Very helpful staff. Menu was in German & English but any additional questions they were able to answer. I had a traditional German Dish. Wirtshaus Trio. I had sauerkraut (yum) and a liver dumpling (awesome) potato dumpling (yummy) and a potato dumpling filled with liver (taking back to hotel for later). Very filling. I wanted a German red wine but they only had ones from France so I went with a white German wine. It was the Grauer Burgunder NAHE. I typically am a red wine fan but this was fine with my dish. Homburger Hof sports a decent atmosphere and friendly staff. There is nothing positive to say about the food however. We had three different dishes, all of which were very salty. The first dish was OK, though you could tell that the ingredients, ie the tomatoes and the cheese were of low quality and tasted bland. The other two dishes were very greasy and had a side of salmon that was clearly off. None of us felt like finishing our meals and were quite disappointed since a family member had recommended the place. Would not recommend. read more

well it came recommended as deceny food so i decided to give it a go. The interior is quite decent and the menu in paper form is a bit different. I decided to go for soup and a snitzel. the soup was standard, bit chemical tasting (prefab?) but was ok for the price. The zigeuner snitzel came and were actualy 2 small snitzels (that is already a warning) under a again very prefab looking sauce. The fries were thin and also bog standard apart from the salt pepper mix. So far it would still be 3star but when asked if I had enjoyed it i was honest and said it was ok, but have had better. The waiter then said: for this price? so he clearly felt that having a lower price is ok to give lesser quality. Here they clearly are not interested in serving quality and even less in feedback!
