We had used Overhead in another state many years ago. They were good enough and had no problems. We are an hour from Billings but still in the southern part of the state. Keven arrived the next afternoon and work for about two hours. When he finished, he opened the door. I noticed the door didn't open all the way. He closed the door and tucked a cable into the track. He opened the door and it seemed fine. It didn't take long until it wasn't opening all the way again but that was okay. We were still able to drive our pickup into the garage. Then we traded our "little" pickup for a "bigger" pickup and we couldn't drive it into the garage. I called Overhead Door of Southern Montana. To claim southern Montana as your service area is a really huge area with a number of small towns. They were really busy and didn't have anyone to go to the outlying areas. They would try to combine some of us so that no one was paying the full amount for mileage. I appreciated that and I expected a phone call later that week to let me know when they would be in our area. I didn't get that call so I called again. No, they didn't have anyone to come to the outlying areas. Everyone was busy with "urgent" commercial projects. I called again the next week. My husband was anxious to get our new truck into the garage. I was told the same thing as the week before. I wasn't very happy and I wasn't very nice. She said they were "family owned". I'll give them a star for that. She said she'd talk to the boss. I didn't hear anything for the rest of that week. On Tuesday of the following week (two weeks after my call that someone needed to come back), I had a voicemail that Overhead was coming to our area. I called back to tell them, "Too late. We are going to someone else." I truly appreciate family owned businesses. But if you have a big contract or multiple contracts, then hire the necessary number of employees or subcontractors to get the work done.

We purchased an older house with a beautiful nonstandard sized door. Unfortunately the lock…read morehardware was original to the house and long wore out after over a century of use. We really wanted to keep the original door since it is something special but getting the hardware updated was an absolute nightmare. Hours of poring over catalogues, looking at eBay auctions trying to find vintage parts brought up nothing. I spoke with at least four different locksmiths in town including some who specialize in old houses and absolutely nothing came of it. We had actually gotten to the point where we were going to give up and look at having a replacement door made so we could have modern hardware that will allow us to properly lock our front door. We found Rocky Mountain door by pure chance and after a couple of phone calls and in about two weeks, the original door was taken down taken to their shop and had nice modern hardware fitted to it and I think the door is ready for another hundred years. "You'll be fine" Unfortunately I made it about 2 miles down the road, when I actually saw the tie down give way. Pulled over by 32nd/Central, 2 nice gentlemen from State Farm came out and assisted. But again, I made it another mile before the tie-down gave way. I called my husband and son, and the three of us spent another hour reloading the door and securing it properly. When I called to let them know loading was NOT good, it was a flippant "sorry about that". When I called back to speak with the owner, he gave me only excuses why it was my trucks fault. I really wanted for them to apologize and remember NOT TO LOAD the next vehicle like that. The door installed really nice. They built a good product, in a short amount of time. So I spent money locally, (which is good) they had the product to me quickly (another point), the product is excellent in quality (no air leaks) but service and customer satisfaction is thumbs down.
