The servers were very friendly. My husband and I are out of towners. We spent 2 nights here. Tonight we went for pizza. My husband decided to order chicken strips and fries. Both were over cooked. He said it was awful, the chicken, froes and "the worst ranch hes ever ha." I ordered a pizza. The sauce was good, but the pizza crust was hard and bland. It was much like eating cardboard. We stopped here before heading to the Grand Coulee Dam. This place is owned by an extended family's cousin...We ended up doing the special - pizza slice with side salad & pizza slice with breadsticks- all for a little over $6 a piece. The pizza was great - the sauce was flavor-able. The side salad was missing croutons but the waitress told me I could grab some from the salad bar. Service was quick. Not very many good restaurants in this area but I would recommend this place over any where else I ate when in the area... read more

Worst experience I've had. I spend money here every year. Me and my family come to visit. And somehow they learn how to top being worse every time. This time they gave us two of the wrong pizzas. Didn't apologize and made us return the two wrong pizzas that they gave us no refund no hospitality. The pizza is trash and so is the service eat here at your own risk! read more

Jennifer and Jessica go above and beyond expectations and even make it a point to call me back to make sure my order is correct if it's different than usual. Everything I've had on their menu is great and the food seems to be prepared as though I were making it for myself. I can't say much about the ambience - I generally call in a take out order every Tuesday around 3PM to pick up around 6PM, but it seems like there's a group of tables on one side, and maybe a party room on the other - I'm not sure about the party room but that's what it looks like by the volume of beverages that Jessica is always taking over to that side. As a regular, I have to say my pizza is always getting better, and if I don't remember a specific part of my order - say my extra marinara sauce cups - they're thoughtful enough to add it to my order anyway (to be fair, this would drive me crazy if I wasn't a regular here and they were just upselling me things that I didn't want to order, but that's not what's happening in this case) and they're thoughtful enough to always tell me when they have huckleberry shake sauce so I know when to get shakes with my order. If you're not sure what to order - start with "The Hot Stuff with ham" and tell them the guy in black sent you, I promise you'll enjoy it. read more

The pizza and calzones are top notch. Salads are large and well-presented. Spaghetti and meatballs turned out to be fettuccini and meatballs which one of my dining companions -a notoriously picky eater- sent back. That wouldn't have bothered me, but it was the consensus of the table that the type of noodle matters a lot. The dining room is like a hospital conference room. I can't stress that enough - if this was SF or Seattle it'd barely hit two stars but there's only one other place in town I'd consider after what all we've tried locally. The chicken wings, by the way, are awesome. You can taste the celery powder but they're amazing. All you can drink soda. The pizza is crispy crust, not to crunchy with ample toppings. I have always made Hometown Pizza my "go to" place" in Grand Coolee. I am always happy with the great pizza, calzones, and salads........EXCEPT, the last couple of times I have visited, the customer service has been UNACCEPTABLE!! I called in an order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I showed up at the 39 minute mark and it was STILL NOT READY. I waited an additional 20 minutes. The staff was not apologetic about the delay. I felt that customer service is not their top priority. I always leave a good tip and always refer my friends and family to Hometown Pizza....I will now give them gas money to make the drive to Spokane instead! Very disappointed!! read more

Came to see the Grand Coulee Dam laser show and had pizza and salad here. It is a thick crust pizza with lots of flavor and plenty of toppings. We would definitely stop here again when we are in the area. We enjoyed bbq chicken pizza, Hawaiian, and pepperoni. They have a small salad bar, but the dinner salads were very good! read more

1.5 stars. I've only been here once. I ordered take out while staying in town for business. I ordered a large pizza with chicken, pineapple and onions. $19, price not bad at all considering the options in Grand Coulee. Ok, pizza ranks among the worst I have ever eaten. The sauce tasted like really really sweet Sysco Foods sauce, but it was the chicken. I think it was chicken but to be honest I don't know what it really was. It could have been tuna, carp, or some strange bird I have never eaten before. Either way, no good. The crust was fair, even good. But the sauce and the "chicken"... No way. Service was ok, they were really busy at the time of pickup. I say skip it and try the Mexican place, at least it tasted like it's supposed to. Word. read more

Hometown has wonderful pizza, fresh ingredients help and some of the combinations are really great. My favorite is the #1 Sicillian - littered with tomato chunks and large meatballs it's delicious. Things they do well: Fast friendly service, they have two wings, one is more dark and quiet, the other side is brightly lit and more family oriented. Things that could be improved on ... the side salads are drab for the price, the pizza seems over priced for this area by $3 or so for a large and some newer furniture couldn't hurt. Surely some high school kid would love to deliver your pizza if you'd let them keep a nominal delivery charge of say $4 within town. read more

A+ for a roadside grinder/pizza sports dive! The grinders and pizza are fresh and fabulous (great sauce, great sausage, and the bread is fresh with a light crunch). The place looked ok on the outside when I entered the restaurant it became old and run down. It is not fancy at all, I waited so long just for two pizzas for my bros. There were Cobb webs in the corners and right next to my chair and spiders crawling near them. The pizza was greasy and way to cheesy. At the end the total cost for just two large pizzas pizzas was 58 DOLLARS!!. This place is a rip off, go if you want non fine dining and overpriced pizza with spiders. read more

Years ago, I used to go to this place when it was an A & W drive in. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries and coffee. The coffee was great and the waitress gave me a big go cup for the road. The fries was hot, crispy, and not greasy. The burger was good sized, piping hot, with crisp fresh veggies on it. This was my first and last visit in this place. The service is awkward and really poor. The food is ok, however the waitress didn't show any excitement or appreciation, also the waitress didn't warned about how hot the food was causing me to burn my mouth. The prices are definitely above average, regular burger with price is about $10 and small pizza is about $10 as well, but keep in mind if you want to add a toping or order pepperoni pizza you have to pay extra. read more

Very nice staff, and excellent customer service. But it's your basic pizza place. You could get the same quality of pizza from other local bars or restaurants. I wish they would expand their options a little with their crust, maybe offer the option for garlic seasoned, or stuffed, something to give them some variety rather than regular crust with your choice of pizza toppings. Maybe even expand their options for appetizer breadsticks. Awesome pizza with crazy fresh ingredients... again, walked in here cold and found myself unexpectedly floored. We talked to some locals who'd spent a few years in New York and they agreed: outrageously good, especially for the area. Speaking of which, their recommendations for Grand Coulee were of course the dam itself (if possible, late enough to see the laser show) and the visitor center, which showcases turbines more than twice as big as Hoover Dam's. There's some serious tourism/engineering rivalry here, and at least for the nerds, Grand Coulee is totally worth a stop. read more

So the food might have been good. I will never know though because after waiting 30min for my order the waitress informed us the they had forgotten to start cooking our pizza! They told us they would just cancel the order, but we were supper hungry and opted to get it to go. The calzones my friends ate were good but the waitresses forgot which one was which, and the costumers had to eat half through them to get it figured out. The service only includes taking orders, all drinks are self serve, but they still add a gratuity for parties over 6. Hometown Pizza has great chef salads! I have a gluten intolerance so I have never tried the pizza, but I know I will enjoy a great salad here when my friends or husband want to go out for pizza. They serve up a large dinner plate-size salad overflowing with fresh greens and plenty of extras like egg and turkey. Definitely give it a try with the honey mustard dressing. we got a vegetarian pizza which was alright the crust was very crispy (crispier than I like) and it was weird to see Fresh tomatoes put on top of the cheese instead underneath the cheese!
