If you dont know what to get, the the hamon serrano panini, the jame adds a touch of complexity to the excellent array of ingredients. and I cannot recommend the orange juice enough!!! This small place was full the first time we went and we couldnt go in. We decided to go catch a table next day and went before 10 am. Found a table and ordered coffee. I actually ordered an Americano but what I received was very light American Coffee. All right I thought, they dont have good coffee but its ok. I ordered an Espresso Machiato to get something stronger and it was better. When our friends joined us for breakfast in like 20 mins, it took us a while to place an order. Not because of us but because of the waiters. At first we had a nice waitress actually,but she disappeared for some reason. The moment after we placed an order, we did not receive it for an hour. Seriously, no kidding. We asked them what the problem was and the answer was unbelievable: they said they were busy and we could cancel if we want as they didnt start making it. The problem here was mostly the attitude actually. We paid for our coffee and waters and left the place thinking never ever to go back. The owner was saying things like well you see how busy it is. No matter what happens, no matter how busy you are, you can NOT find excuses for your mistake. The table behind us came after us and they were eating while we had to go next door and grabbed a sandwich. Seriously, he could have been nicer, packed a sandwich or something instead of finding excuses for being busy. Noone would wait for an hour for breakfast that hasnt been started being prepared. I really couldnt understand the 5 star reviews. OK I am not from Berlin, but we went to many local restaurants and all took very little time to serve so obviously, this isnt a regular Berliner way to behave. At a regular hour, the place might be cool I dont know but for breakfast it really wasnt the right place to go. Oh and we had a quiche and it was the worst quiche, I ever had in my life, the onions soaked too much and made it taste like water. Nothing to recommend, cute atmosphere, ok machiato and bad attitute to sum it up. read more

It was one of those wish-you-had-air-conditioning days and I wanted a cold drink. Homemade popped up as a good place for freshly made lemonades, so I walked right over from Boxi. It was busy for lunchtime but I was able to find a table outside and in the shade. I got the feeling that if I didn't order when the waitress came over, I wouldn't get another chance for at least 15 minutes, so I ordered the first two things that sounded good. I ordered a lemonade, well really a limeade, and a panini. Although the serrano ham panini was a bit small for 3,70, I thought the price was worth the combination of ham and fig jam. The limeade was ok. It tasted like a waterdowned pomegranate-cranberry juice beverage. When we were done, we asked to pay and were told to go inside to pay. This was no problem but I was surprised that our orders were taken at our table but that we couldn't be charged in the same place. read more

A friend has just moved to Berlin and I was there to visit. He had told about this place he went that had the most amazing cakes so obviously I had to check it out. He didn't know the name just the rough location so we decided to go look for it. We walked for about an hour when we finally found the place. Boy was it worth it. There were too many cakes to choose from so obviously we had to two each! We went for the most popular which is a berry cheesecake, a brownie and baked cheese cake, some almond thing and a Portuguese custard tart. All DELICIOUS. Nice coffee and really friendly staff and cool quirky little place. Can't wait to go back. read more

The worst experience in Berlin. Its looks lile a small, cosy place to have coffee or breakfast at first glance. We saw the place while walkin on the street and couldnt find a table to sit down, so decided to go early next day to have a long Sunday breakfast. We went to the cafe at 10:00, waited for our friends until 10:15-10:20. In the meanwhile we ordered a quiche and two coffees. Both of which were very unsuccessful. We ordered americano, but the coffee was a filter coffee, and quiche was terrible. Then our friends came and we tried to order, which was quite a challenge. Just to keep it short, after we completed the mission "to order", we started waiting for the breakfast until 11:30, asked for it twice, and nothing came, not a reasonable excuse or the breakfast itself. We cancelled what we ordered, paid for the rest and left. The staff of the cafe was still making up excuses while we left, sorry but I really cant understand why it takes more than one hour to prepare a cheese platter. A more appropriate manner would have been just to apologize and try to make it up for it rather than trying to find nonsense excuses. So if you want to have a nice breakfast on Sunday, this cafe is not the right address. read more

Worst service EVER. Visited the place this afternoon, the employees were more busy with smoking than take orders. We waited 40 minutes for our food and complained. A Young waitress with curly hair and a pretty face didn't know how to controll her behaviour and acted childly, asking "what is your fucking problem?" Even if a customer is acting stupid, NO waitress/waitor should ever behave like that. Truly unprofessional. read more
