I was lied to by Michelle Bridges so called former Youth Pastor.She describes herself as this so I'm not lying. I have it on video. Many people in sales tell lies she is one of them. The company tried to sen people to my home we did not want in our home so I cancelled The service. Per Contract they charged me over $480 and never set foot in my home for one minute of respite care. Tried to use them for my 95 year old mother with Alzheimer's and hip replacement. Could not provide a consistent care giver. Of the ones they sent many were not adequate. In this type of service business consistency is required. Very disappointed. read more

I have had a Home Instead caregiver for about a month to care for my mother so I can get out for a bit a couple of days a week. I cannot express how pleased I am with the care that my mother receives. The caregiver is the kindest, most attentive person and has formed a nice bond with my mother. After undergoing a procedure as an outpatient in the hospital, I was given their number to give me a ride home. My driver, Marlene, was the most helpful and friendliest person you could ever meet. She had a big smile on her face and made me feel at ease right away. We chatted all the way home. Home Instead was totally there for me helping me with paperwork and their staff was the friendliest and efficient staff helping you along the way. I will definitely use them again. I used their service for only two weeks to take care of my mom while she was staying with us for a short period, wanted to stay with the same company due to the fact that is who my sister used back home in Ohio where my mom stays plus they have all her information. Well they are lucky they are getting a 3 star I'm not to impressed on how things went the first day they were to come my mom won't let the caregiver in well the phone calls started to me and my husband this was all discussed prior if this was to happen what they should do, well the caregiver refused to go get the key from the office said she wasn't getting the key from a third party I was livid cause this was all gone over previously as well as talked about leaving a lock box but when I talked to them they had no record of it. Well my husband ended up leaving work to let her in when he got home he could not find the lady well she left they had to call her tell to go back she said she was there he said no she isn't he looked in front and in the back all in all by the time she got in and my husband got back to work it was 1:45 and when I got home I looked at the paper work to see what the caregiver wrote how the day went I noticed she but her time down as 12:30 I was I think not my husband work is 5 min away so there is no way she was in my house at 12:30 I was not paying for someone that was not there when she should have been I called the next day to let them know. They sure got that lock box out to my house which I still have I called and they said they would come and get it nope no one has shown up yet I've had it since Labor Day weekend. The second week called gave them my schedule on Sunday I didn't know if anyone was coming until the night before they never had anyone for one of the days and far as I knew all the way up to the day I went in we didn't think anyone was coming to be with her and at the last minute the lady that was with her picked up the shift I'm not at all impressed with this company. We used the services of Home Instead of Louisville for several years for caring for my mother. Originally their staff visited her at her home, later they provided supplemental care at her senior living community. We are greatly indebted for their staff's kindness, hard work and diligence. It's a well-managed organization with compassionate people, both on the street and at the office. In addition to the people, we were impressed by their ability to schedule services at the last minute, particularly at odd-hours.
