Eyeballing potential customers is not a good way to bring in business. The only reason I kept going back was purely convenience and hours of operation. Triple A is like the old neighborhood service stations from 40 years ago. Staff is friendly, a gentleman greets me at the pump to ask if I need help with filling up my car, cleaning my windows, anything. The mechanics are knowledgable and prices are reasonable. The lot is kept clean, and the convenience store was recently remodeled and looks great. Triple A is a good neighbor to Airport Heights, and even though I moved to South Anchorage, I still make the drive over to Triple A to gas up. They're just that good.

I never get a perfect wash, but I like the monthly pass and that components don't touch my car. What I don't like is I never get a perfect wash, it's been closed numerous times when I've tried to wash and OMG this location is just scary! So as far as fuel or the store goes, I don't exit my car here and I'm always VERY aware of my surroundings. Some may think I'm being melodramatic here but when I personally know a couple of people who have been physically assaulted here and hear horror stories from others, it's just not worth it. They aren't ripping you off, but I also wouldn't go out of my way for the prices. What makes this gas station great is the inside. They have pretty much everything. Sure, it's mostly "gas station food", but the have one of the largest selections of "gas station food" I've ever seen. They have a whole aisle of beef jerky, a whole wall of coffee, a whole cabinet of baked goods, etc. Other bonuses: - they have free air! (for your tires) - they sell firewood! (great to pickup in town before a weekend of camping/cabining) - they have lots of frozen food if you're too lazy to go to a full-on grocery store, but motivated enough to leave your house
