Always aware of his needs and pro-active in making the proper adjustments with his prescriptions. I've also seen tremendous improvement in my mom's health and wellbeing and she hasn't been this happy in a long time. It's nice to have this place in our neighborhood. The house is fairly new, modern and cozy. All needs are addressed and there's nothing they won't do to make it a comfortable experience. It was difficult in the beginning not knowing what to expect when considering living assistance. Looking back, I'm confident this was the best decision, moving my parents to this home.

We needed around the clock team to take care of all their needs. We had Visiting Angels come to their home. They were great however the responsibility of all their medical appointments, meals, medication management, housekeeping, daily care maintenance, etc. were all on my shoulders. Lots of stress and lack of sleep due to taking care of both. Then I contacted Integrity Memory Care. Upon entering this group home, I immediately knew that this was the place for mom and dad. Svetlana's (owner) attention to all the details is impeccable. It has a homey feel and the beautiful home and surroundings is topped off with a high standard of care. All of the caregivers have been compassionate, loving and caring to both of my parents' needs. The home itself is new, clean and beautifully designed. There is a large patio and backyard with mini golf. All the meals are home cooked and they pay attention to dietary needs. There are certified caregivers on site 24/7. This home accommodates up to 6 residents so it provides tailored attention to each resident. No one is lost in the shuffle like that of a larger facility. I hope this review helps any one who is faced with a difficult decision of where your love one can reside. My original goal was to have them move in with me however after observing all the love and care they receive now through this group home, I would have done my parents and myself a disservice. I can now rest easy knowing that they will get around the clock professional and tailored attention. If you want a peace of mind with a well-rounded attention for your loved one, please consider Svetlana, her team and home. They are exceptional. Thank you!!!

It was a blessing to find this facility with the help of a social worker. I met with the Executive Director, Erin who helped me understand the facility's approach to caring for its residents. She brought me a since of calm that I had not experienced since starting this journey with my spouse 3 years earlier. The office staff is professional and caring. The caregivers, nursing personnel and other staff are compassionate and always helpful. I no longer feared a call from an assisted living facility as I had in the past because I knew everything was under control, and my spouse was well cared for at all times by knowledgeable and tenderhearted personnel. As my spouse's condition deteriorated, everyone from office staff, to cottage staff were very kind and comforting. I routinely visited, unannounced, so I could check on my spouse. I found him well taken care of and happy during my visits. Hospice personnel who ultimately helped with the care of my spouse coordinated with The Cottages personnel, and my spouse was treated with respect and dignity. When he passed away, the staff were genuinely upset and empathetic toward my needs. I highly recommend The Cottages in Peoria AZ to care for your loved ones.

After considerable thought I decided to write this review.. I came to check this facility out for…read moremy mother in October 2023 after she got sick. We were on a very strict budget. Initially, I was impressed with the property. I spoke with Kimberly, one of the sales people. She seemed very kind and understanding of our situation we were in. Very empathetic and said all the right things etc. I had told her repeatedly that I just wasn't sure my mom would fit in because she was shy etc. Kimberly assured me that she personally would show my mom around and take her to the dining hall etc. I felt very confident with her and I even cried telling her our story. She gave us a "deal" with the start up cost. She showed me an apartment that was available if we decided to have my mom come live here. Let's just say that while my mom was living here Kimberly never once came to visit her so that really was bothersome and hurtful. Basically she's a good sales person and that's it. My mom arrived on a Sunday. Rosa was the med tech who checked her in. She was awesome! Throughout my mom's stay, Rosa was so thoughtful and my mom loved her, we all did. My mom had many, many amazing aides and med techs. We are all so very thankful to them all. Linda and Florence .. God bless them, they were with my Mom when she basically took her last breath. We will be forever grateful to them. The admin staff in charge need training on how to provide quality customer service. No one in charge ever came to visit my mom the first week she was there. It was on lockdown due to Covid but still someone should have come to her unit and welcomed her/us. I was there staying with my mom and NO ONE came to see us other than the aides and med techs. It was a hot mess also with her medications. I had informed Kimberly that we would NOT be using their pharmacy. No one contacted me prior to my Mom's arrival letting us know what we needed in regard to prescriptions etc . I made sure she had all her prescriptions ready for them. Once there we were told that we needed scripts from the rehab place she came from. It was all very confusing and the head nurse Nancy was very, very annoyed with me. Super obvious. She told me that it is much easier if the resident uses their pharmacy. Too bad. We were on a budget. I met with her several times the first week, but still she never came to visit my mom. She had met my mom once when she did the evaluation a month earlier, so for her I guess that was it. Aldo, I guess should have been the one to come by and welcome my mom but apparently he was too busy. On the 5th day my mom was there, she had a fall, my sister called an aide and they had to call Aldo. So that's how he met my mom. From then on, I feel as though Nancy and Aldo were pretty much over us. I was very hands on. I was demanding. I wanted answers etc. this is my mother in a brand new place. She had lived on her own and now here she was in a new apartment. She was confused and scared. We were also trying to get state aid and let me tell you they don't like that, although they accept it. Nancy pretty much almost ruined it for us and she had NEVER even seen my mom for over a month when she gave the phone interview to the state representative. Aldo did provide us with a care plan for my mom since it became apparent she needed more care than what they initially thought. She was falling or slipping off her chair. Each time Aldo or Nancy would have to be called. My mom was afraid of those two. Especially Nancy. Nancy would tell her that if she kept falling she would have to leave etc. my mom was so anxious that she was afraid to push the call button when she did fall. I could go on but basically if your loved one is going to live here ask about prescriptions prior to their arrival. Don't believe everything your salesperson says to you.The apartments are very nice. The food is pretty good. Yes my Mother passed away while she was living there. She never really took to it. She was there only about 6-7 weeks. She always felt they were going to kick her out so at least she went out on her terms. The med techs and the aides came by when we were moving her stuff out. They were all so very sweet and it was nice to hear how much they liked our mom. No one in charge came by. If we happened to see one of them while in the hallway they would stop and give their condolences but it meant nothing to us because if you cared so much you would have come by the unit. Ironically, my mom was approved for the state aid but passed away just days later. Assisting living places are very expensive and this place is one of only a few who do accept state aid so that's good. Overall, it's a nice property but just do your due diligence prior to moving here and while you are here. Always be on top of the medications and always look after your loved one.

The Memory Care unit is operating under different circumstances. All the staff is not trained for mental health behaviors as they claim to be. My mother has a mental illness and she has the onset of dementia with Alzheimer's approaching. She cannot care for herself physically and is mentally challenged due to several mental health diagnoses. Because she was deemed difficult to get along with they have given her a termination notice. This appears to be a pattern as another reviewer complained of this same thing. My mom's fears from her PTSD were not addressed properly and I asked that they accommodate her needs. She was frightened of some caregivers and at times used inappropriate language to express her needs. She has tried to call me several times but they take the phone out of her hand and hang up and tell her she can't use the phone. They moved the handset of the phone off the receiver so it could not be reached to make a call. (See picture) I was told before I signed on the dotted line that my mother would be able to communicate to me using their phone and vice versa because my mother did not have a cell phone. Now they are telling me no, she should have her own phone while in Memory Care. When I called in to speak to my mom last month when I was out of town attending a funeral service, the operator would not put the call through. I pleaded with the Exec. Director Nora and Nursing Director Jessie. They would not put the call through. They would not even use their personal phone, or walk down to my mom's room for me to make sure my mom was okay. Then I asked if one of the caregivers could help. They did ask one of the caregivers to use their personal phone so I could talk to my mom. But subsequently no other calls went through for any family members who have tried to contact her. Ayesha and Michele, the med techs/caregivers for Memory Care get 5 stars for handling my mother's panic attacks and confusions. They are trained on behaviors and always remain pleasant and in control of any situation they are put in. Unfortunately, not all their staff is able to deal with mental health behaviors. In my opinion, all the staff should be trained properly regardless of what shift they are on, so all the residents can get equal treatment or their license should be taken away for Memory Care. I was told they could handle my mother's behaviors when she was evaluated and she was accepted as such. I was told she could communicate with me when she needed. Now, I am looking for another place for my mom. Think twice or you may be in the same situation and it isn't pleasant.
