Holiday Inn ever. And I am extremely picky. Easy checkin, super friendly staff at 11pm, clean room, smells good (very important), super comfy bed, really good breakfast. The only feedback I have is that the smell of chlorine at the front desk from the indoor pool is overwhelming. But that was small fries compared to everything else. Not what I expected from. This holiday inn is perfectly suitable should you need a room in cullman. It's clean, the staff is pleasant and accommodating and the parking is ample. It's just an older hotel with thin walls, it's a little noisy and has a slight sneak like smokers have stayed there before. Beyond that it's really not a bad place and I would probably stay there again for the money. read more

This hotel is way over priced. The rooms are old and smell like mildew. The front desk was very nice. I didn't say anything to them. But, the rooms need to be cleaned better and the air shouldn't smell like mildew. Thank goodness I was only staying one night. Wouldn't recommend this place. read more

We got a room with a jacuzzi for only about $5 more than the regular room rate. That's pretty dang awesome. What's not awesome? ANTS IN YOUR BED. Wow, really not awesome. I woke up to something crawling in my ear, I was mostly still asleep. I woke up several more times during the night as the ants bit me. At one point, I woke up my boyfriend to tell him I was getting eaten by ants, but I wasn't quite awake enough to be sure if this was serious or not. He fell back asleep (the beds and pillows are ah-mazingly comfortable). Woke up in the morning, still tired and now covered in ant bites. My boyfriend made it through the night with only one bite. Boyfriend killed probably two dozen ants - they seemed to be inside the room phone?! Then went to the front desk. They agreed to move us to another room and gave us $25 off our room for the first night. I am not really impressed with that very small offering as my night was disrupted, but the boyfriend was paying and he was just happy to be in an ant-free room. Night two. I get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I flush the toilet. I go back to bed. The toilet then runs for probably 15-20 minutes until my boyfriend gets up to shut it off. He can't, apparently the plumbing is too fancy. He comes back to bed and the toilet finally stops running a few minutes later. So much for a good night's sleep! Why does this place still get three stars? The beds are comfy, the pillows are fabulous, the staff is nice, and the jacuzzi was incredible. read more

Made the mistake of trusting the name. This hotel is old and dirty. Our room had gum stuck on the walls and when my toddler walked on the floor after 30 minutes of arriving, his feet were black with dirt...so I checked mine and same same. Disgusting. read more

This place was a very good choice for my brother and I to stay at during a fishing trip. We stopped here upon traveling down to Destin, Florida for October fishing tournament. We will be going each time we travel thru this area, the staffers here did a terrific job and deserve a good job well done. We even tipped the staffers and were told not to do this, we felt that welcomed here. I have a Gold Elite membership with Holiday Inn chains and I think many people would benefit from this also, check into this on your next stay. read more

Good hotel. Internet speeds have been fine. Offer both standard and 5G connections. No issues at all. Good location near several good restaurants. Pool was nice. Only wish they had a hot tub to go with it. I'd recommend staying here on your way thru. read more

This hotel was great. My family and I, 2 adults 1 child stayed for almost 2 weeks over the Easter holiday. I was working during the day so my wife was stuck there all day. The staff made it a point to get to know her and my 3 year old daughter. The manager and staff setup Easter egg hunts both Friday and Saturday. On Easter Sunday the manager gave my daughter a coloring book and crayons. I couldn't have asked for a nicer group of employees. Misty, Angie, Diana and Colby were great. Thank you so much for an absolutely enjoyable stay. The breakfast was great The services was great The wifi could have been better in our room, but was manageable. read more

Worst experience ever! Me and my partner mark (we are gay) went to the pool in the hotel. A woman came into the pool as well and was really friendly and talked to us (she said she was a hotel employee who had to spend the night) until I called my partner "baby". We were in close proximity and even kissed once. The woman quickly left and the manager came in and said a customer complained that two men were causing indecent exposure. She demanded we go to our rooms. She was so rude and was not reasonable at all to the fact that it was obvious homosexual discrimination. The manager was so rude to us and said that our behavior was completely unacceptable behavior in a public places and that us kissing would scare children and other guests. I immediately told her I was calling her corporate over this issue and her racist behavior. She said instantly gave us her name, badge number and said she welcomes us to call them. She said that she is gonna stand up against what is morally wrong. I have never been discriminated against and it was very hurtful and my feelings are damaged because she basically called me a monster. This hotel is NOT for any member of the LGBT community and should be avoided. This happened about 4 hours ago and I will be calling corporate and getting a refund. This is ridiculous! read more

Good solid hotel. After a long road trip we were happy to stop. It was late when we got in and we were greeted warmly by the man at the front desk. Room was nice and clean, comfy bed, nice water pressure in the hot shower. Decent morning breakfast and we were once again welcomed warmly by the incredible staff. Would totally stay here again if I happen thru town. Small warming if you are looking for drinks of the adult variety the gas stations nearby sell liquor and beer but stop selling at 11 pm so plan accordingly. read more

This place has been wonderful! We were on the run from hurricane irma from Tampa FL, and this was the first place we could find that still had rooms. They have been amazing from beginning to end! They honored a cheaper rate for those evacuating. Not only that, the employees have been extremely helpful and friendly making me feel at home with all my needs and wants. Thank you so much staff for helping me during this hard time. By the way Alabama, fix your antiquated alcohol laws!
