On July 13th my mother passed away (!) and I was about to travel to Europe for her funeral and didn't want to leave my family behind without ID cards so inquired about this since I didn't receive any proof of insurance yet. (!) However, when on July 17th (over one month after my signatures) I still did not have any proof of insurance or binder or anything, I was worried and asked a few times about a status update. Especially after my mortgage company started to notify me about the absence of any insurance. Where I expected some helpful customer service, especially in light of just losing my mom, I literally received the most unprofessional and embarrassing e-mail from him that I've ever seen from any service provider. It was sent at 12.32am (!), had no salutation and basically, I'm paraphrazing' told me to stop questioning him, shut up and just believe him because he 'knew what he was doing'.... (this is no joke, this really happened) Needless to say that I will never to business with Marc Kogan again. He now transferred to Harry Norman Realtor Services, I believe.

I wasn't even sure I would be able to refi to a 15 year due to the state of the housing market and falling home values but they gave me tons of counseling (for free) back in 2008 and they advised me not to even spend the $400.00 on an appraisal since it wouldn't come back in my favor. Well, a year later I emailed them once again and we ran the numbers together. They said it would be close, but it was worth going to the next step...spending money on an appraisal. Once the appraisal came back it was only a matter of paperwork and patience. The level of communication and professionalism from the team at FMOG was amazing and I will use them again for future refi's or home purchases.

June 2017 is when I found out they never did. Phuto said she's very sorry she changed the mailing address but forgot to transfer the insurance. So, I have been paying renter's insurance to an apartment that I no longer live in for six month and my current apartment was never insured. So, I asked them to back date my current apartment insurance date to Dec. 5/2016 so it shows this apt. been insured since dec. 2016 instead of June 30/2017 or give me my money back which is about $93.00. They said "No" to both requests. I called state farm customer service multiple times to sort it out or at least give me a decent explanations but every person that answers the phone puts me on hold, talks to the agent, come back and says "they're sorry they can't help me, I have to discuss it with the agent. They just took my money for no reason at all! The agent Robert was very rude! he told me to call my lawyer and hung up the phone on me! I'm also so disappointed in how state farm handled the situation. They don't do anything to help you when you're having issues with your agent! I have already changed the agent and looking to the change the company it self hopefully very soon. If you decide to go with this agent, e-mail them all requests -that way you have proof, DO NOT DO AUTO PAY- mine was auto pay, there was no way for me to see what I was paying for.
