I've been a long-term customer and used to love this place, but the recent changes in staff have significantly impacted the quality of service. I went in for a pedicure, and the new technician was, at best, below average. A senior technician had to step in to assist, but in the rush, they cut the process short and didn't even apply a clear finish polish. To make matters worse, the senior technician then had to step away because another customer came in, which resulted in me being rushed to the drying area. This was a very basic pedicure with no complexity, yet it was poorly executed. I'm very disappointed with the new hires and the rushed, inadequate service they're now providing. While I understand that new staff need to learn, they should inform customers if a technician is in training or will be observing. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst pedicures I've had to date. read more

Went to get my nails done with my sister and her husband. Made an appointment for 2 dips and 2 no chip pedi and a mani pedi for her husband. Well after he got his mani the lady disappear in the back and 15 minutes later a walk in came and when we asked if they were going to do a pedi for him they argued with us that we didn't make an appointment for him. This is absolutely frustrating because we not only confirmed multiple times but we repeated everything when we walked in. They said he would have to wait till they finished the mani on the walk in but then said ok to do tye pedi first. Well they basically sat him in the chair for 25 minutes while the did the walk in. Ridiculous because he had an appointment and should been in and out and not stuck waiting for us to finish. The only reason I'm not giving this place 1 star is because the person who did my dip did do a really good job. read more

This place is just ok. I will only come here if I really have too. Each person charges a different price and does different way of doing things. One lady will massage your hands and feet during their service and others will not do anything but just to get you in and out. And the prices are never the same each time I came in. So I would go somewhere else but in a pinch and you really need to get in then go here. read more

I've been here a couple of times the last few months and the quality of their nail polish is TERRIBLE! I just spent $103 for a mani-pedi for my daughter and I, and in less than 24 hours, my no chip manicure is chipped and my daughter's pedicure is close to gone. They file the top of your nails until they are paper thin and they all end up breaking off. I would come here for convenience since it's so close to my house, but I would rather drive further and get quality than deal with this again. Never coming back here! read more

If you have been longing to try dip manicures, this is one of the best places in west Chicagoland to try it. Ericka is fantastic and the person to see. Their color selections for dips is better than most as well and the prices are extremely reasonable. They offer incentives - a punch card plus discounts (11:00am-3:00 on Monday to Wednesday they offer 10% off plus discounts for students and on birthdays.) If you have short, stubby nails and hands that always look unkempt, a dip nail manicure with tips will make your hands looking great for about 2 weeks if you don't abuse your nails. I decided to come to this salon because my nail lady is no longer avaliable on the days I have off. The shop is real cute and very clean. They acknowledged me right away . First I did call at 630 asking if I could get in cause I know they closed at 8. They told me 7:35 and I was happy they would take me even close to close time. I had Erica sweet girl she didn't rush even after 8:00 she took her time making sure all my nails were the same length. The only thing is it was a little more then my usual place by $8 dollars but that's ok with me. I will be going back for a pedi soon!! And will continue to go to Erica. It was my first time going here today. I usually go to another nail salon on 83 closer to my house but I decided to venture out and saw this place had great ratings on google. I got a gel full set and I'm soo impressed. Ericka is amazing! I gave her a great tip because she didn't rush and took her time and looked like she loved what she did and wanted to get great results. Sometimes that's hard to find at salons, I've had people just rush my nails. This is definitely the place if you like a more quiet, laid back salon. Netflix was on in the background and there was only 2 of us in the salon at this point. To be fair it was 10:30 am, but it was really relaxing. Searching for an emergency nail appointment after work, I called Holiday Nails on a Friday afternoon close to 4:30pm. They were nice enough to accommodate me and give me a 5:30pm appointment. I found a parking spot right in front of the nail salon and went right in. The staff was polite and the salon looked clean. Nothing super fancy. It wasn't a busy afternoon, there were two other clients at the time I arrived. Erika was my nail tech for the day. She was super sweet and took her time to do my acrylic fill in perfectly. She also took the time to clean the cuticle area with a brush after painting my nails (not everyone does this). She was able to give me small, delicate acrylics (which, again, not everyone knows how to do!). Overall I had a great experience at Holiday Nails. Highly recommended! read more

I don't go to get my nails done a lot but was in the mood to be pampered. Plus, I heard a lot about gel polish and that it won't come off as easily and wanted to try it out. The employees were very courteous and made sure I was happy with the results. What was even more impressive though was the girl getting her nails done next to me, who was obviously not new to the process. She wanted one of those complex drawings/designs on top of her newly painted nails and showed a cell phone picture of the desired result to her nail specialist. The specialist continually tried a good ten minutes just on one nail, trying to get the details right but would always wipe it away because she wasn't satisfied and would start over. She got it eventually, but it's just crazy for me to see the nail specialist try to be so exact with such a small detail. And here I was thinking I was special with my purple gel polish. Not really sure how much better this place could be. They were nice, the place was extremely clean and the prices were pretty average even though it's in Elmhurst downtown area. I read some reviews about people who were unhappy with the shape, texture or general look of their acrylics. Well, I went for the first time today and didnt notice until I was checking out that they were pretty lumpy and uneven. So, I did this crazy, crazy thing... i politely pointed it out and asked for them to be fixed. Immediately the owner looked at them and asked me to sit down and she fix them. She took off the no chip and filed them perfectly. She took her time and was very gracious. The customer service is above and beyond. I tried this salon for an mani and pedi. I will not ever go back. As Alice M. said the place is DARK and DIRTY. The fish tank is sickening, hate to think the last time it was cleaned. There is nowhere to sit when you have to wait. The place where you dry your nails is not only in a corner but there is not enough spaces for you to get your nails dried. I think the new nail polishes are an extra $3. WHY?? The mani was not very good compared to other places in town that are truly amazing! I also must of had old nail polish because the manicure did not last two (2) days. I had the mani and pedi on a Wednesday and by Friday, it was chipped and actually peeling off. I have been trying to make an appointment since they opened this morning. All I get is a busy signal.

I would give 0 stars to the location if I could. I made an appointment to come here on Tuesday for a new set of acrylics. When I came in and showed the woman (Lisa) my nails, we went back and forth about giving me a new set but she insisted I did not need one. I specifically asked because I had broken nails with old sets. After her convincing me not to, I got my nails done and went home. In less than 24 hours my nail broke. I made an appointment for 2 days later at 4:45. When I got there, the Lisa who was going to be fixing my 1 nail again was just starting someone else's nails. Weird. In the middle of helping that lady, Lisa decided to start trying to rip my broken nail off (they are supposed to be soaked off not literally ripped off). She proceeded to rip my real nail down to the nail bed (I have attached a picture). Next, Lisa moved back to the other lady she was helping initially and helped her until about 5:45... an hour after I made my appointment. Overall, I didn't get my 1 nail fixed until about 1.5 hours after I made my initial appointment. On top of all this, the skin on almost all my nails got nicked and bled (pictures attached). Overall, this was an awful experience and when I requested my money back or to speak to a manager, they refused both. And when I say refused... they refused. I am not one to post a bad review but this was by far the worst experience I've had in all 10+ years getting my nails done. I would like to specifically call out Lisa for her clear inexperience, possible laziness, and unprofessionalism. read more

I need to start by saying there were many quality aspects of my experience, but a single bad aspect ruined this review. I'll start with the positive. I had a pedicure which was a full hour and delightful. I moved on to a powder manicure, which turned out beautiful. Sadly, to remove my existing gel manicure, my fingers were wrapped with acetone soaked cotton swabs in tin foil (not uncommon), placed in plastic gloves, and remained that way before, during, and after my hour-long pedicure. Mid-pedicure, my hands started to sweat. I partially pulled off the gloves to cool them down. By the time they sat me in the manicure chair, I was pulling the gloves off fully. Now, one week later, each of my finger pads is peeling. I realize gel isn't the easiest to remove, yet believe under no circumstances should a person sit with acetone soaking into his or her skin for over an hour. Nails look good, fingers look like I'm shedding, and I won't be going back. read more

One of the ladies actually came to where I was drying and took the nail drying spray and sprayed my toes with it. I took that as a sign that I should leave. I am also not a fan of that spray. I guess it depends upon what you want in a salon. I thought this was my new go-to place until I made appointments for my daughter and I before a rehearsal dinner on a Saturday. I usually go during the week. A mom and kid got out of their car and rushed to get in before us. I didn't worry cause of our appointments but they did take them before us and my daughter had to wait until one of the technicians was done getting her manicure from another technician.
