I want to write a very high review for Steve, who came to our home a few times. The first was to install nice new matching door handles and exterior door locks. The second was to mount a large flat screen TV on an existing, dated TV cabinet. He designed it first and with approval, built a fine TV mount on new board over the old TV cabinet, taking care to hide all wires and speakers. The last item was (I think) the most difficult, as we wanted to match a handrail on an opposite side wall of the existing handrail in our older house for better stair safety. The handrail profile was very difficult to find, but he persisted and knew that only a matching profile would look nice. He finally found it, and described to me the many decisions he made to have it match the other side (angle, where it started and stopped, how far away from the wall, etc). I had no idea about how painstaking it was, but I can tell you that it looks like it had always been there and I so appreciate what a perfectionist he is. Steve is an amazing professional. I reached out on Good Friday (along with 5 other companies listed on Yelp with 5 Stars, more on this later.) He responded within an hour, and we were able to schedule his visit to my home to conduct the repair. His schedule was packed, but he fit me in. When Steve arrived, I informed him I had a few other items needing to be done and was under a time constraint for completion. He said no problem, he would get them done. 9.5 hours later all tasks were completed with the highest quality. What a combination... Quality AND Commitment. I highly recommend this company. In the event of your new teenage driver smashing a hole in the side of your house, this is your man! Stevie showed up on time, looked at the hole in my house, picked up a piece of broken siding, and asked if he could take it home to best figure out how to work with the material. The next day he returned and patched things up as good as new. I kinda wish he had not done such a good job, so that I could hold it over my kid's head a bit longer. I have used Steve on two different occasions. Both times I was really impressed by his professionalism and punctuality. He showed up for both appointments a couple minutes early and was very responsive to phone calls. His rates are very reasonable as well. I can't say enough great things about Steve. We needed to add a door in an area with a small/tight opening within a tight time-frame. We were also having trouble finding a cost-effect solution because the doorway opening required a non-standard door. Steve was extremely creative and found a custom, cost-effective solution that kept our project below budget and well within our time-frame. We were beyond pleased with the result. We also had a dishwasher that needed to be replaced and the Home Depot installation guys told us we'd need to cut out the tile in our kitchen floor to get a it installed because the space was too tight. Steve found a way to get the old dishwasher out and the new one in and working - without cutting any tiles. We were ecstatic. Steve met and then exceeded our expectations. I am so thankful to Steve for the fantastic job he did hanging bamboo shades at our home. Retained Steve to install semi custom cabinets which formed an entertainment unit. After 8 hours on the job, the only progress made was to unpack the individual units and cut 4 holes in back of base cabinets for cable and electrical outlets. As he left for the day, he stated that he would charge 5 hours. He was extremely slow in crediting back the $150 deposit. He did charge 7 hours (@ $75/hr) on my credit card which I am disputing with the credit card company.
