I was told I'd be in front of a judge in 6 months, but a year and a half later I still haven't seen one. Looking forward to true justice being served and ai replacing people like these.

My case was closed the moment I had my first conversation with the lawyer and said I didn't want to pursue a case. I was still billed unnecessarily. Please beware! Original review: I should have looked closer in to the negative reviews and demeaning and very personal responses by the owner. My whole experience with this law firm is disheartening. I reached out in October of 2022 to start a relocation case. After my first and only call with the attorney I told him that I no longer needed the services and asked if I can just keep the firm on a retainer. The attorney assured me that was fine. I received my first invoice and was surprised to see that I was charged $372. I called and spoke to someone at the law firm and was assured that I wouldn't be charged (This was my first error and I should have requested that in writing). I called this past week to get a refund thinking it would be for the full $2500 seeing as there were no services rendered. I was very surprised to see that I was billed $450 over time; including the initial $372, due to the firm sending "check-in emails or letting me know my case is inactive...well duh it's inactive it never started. After looking through the invoices I was additionally billed $15 for the firm to send a welcome email. I was charged after saying I didn't want to move forward for the firm creating a case chart or adding parities and previous case/docket numbers. I was also billed for the initial phone call with the attorney even though there is a line item further down that said it should be no charge in good faith to the client. I don't understand why any of this was done when I said I didn't want to move forward. I feel nickel and dimed for absolutely no services. Please be aware.
