Migrating waterfowl stop here frequently to relax and grab something to eat. It's a great place to fish, too. It's a little tricky to find, so follow your GPS or the helpful signs. I found a cabin with a grave stone in the front yard, and a hiking trail through the woods. The trail was nice, and I walked for a little ways, but didn't have enough time to follow it all the way (Also, it is deer hunting season, and although there is a mailbox that says orange vests are available to wear, it was empty). I would like to come back again some time, and see the whole trail. There weren't really any signs that explained the history of the cabin, nor a trail map, which I would have liked, but otherwise, it's a nice little place to get out into some nature . . . Cheers!

The Sewickley Bridge is hit-or-miss . . . it's either gonna be all backed up with traffic . . . or it is gonna be empty. I call this the "detour" bridge. The I 79 bridge over Neville Island is currently under…read moreconstruction and there are times when that bridge is closed completely. I happened to hit it at one of those times. What would normally be a 1 minute crossing turned out to be a 45 minute detour! The Sewickley bridge connects the road to the Sewickley business district on one side and Coraopolis on the other. As others have said it can be hit or miss with this bridge because of the traffic lights at each end and the turning lanes onto it. It crosses the Ohio River and makes it a bit easier to get to Moon Twp and to the Sewickley business district from there. Other than that please be aware of the fact that this is the Penn dot chosen detour for the I 79 bridge.

I used the Red Blazed trail and it was fairly decent, nicely cleaned (except spider webs, which I find very annoying) and it was just barely over a mile. The end of it was a very steeeeeep uphill that'll get the heart racing and the sweat running! This park features full restrooms, parking and is pretty well blazed and easy to navigate. My sister in law booked tour stop tickets for us to do the tour. We were excited because it would…read morelimit the collective driving and parking issues at various stops. Everything is ridiculously vague. The pick up location indicated one area outside the Fairmont Hotel, but there was no signage and a very helpful valet pointed us to the pickup location. We were in place over 10 min early with one person still monitoring the other designated stop just in case, but that didn't mean anything because the "pickup times are approximate." We waited about 25 minutes and figured that the bus running over 15 minutes late seemed a bit extreme, so my SIL called the company. Apparently the bus came and left from who knows where and we never even saw it despite being able to see clearly down five different streets. Our next option was to wait over an hour for the next bus, but the person on the phone couldn't provide the exact bus pick up location, which made waiting pointless if the bus was not going to be at the advertised location. We ended up sightseeing on our own.
