Loved that they showed up wearing masks and respected social distancing. My handyman David was helpful and knowledgeable. He came out for the first appointment-- which was to fix a back door that had gaps between the door and the door frame, letting in water and bugs. He noted that the door had been previously kicked in and he reinforced the deadbolt for longer screws. He did that free of charge. He also told me what type of new door to purchase and picked up the door for me from Lowes. Upon the follow up visit to install the new door, there was an issue with the door being the wrong size because my threshold was smaller than standard. He offered to return the door for me so I wouldn't have to deal with the hassle of returning it. He and his crew also did some handyman magic and were able to finagle my existing door and fix it. I still have a small gap in the corner of the door that wasn't able to be adjusted completely but it's better than it was before and I think he and his team did the best that they could given the unique situation of the threshold size restrictions. Will definitely be hiring their services again in the future! read more

Update- Called Handyman and inquired about the Pella lock replacement part that was ordered. Told…read moreit finally became available and that the technician Jimmy B, would be available Wednesday between 2-3 pm which was fine. Got a call from Jimmy Wednesday morning asking if he could come over earlier. No problem! Come on over! Jimmy arrives at 12:20, and removes the temporary lock, and after some adjustment procedure on the new lock, it was installed. Door now locks perfectly, and is back in the original looking condition. The original estimated labor charge was now paid. The process of fixing the Pella French door took longer than expected, only because of getting the needed replacement parts. I don't hold that against Handyman as it was beyond their control. The work done by Jimmy B was first class and yes I would recommend Handyman to those who require that type of service.
