So on the Christmas holiday week, it was a long shot finding anyone such short notice. But we was very lucky to find Anna online, I called and emailed her on Christmas day, she was super nice, answered all my questions in details on the phone and email. We immediately setup a consultant appointment follow by the photo session few days later. We had a great experience during the photo session. Anna and her husband setup a studio in our small apartment. They were very patience, accommodated my baby feeding schedule, and took many photos with several setup. Because of my planned traveling coming up at that time, Anna prepared the preliminary photos for us to review very quickly and she came visit us again to review the photos together and gave us information about the prints and some great suggestion. Few days later and few more email exchange we were able to review the final photos after touch-up and placed our order via the online gallery. Anna did a great job processing and touch-up our baby photos and she was open to all our inputs and requests. Overall, we have a wonderful experience getting our baby photos and enjoyed the whole process. Anna is a great photographer, she is professional and very friendly. She is a mom of two small children herself, therefore she understand what newborn and small children parent are going through. I would use Anna service again and recommend her to our friend if anyone want their baby photos taken. Lastly Anna's service price is reasonable compare to other photographer/studio in the bayarea, and if timing is right, there might be some good promotion too. However, my daughter decided to arrive 2 weeks early and I had to quickly set a new session date quickly. Anna went our of her way to clear her schedule to come to our home for the session the following weekend. She and her husband were wonderful with my little one; they have kids of their own and knew how to handle her and get beautiful pictures. I was THRILLED with how the pictures turned out and was impressed with how easy going and understanding they were when working with our newborn - they didn't even complain when my daughter peed on them (multiple times!). As the first reviewer put it: Liz ROCKS! She also happened to be one of my favorite wedding vendors of all time. Here's why: 1. Easy going - she was very easy to work with and we felt comfortable communicating our "vision" to her without feeling like we were being the stereotypical paranoid and overly nitpicky betrothed couple (which I admit we were . . . or okay I was). 2. Responsive - returned our e-mails and phone calls promptly and was easily accessible. 3. Professional - she asked us in advanced for our preferred shot list (mostly for the posed pics), showed up on time the day of, was courteous to our bridal party and all of our guests and was everywhere but virtually invisible (to me at least) during the ceremony and the reception. And the shots were beautiful! She also didn't roll her eyes at me when I gave her my play-by-play itinerary on an Excel spreadsheet :) 4. Quality - like I said: when I look at my pictures, I always feel a sense of gratitude for having Liz shoot our wedding. I found her from a wedding photojournalist association website and if you're looking for someone to capture "the day", she's the gal. During our engagement photo shoot, my fiance and I were a bit giggly and awkward but by the end she had us feeling like professional models who felt totally comfortable in front of the camera. She gives incredible direction and was great at getting us into natural poses that she captured so well. She was 6 months pregnant at the time and even though that didn't hold her back in the slightest, she came prepared with two extra shooters to help in case she needed it. I think my favorite thing about Meg is that she is so great at making you feel comfortable and keeping the flow of the day going. I never felt like we had to stand around posing forever. She is able to capture such a wide variety of photos in mere minutes because she very clearly directs everyone to where they need to be and is great at drawing out laughs and smiles and natural expressions. Wedding days can be stressful and nerve-wracking and she was so calm and encouraging that she put me at ease. He was also very accommodating with our schedule. I mentioned to him that the portrait was for special cultural event and he even researched about it prior to the day of the photoshoot so he could make suggestions on props and poses. This meant a lot to me that he actually took time to do that. The day of the photoshoot, he was punctual and came before the photoshoot to scout the location. Our daughter is 4 year old, and he was amazing working with her that she stayed engaged for the duration of the photoshoot (which is pretty long for a 4 year old). We all had a lot of fun. And the pictures.....they came out absolutely amazing!!! If we are going to do another family portrait, I know for sure that I'm contacting him again. I wanted a picture of my kids with the Easter bunny and I'm not sure if it was the end of the day or what but service was lacking... BIG TIME. 1. The Easter bunny costume was kind of creepy. You can see the eyes of the person wearing the costume in the pictures :\ 2. The photographer was not friendly nor did he try to get the best picture possible of the kids. He didn't bother to pose them or tell them to smile. 3. Prices were high and of course it's expected for these types of events. $10 - 4x6, $15 - 5x7 & $20 - 8x10. I wouldn't mind paying for a great picture but that's not what I got.
