For the most part clean and organized, but somehow, unlike Filene's, Loehmann's, Neiman's Last…read moreCall, or even sister store, Marshall's, TJ's always has this unsettling mess of chaos and foolishness on its shelves. Half-filched gift sets, missing caps/bows/buttons, vandalized price tags, self-made ''testers,'' etc. (Thank God they don't sell tampons.) In fairness, this happens at ALL TJX stores. TJ Maxx just brings out the creep in people. Who values materialism so much they act like a Mongol invader? Main Line class. This store has always had higher-end brands than other locations, but for that reason, it gets picked over, regularly. Nearby Lilly Pulitzer co. used to dump a lot of overstocks here, like back when they were cool. I've seen some pretty nice stuff, most recently a Givenchy cocktail jacket on clearance for $1500 (not really a bargain). Just posted pics of some Longchamp, Tods, and Dolce bags, there was a Celine one too, but I didn't take a pic b/c the handle was broken and IMO it should not have even been on the floor. As expected with couture-ier names, you won't see the most desirable colors or styles, but that's what you get when you discount shop. There is always plenty of Polo, Hilfiger, NorthFace, Coach, MK, and all those other logos-for-the-masses on the racks. TJ's puts the bougie "status" brands above all else, because that's what sells to the middle class. Case in point, where did Jon Gosselin buy his Ed Hardy? And who paid him to wear it? Because who watching him shops at TJX? IMO, the staff at this location is more professional than other stores. Broomall's staff has an every-customer-I-see-is-a-thug attitude. Wayne's staff is superior and aloof. To Aurian R, who had a bad experience, I am sorry for that. To help you feel a little better, IMO, snobbery on the Main Line doesn't necessarily have to do with the color of your skin. There may be a layer I am not aware of in your case, but most everyone gets a dose of snobbery on the Main Line. I do know, from all my trips here over many years, that there is a LOT of diversity at this store, both in clientele and personnel, and there always has been. Just look at the other Yelp reviewers below you, they come from all over, all creeds and colors, all walks of life.

While there were other employees already working the register, Nicholas specifically stepped in front of an African American employee in a way that felt unnecessary, intimidating, and deeply uncomfortable. He appeared to closely monitor and double-check transactions involving African American customers, as though he assumed wrongdoing or theft without cause. At one point, Nicholas even opened the cash register drawer while his coworker was actively ringing up items, seemingly to verify his work in a manner that came across as distrustful and humiliating. His actions created a tense and uncomfortable environment for both customers and staff. From what I witnessed Nicholas behavior felt targeted and racially motivated, making it seem as though he was unfairly scrutinizing his coworker because of his race. This kind of conduct is unacceptable in any workplace and reflets poorly on your business, I strongly encourage management to address this situation seriously, as no employee or customer should be made to feel discriminated against or uncomfortable because of racial bias.

The store itself is large - there are clearly divided areas for whatever you are looking for be it kitchenware or children's toys. That division comes at the cost of well...cleanliness. This place is a hot mess. Things are cluttered to say the least. Most items look like they have seen better days and there are a lot of damaged items. You may be able to get a damaged item for less but it can be different to persuade staff to let it happen. As for the staff and lines...well...I hope you don't have any plans when you go shopping here. There is usually only 1 cashier even during the rush and honestly, that cashier will just chit chat and ignore the line. No calls for help or anything. You would think you could at least stay entertained when you wait in line with the miscellanous items along the waiting line but nope. The shelves there are empty or have the leftovers from someone's cart.

The staff is friendly, the shelves well-stocked, the parking ample (though like most parking lots in Philadelphia, somewhat crazy the closer you get to the store.) No doubt Home Goods will be seeing a lot more of me!

This location fails to even meet the bare minimum for a national chain. guest.relations@target.com Target Customer Relations, On 11/9/23 visited your Devon Target store (Wayne, PA) to purchase an item that was said to be in stock online. The inventory was cleaned out, and it is your corporate policy to issue a raincheck. The staff said they had no idea what a raincheck was. They even said Target doesn't do rainchecks, and they said goodbye without helping at all. How does this 180-degree disconnect occur? That same night, I then called the store 610-263-4744 and spoke to Sandra. I explained that there is a whole web page about Target's raincheck policy, and the manager ought to know this, and they should have helped instead of wasting customer time and gas to visit their store to buy an item that was not in stock. She told me her manager, Billy, was busy and she took my name and number for him to call me back. It is now 4 days later and Billy never called back. No one in this store knows how to do their job, no one wants to work. No one actually does any work, and no one has any shame about being lazy, unproductive, untrained, and worthless to customers. There seem to be zero repercussions for this because this has been the Devon store standard for a couple years now. No one in store was willing to put forth any effort to help me. You've now wasted over 2 hours on live chats, store visits, calls to store, and writing this email. Getting a raincheck should never be this miserable. And I still don't have one! I'm sending you this feedback so you can hopefully take action to correct the attitude of your staff at the Wayne, PA store, which is a dump.

Anyway, I drove by today, as I do almost everyday and noticed that they plan to add a farmers market! Gullifty's is still there and the management is looking for more stores to occupy the place. I suggest a planet fitness, another apple store, candy store, and maybe a daycare place. Right now, it's not really rate- able, but I guess it's worth 2 stars mainly because its an empty ghost town, but not for long!! I miss the old borders though... I used to love studying there. It was so peaceful and there were so many things to look at. Maybe a coffee shop might work?

Joining them now is barre 3 fitness studio (need to try this asap!) and downstairs, my new favorite market: MOM's. Their store has it all: organic produce and meats, allergen-free options for everything from cheese and crackers to ice cream to healthy children's snacks and juices, and a HUGE selection of skincare products and vitamin supplements. They also offer free water to stay hydrated while you peruse their wide aisles or wait for your order from their Naked Lunch bar. I highly recommend the black bean burger....their juice bar is fantastic, also. Shopping here is truly eye-opening. And speaking of opening, I was excited to see the progress being made for the opening of the farmer's market. With vendors such as LeBus and Margaret Kuo's and Bella Olivia, among others, I am very eager for this part of the newly-renovated center to open. My routine stops to Rosemont Square for the pharmacy and the nail salon just got much more exciting!

That's how I found myself pulling into the parking lot here today with thoughts of treating myself to a cute new outfit dancing through my head. I was really, really hoping that my experience this time would be different. I was almost positive that last year's visit was a fluke. If K.M.'s review is to be believed, the employees are tired, overworked martyrs. And who knows; maybe they are. (In response to her comeback, I was in the store mid-day, not at closing. And I'm vigilant about hanging the clothes up and bringing them out of the dressing room when I'm done. You see, I'm not only a hard-core shopper, I'm also a former retail associate.) Was I greeted upon entering the store this year? NO. Did I come in around 2-2:30 on a Thursday afternoon? YES. Was the store busy? NO. Were three employees huddled together by the sweatpants/tee shirt displays? YES. Did they notice me when I walked right by them? NO. Did I try two dresses on anyway? YES. Did I have to wait, then call over to someone to let them know I wanted to do so? YES. Did they check on me, even though I was in the fitting room for about 10 minutes? NO. Did I put the dresses back on the hanger and bring them out when I was done? YES. Did I buy anything? HELL NO. I learned my lesson. I've got no more chances for South Moon Under.

Now, I was coming from work, so I was dressed professionally, not like some slob off the street. I gave them plenty of opportunities for them to at least say HELLO to me...I really should've walked out of there and said "Thanks so much for helping me out today!" Maybe they would've gotten a clue. P.S. They're stuff is way overpriced anyway. You can find stuff just as cute, if not cuter, at other stores. Gotta love the Main Line.
