He charges and illegally high "convenience fee" when you use a card, without telling you he's doing it. The law is no more than 5%. He charges a flat fee of 40¢, and most of his transactions are well under the $8 it would take for that fee to be legal. The law says he has to post a notice (he has one, but it's now mostly covered by a basket of apples) AND tell EACH customer EVERY TIME about the fee - he's not doing that at all. He also doesn't give you your pennies. He doesn't ask, he just keeps them. If the total is $2.98 and you give him a five, he'll hand you $2 back and shut the register. It doesn't sound like much, but he's doing that to every person who pays cash, it adds up. I'd give him negative stars if I could.

I avoid going into the store and usually just pump gas and leave but our experiences have varied over the past few years. You more than likely will be approached for money both outside and inside. Ci even had a gentleman offer to pay for her candy with food stamps one night in exchange for some cash! What an offer! If you are lucky, you might even see a drug deal going down. I have to give Kudos for anyone who works here because of all the crap they must put up with. They are not necessarily friendly but most convenience store clerks aren't. Its a typical SuperAmerica but its unusual in that, you would expect something a little less sketchy in the neighborhood. I hope they try and clean it up before the Stadium is finished. People from out of town will be petrified to stop there!

NO BACKPACKS IN THE STORE! COME UP FRONT!" I go up front to find out what the problem is, and she tells me that it's a new store policy, even if I am a regular customer. I'm thnking WTF. They have decided that the solution to their high theft problem is to lock up every household product with a dollar value above 99 cents. This "solution" means that you cannot look at the product you intend to purchase, nor can you carry it to the checkout yourself. Additionally, the already over-worked employee forced to baby sit you is not interested in the fact that you may need more than a nano second to consider your options before making a purchase. Let's not forget, that as the burdensome task of waiting for you to decide on your product falls to this presumably union employee, this arrangement forces them to treat you as a potential shoplifter. This allows them the space between you and them since, as you can imagine, they spend their shift being yelled at and generally crapped on. Well, Cub, at Midway. This is your grand plan to make money, is it? Have all your products behind glass, and then, if anyone has the audacity to point out how ludicrous this is, the only option is to complain to an employee who also realizes what a complete waste of everyone's time and energy this but is forced into compliance lest they complain and risk their $13.21 an hour, no benefits. So, I think it goes without saying that I won't be shopping at this Cub again. But I know the decision-makers don't read these reviews, nor do they care. "Nothing to spare", my usual line. Service was nice. I asked about if they had a little cafe there, but they don't so I left. I followed a guy stealing two cans of energy drinks that he palmed.

Last night, I saw a dude walk in, grab a corn dog, flip off the cashier and leave. The cashier ran outside, grabbed the guy's cell phone and took it back inside. Apparently, cell phones are legal currency for SA corn dogs. Who knew? You will have lots of time to enjoy the freak show, as the cashier line always moves at a speed approaching that of growing grass. Come for the crowds, stay for the insane. Or not. Bah.
