They use subcontractors and when there is an issue they refuse to back the subcontractor and just tell you that you have to deal with the sub. I got a quote for a pool to be built and the gentleman was very professional and seem to check off all our boxes. He said he'd give us the official quote in a week in a half. Well fast forward to 3 1/2 weeks later we finally had someone call us on his behalf saying he would help us. I said sadly you are too late we are under contract with a different pool Company now. I never would have thought the gentleman we met with would not get back to us when he said. Plus they say their pools take 3 months and that is a lot longer than most pool companies but maybe it's because they leave out of the country often (we were told he was out of the country) and don't have anyone to take their place when they do. It's just not a good way to do business. They lost a lot of money by not doing what they said they'd do because we were ready to sign with them! read more

Have always had good customer service when looking for above the ground pool needs. They are the only ones in town who specialize in above ground pools. Yesterday my fiancé went in for a hose and was assisted by Doug who explained and even drew a diagram of how the new sand filter and pump we purchased on Amazon that came with no instructions should be hooked up. We had an appt for someone to come out to help with the set up scheduled for June 10th! That's how busy this season is! My fiancé had the hoses backwards lol. This new filter and pump combo is not the cheap ones these pools come with. Anyways tho thank u Doug!!! Our pool is ready for memorial wknd!!! Your instructions were clear and concise. Saved us $130. I purchased a Superior Fireplace from here back in September costing nearly $5000 and had it installed by my contractor. The fireplace comes on but does not keep the flame. I called Home & Leisure to come out and service it knowing that I will have to pay for the service call. They put me in contact with Hussein. I called him several weeks with no response. Each time I got him on the phone he'd ask if Adam called me. The service here is horrendous and unacceptable. UPDATE: Since this post, Adam has contacted me and is working very hard to get the issue resolved. I appreciate that they acknowledged the review and they are working with me on a resolution. read more

Literally the nicest, most helpful people ever. We were having issues with our pool set up and we came in with pictures of our pool and pump and they were able to give us all the parts we needed, on top of a free comedy show. ;) It took is 45 minutes to get here, and definitely worth the trip. Got some additional gaskets and was informed we need to trim the liner. Ok, good. Liner trimmed, and still leaking. Another phone call and we were told to buy waterproof grease/ o-ring sealant... which would have been nice to have been told yesterday on our 1st or 2nd trip. Go literally anywhere else to buy a hot tub! Worst experience I've ever had. I purchased a 13,000 dollar hot tub around a year ago. The sale went smooth I loved everything the salesman promised but it was far from the truth. The delivery was where things went really wrong two people showed up to remove the old hot tub and put the new one in. Which was definitely not enough manpower because I had to help! Plus they asked me for PVC pipe and tools. The installers ended up breaking my fence and smashing my finger because they were careless and did not give a shit about my fence. If you think it ends here it doesn't. They got the new hot tub in place, but it was too late to hook up the electrical. The installers come back the next day and attempt to hook up the electrical. To then tell me my electrician did something wrong and the power isn't working. So they leave I call my electrician to come out and see what the problem is (which I was charged for). My electrician then tells me nothing is wrong on his side. The guy is not hooking the electrical upright in the hot tub, but he cannot do anything because he'll be liable. I wrote down what the electrician said the installer was doing wrong. So once again, Home and Leisure is called. The same installer comes out after explaining what the electrician told me he finally did it right. But it still doesn't end there. The hot tub is filled up and tested one of the jets is leaking and the installer attempts to fix it and breaks the plastic top piece off. Says it'll be a couple weeks to fix they have to order the part. There's a four year warranty, so I'm not too worried at the time. Well, a year later and it's still not fixed! I've called about a handful of times, and they did attempt once, but brought the wrong part. The customer service and installers have been a nightmare, but on the bright side, the Jacuzzi, I purchased a super nice. read more

You can see that since new management took over there hasn't been any complaints. I have been working with Geno and his store for a few months now and have been nothing but impressed. They got me a great deal on a spa and delivered it right in my backyard. They even unpacked it for me. They offered to bring an electrician for a small fee as well but I had my own guy. Phenomenal service. This wasn't my first jacuzzi purchase either. I got one from Home Depot a few months back and they delivered it to the curb. After grabbing some neighbors I was able to get it in my driveway. A few days later me and 6 of my friends couldn't get it to the backyard so I ended up having Home Depot take it back. I thought I wasn't meant to get one but Geno did a quick site survey and assured me he could make it happen. And he succeeded. I'll wrap up with talking about the customer service. It was top notch. I called well after hours because of my job and he was all too happy to answer my questions. His delivery guys are just as good. Overall I literally couldn't be happier with my experience. read more

Save your self the headache and time! I purchased a fireplace unit over a year ago. After the initial purchase it took about 5 months for the unit to get installed. First they ignored us after we called for an ETA then they finally sent someone for the electrical work which wasn't done right. They sent another electrician who said he would not be able to touch anything because the electrical work was done wrong. A few more people came and finally the electrical work was "done". After a while the fireplace unit was installed but it would not work without it being plugged into an outlet that was on the side of the wall. So a wire was sticking out connecting to an outlet outside because the electrical work was not done right in the actual opening/whole for the fireplace. They said this would be fixed right away but it was "safe" to use. Little time goes by and the fireplace cracked and the wire is still sticking. So here we are with a very expensive crap fireplace. 7 months later after many ignore calls, rude customer service representatives, and ignored text messages. Karaj finally begins to call back after I have been trying to contact him all this time to send someone out for assurance. This has still not been fixed and I have been calling everyone trying to get this done. I'm ignored and treated with so much disrespect every single time. Save your self the headache and time I have been trying to get this done for over a year and still cannot get them to do this right. The main issue is I have had a construction hazard in the main hallway of my home a huge whole in the wall. And for some reason NO ONE can really sympathize they treat you bad and even yell at you, they want you to understand them but can't understand why you are upset. read more

I'm a disabled Combat Veteran who requires a hot tub for continued therapy due to injuries sustained in combat in iraq in 2004. In 2014 home and leisure employees removed a hot tub from my property at the instruction of my exwife and without my authorization. I understand the employee did this without knowledge it was not to happen. I chose to purchase a new spa in 2015 from home and leisure . I paid almost $6000.00 in cash and the spa was delivered. I had existing 220 power ran to the back of the house which ran the previous hot tub with no issue what so ever. The hot tub was delivered with the 110 power jumper in place ( Irene told me it has to be in place because the heater runs off 110 power, despite what the installation instructions say on the inside panel of the hot tub.) The end result was the mother board being burned out. Home and leisure sent their "technician" Kelly and her nephew Jason to my house with a "new" mother board, it was installed with the same 110 jumper in place. This burned out the mother board again. The "technician" Kelly told me the power was wired wrong and I explained to her I had two different certified electricians come and check the power ( two legs of 110 , a neutral and ground. All connected correctly.) I contacted Jason via cell phone and tried explaining to him the jumper was the issue and his aunt the "technician" Kelly kept yelling in the back ground it was wired wrong. I've requested no less than two times to have them come pick up the hot tub and give me my money back and I was told by Irene that "No I voided the warranty by removing the jumper " even though the spa manufacture confirmed it should have never been in place because it was known to be a 220 power source. I went today and tried to get them to take the spa back again and told them I would be going to the better business bureau and to small claims court! I've been without a spa going on 2 years now and I feel as if home and leisure has done nothing but take advantage of a disabled combat veteran. I absolutely love this place!!! We got a killer deal on a hot springs spa. The owner is such a great guy. He even fed us while we were looking around. We have a special needs child and he did not mind that my son was going crazy around the store. They really care about the customer. Every month or so we go in to get supplies and they always offer to help us out and even test our water to make sure it's balanced. I did not give them 5 stars because when the spot did get delivered they brought the wrong stairs for it but overall this place is awesome read more

On Saturday June 22, 2013, I purchased a reconditioned spa and was told they only sold hot-springs or Jacuzzi's spas. I was told that I would be contacted on Monday the 24 for delivery. However, by 4pm no one had called and then I called them. They said the spa was to be delivered on Thursday the 27 at 10am. At 11am I called them again and they had no knowledge of the delivery. They finally figured out that the spa had not been delivered and said that the spa had a leak when it was checked out on Sunday, but they would not deliver the spa until the leak was fixed. The spa was delivered the following Thursday. I filled up the spa and by the next morning the spa had a noticeable leak. I called the company and they sent a repairman to my house to fix the spa. However, I was informed that my spa was in fact a Solano Tx (equivalent to a ford pinto) instead of the brand I bought. Instead of fixing the one leak, there was an additional leak on the following day. I called the company back again, but no one would speak with me or take my calls. After one week, I called them to pick up the spa since they had no customer service or the competence to fix the leaks that should never had existed. They finally responded saying that they could fix the spa, but I told them I wanted to return the spa. They never came to pick up the spa and instead tried to charge me for restocking fees, pick up, and cleaning fees. The monetary value for each fee changed with each conversation. Since they would not take back their spa, I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. Over the next few months the company fought the dispute. By December 2, 2013 I received notification that the case went to mediation and determined in my favor and received credit for the spa and canceled my credit card. I thought everything was settled; how wrong was I. In May 2014, I received a call from the BBB stating that the company was trying to collect the money in the small claims court. Again nothing happened until June of 2014 when I received a collections notice on the spa. I sent papers to the company collection agency, and the BBB stating that the credit card company ruled in my favored and that no charge was outstanding on the spa. Finally in August 2014, they picked up their spa when they realized they lost the legal battle and were never going to receive any money. They signed a letter stating that I owed no money and the collection agency would be cancelled. On September 12, 2014 an active collections notice was placed on my credit report. I have not legally owed any money to this company since August 2013, but they still affected my credit score. I called the company again and they said that it was my problem and not theirs and were not very helpful in rescinding their illegal claim. If you are looking for crap that is defective before you buy it with no customer service then Home & Leisure Superstore is the place for you. The company cares only about $$$ and not you. If you buy anything from them, you will regret it and it may negatively affect your credit score. read more

I shopped this store to potentially buy a new jacuzzi after previously buying one from another location which has worked, without trouble, for 11 years. They refused to compete with pricing, offered a "match" to what I was offered as a return customer. Jerome appears to have made a complaint to their "regional manager" & tried to block my purchase from another store. Mind you, I am already an 11 year customer of the other place, & shouldn't it be MY PREROGATIVE whom I choose to do business with? To make matters worse; Jerome offered a "match" price but after making his complaint & thinking he was sure to get the sale no matter what, at any cost, he raised the price up $1000. Adding to the insult, he said prices (in less than 24 hours ago) have gone up & instead of out the door pricing, he now said he needed to collect tax for entire purchase including the price he quoted previous as "out the door"! I called them and finally got a repairman to come and look at it, a part had to b ordered, that dec. 13 called today and she said they just ordered the part Friday dec 27 !Two weeks later!! I only write reviews when there is something exceptional, good or bad to report. I went to this store today because I needed help trying to sort out an issue converting my Blackstone grill from propane to natural gas. I was hoping to buy some additional conversion parts (even though I already had the Blackstone conversion kit). I was astounded at the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. I did not buy the grill through them, but they truly went out of their way to help in any way they could. Aside from help from Adam up front, one of their shop techs (I think his name was Patrick) rummaged around in the back and found a couple of used connectors that got me started in the right direction. I just came in off the street, had never been in the store before and these people were especially kind and helpful. Although I did not pay a cent for this help, I did get a chance to look around and discuss with Adam some products my wife and I are interested in so I am hopeful I can give them some business soon. Also noticed they had a lot of pool care products (since they sell spas as well as fireplaces, etc.) and I will patronize them for my pool needs in the future. Great people, what more can I say. I do understand this is new management - when I look at a couple of the negative reviews (seems to be older ones) I can tell you I saw the exact opposite today - an outstanding business. read more

I purchased a Quadrafire fireplace insert from this company in 2012. This unit cost me over $4000 dollars. I have had it 2 winters and it has broken both winters. This unit would not come on at the end of 2013, and it was determined that it had faulty ignition and thermo coupler that needed to be upgraded. The initial service technician was a joke, going as far as to ask me what I thought. It is currently the 12 th of February, and it is still not working right. These people are a consumers nightmare. They are un reachable by phone, and are terrible about keeping appointments. I don' t recommend buying anything from this company, as you will be left high and dry if something goes wrong. If I could give the unit back, I would. Tell everyone you know that this company is only after your hard earned cash, and once they get it, good luck if there is a problem.
