What a tramp hole!…read more We stayed in one of their 'chalets' which is an upgrade from a caravan and I dread to think what the caravans were like. When we got their we had to go straight out and buy cleaning products because it was so distgusting we couldn't shower or use the loo. We had to wash everything in the kitchen before we used it. then when we left they had the bloody cheek to charge us money because we'd 'left some pans dirty'. Which is a lie! they just couldn't cope with giving the whole deposit back to someone. £15 for dirty pans that weren't really dirty! On the plus side the only other campsite that accepts groups of young people are Smugglers haven next door - and they are really expensive!

I don't want to ramble on about how good/nice it is but it has 2 bedrooms, 1 double/1 twin, a bathroom with shower/bath/toilet/sink, a separate toilet with sink. A fully equipped kitchen (no dishwasher) but washing machine. Lounge/dinning area, with tv,video,DVD player, radio & cd player. Above all it's on a small complex, which is totally silent, occasional helicopters to RNAS Culdrose. A perfect place to see perfect sunsets & view the night sky with little or no ambient light. You are no further than 2/3 miles from little coves with beaches or the coastal route around the lizard. If you are looking for that perfect place then this is it, even two teenagers liked it so can't be bad. This is 100% value for money, I will certainly be returning & would highly recommend it. I would avoid this money grabbing company because they don't bother to check with the owners before taking bookings and taking your money.

Within minutes Debbie had us in our room and settled. It is a 3 room boutique style B&B in a lovely house right in the midst of St. Ives down on the harbour. It is a short 5 minute walk from the train station. Our room had a spectacular view of the harbour, and the sunrise the following morning. It was truly a million dollar view. The bed was beyond comfortable with fantastic pillows and bedding. The room was well equipped with a mini fridge, tea and coffee, and a modern en-suite bathroom. The breakfast room was bright and spacious, with a fantastic view of St. Ives harbour to inspire you to get out and enjoy the fresh sea air. Breakfast had a good variety of choice with fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt and a choice of fry up. The bread used for the toast has to be mentioned so yummy and such nice thick slices. Debbie and Carl our hosts were lovely, very welcoming and professional.

From the outset it was obvious that that the owners were highly passionate about providing an unsurpassable level of service. It was obvious that such passion in the care and attention paid to guests was honest. This is not to say that the level of attention paid to was overbearing. Indeed, our hosts appeared to appreciate that travellers and tourists often want their holiday to begin as soon as possible and not spend a great deal of time having the rules of a guest house laid out. Therefore, we were given a warm introduction, had our luggage taken to our room, and had only the most fundamental of information explained to us. Overall, service was 10/10 We stayed in the penthouse suite. My partner did not hesitate to mention that the bed was the most comfortable she had ever been lucky enough to witness. The room and all of its furniture and utilities were spotless. There was not one thing we would have chosen to change regarding the room. It really is worth staying in the penthouse, if only to appreciate the unhindered view across the harbour. There was more than enough storage space for all of our belongings. The interior decoration of the suite was ideal in its white tones. A wide range of breakfast options were available, limited only by one's own appetite. The breakfast specials were particularly delightful. I for one enjoyed the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs on an english muffin, while my partner enjoyed mushrooms on toast. Overall, what we enjoyed best was how approachable the staff seemed and how friendly and warm they were towards guests. Also, the room was without fault whatsoever. If you can, the penthouse is quite simply the best option.
