Giving them two stars because of parking…read more They charge for parking which is ridiculous. There's a small free section that fills up quick and the rest of the parking is paid. You have to download an app and everything. At least make it a coin machine. Sad that you have to pay to go to the library. I ended up just turning around and going to another library. It just screams greedy for money. Make the parking for a public library free! Hopefully they change this soon.

My wife used to go here to study for her college classes. She was not studying law, but she found…read morethat this library was quiet and she could concentrate on her studies without any interruptions. Back then, little did I know that I would actually need this library's resources. A company that we were dealing with decided to call us to small claims court. In my whole lifetime, I have never been sued. So this was a first for me. I didn't know what to do. When I came to this library for help and the staff guided me in the right direction. They put me in touch with a small claims adviser where I received help on what to do with my case. They also told me about an event they were holding that month where lawyers would come to the library to help people with their law questions. We came to this event, and we were able to talk to a lawyer about how to handle our case. All of this was a tremendous help. I am not involved with the law profession, however, I have always found the law and what lawyers do to be really interesting. I took it upon myself to go to this library to study on all the aspects of the law involving our case. The staff at this library cannot give law advise. However, if you ask them a question about a law, they will do their best to show you how to find information about that law. I came in so often that at one point in time, the staff members almost knew me on a first name basis. This library is filled with the most professional law books that anyone can find. It would cost a fortune to acquire the books that this library has. You can look up a law on the internet and get a limited amount of information on a law. However, if you look up the same law in the books at this library, you will find cross reference information to other cases that involve that law. It is like you are looking at a treasure trove of cross references to many other cases. You cannot find these kinds of links on the internet. It takes some learning to get to the information you need. This is where the staff will help you. I have found that this law library and other law libraries in other cities are great assets to have. I give the staff here a thumbs up for their great service to our community. By the way. The good news is we won our small claims case.

I'm saying that to say....there's no access inside the building on a Saturday, for a few hours. I went there, because I had to print something out. I'm not sure how much of a help they could be, being outside and didn't ask, since what I went for, couldn't be accomplished. I know this is only a temporary location, but they moved from the hood, to the trenches.

There is plenty of free parking (the Main Library in Downtown Riverside is much bigger but has a limited number of free spaces and you would need tokens from the Kids Center librarian on kids activity days to pay if you're in a Pay-to-Park spots). Although this location has some homeless people outside sometimes, the inside is nice. Service: Staff have been very friendly these past few years from Mrs. Gloria, who's frequently seen at the main checkout counter or running the Baby Playtime and Preschool Playtime Hours, to the young ladies who assist with the crafts. Activities: In the summer (going on now) they have free lunch for kids under 18 on Mondays through Fridays. So you can take your young child to Baby Storytime on Tuesdays or Preschool Storytime on Wednesdays then stay for the lunch (Riverside City Program) between 12:00-1:30. Don't forget to sign up for their Summer Reading Program where your child can get a prize for every 5 books read or read to them if they're very young. Prizes (in order) include a free swim, free kid's meal at Old Spaghetti Factory, a free mini churro, free ice cream with purchase at First Class Pizza, Free Kid's Meal at Chipotle, Free kid's meal at Raising Cane's, Free personal pizza at Roundtable, Free 3 oz. yogurt at Yogurtland, Shop Riverside Discount Card, and a free book (select titles) at Barnes & Noble. They also have toys that can be checked out for two weeks. There's a catalog of toys including Legos and Magnatiles or dolls that can go home with the use of a library card.

I would suggest asking the ladies at the front desk for the portal website before you try to connect, another tip to connect to the internet is to use internet explorer not chrome. Once I was able to connect to the wifi, I was happy. It's so empty in the mornings and in the afternoons people start getting there but nothing to crazy. The library is clean and well kept. I will def return to study.

They also have events throughout the year with more crafts, games, balloons and airbrush tattoos. Special shoutout to Ms. Dani, who brings such incredible energy to every class!! She's super animated and enthusiastic when engaging with the kids which really makes the program that much more special.
