They will cut any wood they stock to a size you desire, there is one assistant who doesn't seem to like there job but you will find the rest of the staff very courteous and helpful, the also stock a nice selection of plants. But for your day to day more main stream D.I.Y stuff maxwells is a winner every time on price.

It has two levels, upstairs is kitchen & bathrooms. Downstairs is general DIY, paint tools etc. I find it in the middle of the Market when it comes to price & quality of goods. At Xmas they have a good selection of lights etc. As a bonus they do give nectar points with purchases & the staff always ask if you have a card so as not to miss out if you collect them. Fair sized car park with easy access to local bypass & main routes. It's very close to a couple of discount carpet places & that particular area is being developed with two new super Market superstores. Preferred store for me in this area.

I got loads of bargains in this branch for 50p, for RRP £3-£10. This B&Q branch is also very close to other shops, such as ASDA, JJB sport, Mc Donald. Some staffs in this branch are also very helpful. They are willing to explain DIY method in details with customers, which absolutely big plus when it comes to DIY. However, always make sure you check the price tag in the shelf before you go to check out, as sometimes the price tag in the shelf has not been updated. Easily accessable by public transport and by car (although you do have to park on the street). Timberland sells a range of hardware. The most popular being laminate and hardwood flooring. They also sell fire surrounds, radiator cabinets and all the little bits you will need to do a decent job. The staff are really helpful and will try to work out the cheapest price for you, using the measurements you provide. Showing you where you could save by laying the laminate differently. The also deliver for a small fee and can recommend a fitter if you would prefer someone else to do the hardwork for you.
