My husband and I went with my mother in law to pick up a couch she had put a deposit on today. She was told they had one in a box so we rented a Uhaul to go get it. We arrive and are told there isn't one in a box. After going back and forth with a sales associate named Misty Shore, she smarted off to my mother and law and of course my husband stepped in. Misty stated "I apologize, but I can be rude sometimes". She then kept on and told my husband "you need to get the fu#% out of my store. I'll give you your fu#%^*+ money back!" All in front of our 5 year old child. Then a little fellow came over and slammed the sliding office door shut on us. Luckily a lady named Heather stepped in and apologized for Misty's attitude. My mother in law decided to proceed and order new in box furniture. My husband and I planned on buying new furniture from Appliance King as well, as we've heard good things about Dan the owner and all the employees. I assure you, we will spend our money elsewhere all because of one very unprofessional employee named Misty. We went and paid for 2 box springs for our grandchildren on Monday. We were told they didn't have them in stock there and they'd have to deliver Tuesday. The delivery driver called Tuesday and said he forgot to pick up the remaining box spring and if they could refund our money and we go somewhere else to find a box spring? Needless to say we called them this morning at 9. They said they would call back. They haven't! We've called them and they keep disconnecting the call. I think Fox8 should pay them a visit! Why would you shop anywhere else? Appliance King saved me $500 on a Whirlpool washing machine!! I was told 2 weeks for delivery at another store. I stumbled upon this business after visiting a very popular furniture store in Lexington. They had a variety of what I had been searching for after going to 20 stores. These guys are awesome. Easy to work with, delivered on time, honest about the items being purchased. I have several rental properties and not only is it fast to get good replacements there, when I did have an issue (1 out of 12 purchases) they did take care if it. We purchased an entire household of LG appliances from these guys. Upon installing the fridge, the icemaker never worked. We have called 4 times, one time the owners girlfriend said she would look up our order and send out an ice maker, the other 3 times I was told we were on a "list" and someone would get back to us. Which of course has never happened...NOW after about 3 loads of laundry, the dryer isn't drying. We gave up and called the LG appliance repair people...and the cost of the dryer fix alone is going to be between $150 to $200. They are ordering us a new motor for the icemaker and hopefully that fixes the issue (not sure what that will cost us???) . So our great deals have turned into not such great deal! Purchased a washer and dryer in july and have literally had a problem with them every day. Today it is a suds problem. We were told that both were brand new, but it's apparent they are Not. Such a nightmare! I'm just scared to call again bc last time they charged me 75$ to come out... and this was just to look at it..6q Znga. not fix it. I bought a refrigerator from this business. They gave me a fair price and delivery went fine. However, the fridge did not function properly. Hey, that happens with used refrigerators. So, we contacted them and Misty helped us get a different fridge (new instead of used) and gave us a great deal on it. Only reason I don't give them 5 stars is they were less than perfect about delivery and being on time. We purchased a washing machine and they had to replace it once because I didn't like it. They were great about that. Then the next one I got does not spin during the spin cycle. They came out and saw it didn't work right and were going to bring me another one. Never saw them again. Inventory changes every day so call back. They helped me when nobody else could. The oven went out at the worst time, right before Thanksgiving. With 20 people coming, we needed something NOW, you know, to fit very specific measurements. We bought a brand new 24" double wall oven for less than a third the price at other places and we picked it up immediately. we bought a kenmore connect washer in may. A dent and a little paint missing....... The day they delivered it .....................made a flute like sound every time I did a load of clothes. It last 7 months and started to not spin.... We thought $200 was a good price for the washer... But should have lasted longer. I wished we would have went to Lowes and bought a better machine! We purchased a range from Appliance King. We got a great deal, less than half we would have paid anywhere else. After the fist use, the glass top cracked. We contacted Appliance King, and were called back ever time. Really nice people from the ladies on the sales floor, to Chris that handles repairs, to the owner. I wish I had looked at the grade this business has on the Better Business Bureau website. If I had I would've never walked in the door they would not deliver my product and then they refused to refund my money luckily I was able to put the appliances on a credit card and my credit card company took care of me. read more

I purchased a washer and dryer set from Appliance King and I was happy with the deal that I had been given. Upon delivery, it was noticed that the appliances were used and not "brand new" as described in the ad. There were large scuffs and dents and scratches that were not in the pictures in the ad. When we told the delivery man to take them back as they were not what we paid for, he became upset and cussed at us. I found out later that the man that cussed at us is the manager! Let me say that I did not go to the store and look at them, only the specs that were sent with the ad. Purchased a 3 door LG Fridg from these people 3 years ago. Yes the price was good but the product and their concerns with problem is terrible. After 2 fridgs. we got one that worked three years ago. Move forward to Dec.2015. Had a problem with keeping cold. Made a trip to their business which is 60 miles from my home. Talked to Missy in the office as she told me the owner Danny was not in. I told her my problem and she stated she would relate to Danny and he would call me with what may be wrong. Waited 3 days no response. Called her and she said he was told about my visit. Waited 3 more days, no response. Called her again and she said she would call him and would call me back in about 15 min. I have herd nothing from her to this day. After another 2 weeks and 3 service calls from 3 different service companies and over $200.00 in fees fridge is still not repaired. The main problem I have had with the service people is they would not work on the unit since the serial number had been removed and their companies would not let them work on the fridg.since it was remanufactured unit. My wife found a cell number for Danny the owner. I called him around 8PM and spoke with him re:the problem. He says he was never told of my issues. At that time he told me I needed a mother board and told me that would take care of the problem. I ordered it from Sears parts and installed it as he told me how it was done. I installed it and the fridge would do nothing. I found out it had to be installed by a factory rep as there were codes that needed to be installed by a factory rep. Of course this was not to be as no one would work on the thing. I called Danny back on his cell phone and the only thing he offered was to sell me another fridg. from another manufacture at his cost, that he would call me back the following day with a price that was at his cost. As of today I have not talked to him and he will not return my calls. I have tried 3 times and left a message. If we had investigated this Company before purchase I would not be writing this review. I trust if you are a potential customer that you take my review and the others on here and stay away from them. I plan now to purchase from a legitimate retailer where I can get it repaired. Although I found what I needed, at a reasonable price, and they were able to deliver it when they said they would, the customer service is the worst I have ever seen. They said there was a 30 day warranty on my Fridge. The ice maker did not work, so I called. They said they would fix it, never called back. We called back, they said it wasn't covered, but they would 'see what they could do'. No call back AGAIN, so I call them and they got all nasty with me, told me I was inpatient and that they did not have to help me at all, then hung up on me. Still no ice maker, I guess I'll have to fix it myself, or return the whole fridge. I bought the fridge because of the icemaker. We found this company on Craiglist and they deal in new and used appliances. We bought a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and microwave from them. Their prices are really good and they offer a 60 day warranty (at least for the used stuff) and claim they will come to you for any repairs to save time and cost to the customer. This hasn't been case though. We realized our microwave was missing mounting parts and one side of the cover wasn't fastened. We had to drive to their warehouse which was over an hour away. They made repairs and provided the mounting hardware. While we were there we mentioned the dishwasher door not opening all the way without feeling like we were going to break something, but no one seemed eager to talk about it. A few days later our stove gave an error message indicating a bad sensor. We emailed them a couple times explaining again about the dishwasher and now the stove and just asked for someone to get in touch with us to schedule the repairs, but never heard back from anyone. Their prices are great as well as the selection, but their service and general communication leave a lot to be desired. read more

NEVER EVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO FLUSH YOUR MONEY DOWN THE TOILET OR JUST LIGHT A MATCH TO IT!! First let me just say these people don't even deserve one star but I wasn't able to put anything less so....Here we go. I purchased a white side by side fridge from these lying, no good, practically invisible thiefs. Five days after purchasing, the fridge quit cooling and the freezer quit freezing. I called, texted, was promised to have a repair man come out and fix the problem. Been a week and a half and nothing. The dryer I also purchased from them at a deal I was told, yeah rite, has wiring crossed and the cutoff switch was inoperable so the dryer runs even though the door is open. I finally gave up on these useless lying people. These people should be investigated! They are the worst, least helpful, lying, thiefs!! Needless to say I have learned my lesson and will never purchase from again! I wouldn't purchase a hammer from these people because when I went to use it for the first time it would be broken!
