I wandered in while waiting to go on Brum Radio and ended up buying my lunch of a thai vegetable wrap and a super red juice. Both were fresh, healthy and wonderful and also massive shouts to the woman behind the counter who was friendly happy and well informed about all of the products. We ended up having a lovely chat after I had paid my £5 for my food/drink....I left smiling and went to eat sat on a wall, in the sun. Ideal. The lady that works in there is lovely. She does my Nan's feet all the time and comes highly recommended. The main reason that I go in there is for the occasional vegan treats that they have, which are a wide range of faux meats and cheeses, dairy free cheesecakes and ice cream and mixes/spreads. The sales staff I never find to be very accomodating, I have to be honest. A couple of them have been quite snippy with me before, but you can't be too picky about where you shop when barely anywhere in the area stocks things that you can eat! They carry a lot of general food and health food items - stocking items I can't manage to find anywhere else (Oat Bran) and having a wide choice within each range. Upstairs they also have a health beauty department. The staff are polite and fairly friendly. The only drawback is having to spend over £5 to use your card. The shop is only small but is like an Aladdin's cave with so many different items stock. The staff are wonderful and know exactly what they are talking about and if they don't they look it up for you; they will not just pretend to know and risk giving you bad information. They will also give you there honest opinion if they think and item is not going to help you, they won't just sell you something just for the sale. If I am ever unsure about anything I am considering to take as a supplement to my diet I will always visit this shop first for an honest and straight forward answer. The prices are very competitive.
