They're super soft and delicious and served as a side with most classic breakfast options- we choose to come here for breakfast when we really have a taste for pancakes! We went back for brunch on Sunday and loved the food again!!! Our waitress was very sweet and made our brunch enjoyable. There was a little wait for around 10 mins and we were seated promptly. I got the 3 egg scramble with fruit and got a side of pancakes. We got the pancakes upgraded to blueberry bliss pancakes. These are hands down the best pancakes we've had!!! This restaurant was fine. It's just that not anything on the menu stood out as creative or above average. I had the potato pancakes. They weren't overly greasy, but I personally would have preferred them pan fried as opposed to deep fried. Also it would have been nice if they had onion or something besides potatoes. I started with an array from the sides menu: cherry wood smoked bacon, hash browns and cheese grits. The bacon was the star of this show: sweetly smoky, rich and crisp. The cheese in the grits wasn't really detectible but I amped up the flavor with some tableside Cholula hot sauce. The server was attentive and friendly. Not the best food I've had... but I didn't get their brunch food. I came here probably over 8 years ago, but I don't remember how the food was back then. Anyways, I got the Elote Burger. I decided I was going to troll myself and order something that has flaming hot cheetos on it. The burger looked and tasted like something out of a dining hall. The patty was dry and sad, just like a Sodexho patty. There were maybe 5 or 6 flaming hot cheetos. The bread was pretty good! I will say the fries were also very crispy. So it wasn't all bad. But neither is dining hall food. So... my verdict stands that their burgers are pretty much dorm food. This is corroborated by my girlfriend's Hawaiian chicken sandwich containing extremely dry meat and a sad-looking pineapple. I can't believe this was my first time at this restaurant. I've always passed by this place and finally got the chance to check it out. I didn't realize how big the inside would be. Our server never checked on us after he originally took out order. We had to ask for napkins twice. We weren't served the sauce that was supposed to come with our sandwich. We had to ask a different server for a coffee refill. The Malibu chicken was as hard and dry as a hockey puck. The tater tots were bland. The panini bread was hard. The food overall was just bad. When the food arrived the omelette was missing one ingredient and potatoes were under cooked and not well done. Sent it back for a redo. I don't know if this was the worst breakfast I ever had but it was just disappointing and irritating! I try to eat a simple breakfast with ingredients I may not want to fix at home nor have. I've always liked Honey Jam for two reasons: good coffee and these fat link sausages. So I ordered soft scrambled eggs, grits, link sausages and a biscuit. The biscuit didn't disappoint! But lumpy grits are such a turn off, and soft scrambled eggs doesn't mean half raw with uncooked egg running across the plate. By the time the waiter checked with me I'd eaten a whole link and half the biscuit... I pulled lumps out the size of a tablespoon and couldn't eat the eggs. It's all well and good to offer a fresh plate but now the thrill is gone, I'm half full and that pot of grits you're working with still has lumps. So back comes the plate with a fresh bowl of lumpy grits and over cooked eggs... by now I've eaten the rest of the biscuit, half a sausage (there were three) and I'm not feeling this breakfast. I asked for the check and since you pay at the table with a credit card I didn't take out my frustration on the waiter and selected an 18% tip... the continue button would not respond and the waiter said, "no tip?" I pointed to 18% but evidently I didn't press hard enough. This further irritated me cause with 1 & 1/2 fat sausage links, a bowl of grits and scrambled eggs he never offered me a box to take it home... not that I wanted to but come on... and challenging me on the tip? I tip many times cause of the nature of their job and the fact that I want to come back etc... I don't know what to say... next time I may have to stick to biscuits and coffee! read more

Shortly after another woman brought us our coffees and asked if we were ready. Hmm... I asked if she was our waitress now. She said yes the other girl was leaving. Odd, but okay.
