The office staff for one, are incredibly rude and definitely do not listen. They ignore your requests on what you want to do and don't want to do as a worker, for instance traveling, they purposely added a shift to my friend, which was over thirty minutes away and was in the town they had specifically told the staff they wouldn't work in due to personal matters. They didn't ask if it was okay, they didn't discuss any of my friends shifts at all. The whole point is choosing your own shifts and where, not the employer's.
Juanita, yes I am naming names, is incredibly ignorant and disrespectful, treating my friend with such rude behavior, on her first day too. She says she can't work around schedules, and went as far as to rudely say, "what do you want me to do about it". When you in fact can work around schedules, this isn't a full day or night job and it's literally something almost all jobs are required to do for employees.
My friend is quite a busy person, so they were doing their errands and what not, and had gotten a call whilst busy speaking to a banker, therefore they couldn't answer the call. They then received another call while they were sleeping (they work night shifts too) so they obviously didn't answer, so then Home Instead has decided to fire them due to irresponsibility. Now they are even holding their check until they return a silly little shirt. My friend has been there for maybe two weeks, this is unacceptable behavior from the employer's.
Home Instead is a complete joke and is not worth the hassle of arrogant employees. McDonald's is better than this. If I could rate -5 stars, it would be done in a heartbeat. read more
