I emailed the Mirrors 4 cars at about 5.30 to get a quote for replacing the mirrors so we could drive the cars. Within 10 minutes I had an email back with a detailed quote, then Helen rang a few minutes later and organised an appointment the next morning. On time, efficient, friendly, and very reasonable prices. This is a small owner-operator business and you can really tell, as the personalized service is above and beyond. I went to do an inspection in my car, and they were…read morelate, I waited because I was 10 min late, so I waited 10 more minutes, after that I started asking about what time would be the service, then they said that they wouldn't have time to do everything and they wouldn't charge, but of course, I paid the total price, for a half service. Then I tried to contact them, asking if possible to finish checking what they didn't have time to do in the last service, and I haven't got any answer from them. Also, they were also charging 1600 dollars to change the timing belt with the water pump, wichich is ridiculous. Also, I asked how much would be the labour for installing a new "start motor", which was a price 2 times more than the fair price of a service.

I also had issues at other mechanics as some didn't fix things properly, resulting in more problems soon after, but going to Gringo always resolved everything for the long term. I also love how they let me know about things that will need doing in advance with quotes, so I can prepare myself for expenses to come. They also show me the issues so I can better understand my car and what they do. They are the best!

Daniel: Well, there is a basic service costing $xx and a major service costing $xxx Me: Can I just put the car in and you tell me what needs doing and you tell me how much it will cost before you do it? Daniel: Sure. To my absolute surprise, he came back with the cheapest of the 3 quotes. He could have told me that I needed a major service, and I probably would have believed him, but he was honest. The price for services was also the cheapest I have seen on the Gold Coast. I have now been taking my cars to Anything Mechanical now for nearly 2 years, and am so happy with them that I couldn't speak highly enough of Belinda, Daniel and Steve! Great people, who are honest and know what they are doing. Phil comes to your work or home and services your car so you don't have to worry about dropping it off by a certain time or having to take time off work. He is very well priced and does great work. I find it very hard to find good mechanics on the Coast that wont charge you and arm and leg. I recomend Phil to all of my friends and family.
