If you pop in and let them know what you are looking for they will attempt to source an antique fireplace to your specifications. I visited the store to purchase a fireplace for my house and at first was overwhelmed by the choice. Eventually I found a reproduction piece that is so beautiful people as me if it is original. The staff at the store were very helpful and ordering, delivery and fitting was stress free. I had a sneaky check on the internet and couldn't find the same piece anywhere cheaper so their prices seem competitive.

This is one of not many remaining town centre branches of Mothercare, and is much smaller than most of the more common out of town stores. This Mothercare has a range of clothes and accessories for babies and children up to about 8 years old, as well as a small selection of baby and toddler toys, and pushchairs and car seats. Their clothes have a reputation for being good quality, but the brand is not as popular as it used to be. Price wise, Mothercare struggles to compete with discounted shops and the web, but still must have some loyal shoppers who remember going there as children themselves.

Everything I've needed for my new house is here - from a toaster to the right IT connector to the precise metric nut and bolt needed to fix a microphone stand! Incredible range of cable from bellwire to 60 amp, nails still sold by weight, lots of paints, garden stuff - and friendly staff who really know what'll fit, and which shelf it is on. You can get good quality S hooks here for your pots and pans; something that is hard to find in North American kitchen stores -- that is because we rarely get European quality items. Great selection of kitchen scale (albeit expensive) and molds for chocolate and cookie cutters. Pastry chefs would not be disappointed. I wish my luggage could fit the 8" round cake liners. Superb customer service. After endless food photography and scenery shots, I ran out of memory on my SD card, they carry that as well. If only we weren't travelling on backpacks... 160 Canadian dollars later, yikes. My husband should have hidden my credit card in a jar of lard, but the new additions are going to be well loved.
