They rush, they aggressively worked on my cuticles on a Sunday when the salon was empty. They talk y themselves the whole time so so much for a spa quiet quality time. They charge $40 for a 20 minute pedicure and that's why it's empty. Not going back. read more

Everyone who has ever helped me here has been so friendly and nice. It's a relaxing environment and you can watch the people pass by on the street which I enjoy. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!! My manicurist didn't even soak my fingers in acetone soaked cotton and wrap them in foil. Instead, she made me soak my fingers in a bowl of acetone, which dried out my skin. Next, she glued an oversized acrylic nail on my pointer finger. When she started speed filing my nails she pressed this large plastic nail into the side of my pointer finger. It was bleeding, and she told me to clot it myself while she kept working on my other hand. Then she used the shaving tool, and cut the top of middle finger/cuticle in two places (see pictures below). When she was done she still had the audacity to charge me. In short, avoid this scrappy and rushed nail salon. Everything I had here amounted to a frustrating and sub-par experience. I came here a week or so ago as my normal place is closed on Sundays. I made an appointment for mani/pedi for 1:30pm well in advance, and showed up at 1:20 to be safe. My feet were immediately stuck into a vat of tepid water where I proceeded to wait 35 minutes for them to start on me. They were either understaffed or just had no idea of what it meant to honor an appointment. Meanwhile, while waiting, the water cooled from tepid to flat out cold. Once they started, they were extreeeeemely rushed. My pedicurist did an ok job, hence the two stars instead of one, but my manicurist was rushed, rude, and sloppy. She filed my nails in a super harsh and square way - once I realized what she was doing, I asked if they could be round instead. She then gave a sight eye roll along with a half-hearted file on some of the corners and proceeded to make the other nails consistently square. After the manicure was finished, there was polish left on the tips of nearly all my fingers that I had to prompt her to remove. I also had tons of dry cuticles left that she did not even attempt to remove. There was also a portion of the manicure in which she placed a scalding hot towel around my hands; this was nowhere near tolerable on my left hand at least and I immediately had to unwrap it. To add insult to injury, before my nails were dry they asked me to move to this awkward tiny rolling chair in the corner "because people are waiting and we need your chair". Right. Awesome. I just left instead rather than sitting in the shop's time-our chair. The massage portion of both the pedicure and manicure was weak and short as well. Massage chair backing for the salon chairs was the sole pleasant portion of the experience. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Bleh; I look back and regret giving them my business on so many levels. read more

The women who work here are so awesome! I stumbled across this place while waiting with my two year old for the Urgent Care across California Boulevard, because Elijah, three weeks earlier, had mangled his thumbnail in a wheelbarrow accident. The nail was black and falling off, but still bleeding where it was attached. At daycare he'd gotten a bunch of sand trapped under the old nail, and the teacher called me and recommended I take him to urgent care, as it was impossible to clean. Well, the wait was long and the day was hot. So after walking around for more than an hour, waiting for a call from urgent care, I stopped in at Honey Nail Spa to see if they might lend me the use of some sharp scissors. They did more than that. They took a long, sharp, sterile nail clipper and got rid of the entire old nail. They didn't charge us anything, even though Elijah bled on their towel and was screaming while people were trying to enjoy their pedicures. They even sent us off with a bag of chips, which stopped Elijah's crying. The woman who helped us was so patient, kind, and resourceful. So I strongly recommend supporting this business. I don't have any experience with their normal services, but I know the people who work here have good hearts and know how to do very small, precise work on nails, even under stressful conditions, such as a toddler screaming and writhing. read more

I've been searching for a new place to get a pedicure since my last place changed owners and went down hill. I've tried to get in here a few times but they were always too busy for a walk-ins. Today I was able to walk in. I was impressed with the facility as well as my manicurist. "Lannie" did a great job. They also have a salt (sugar?) treatment and I got the 15 minute foot massage (I appreciate the timer!) I was very pleased with the service. Only negative was a bit of a language barrier. Been going here for years but had the worst experience during my last visit and it will sure be the last. Apart from a long wait of over 40 min despite having an appointment, one of the manicurists whom I had an appointment with was very rude. When I tried to check on how much longer I had to wait, she was annoyed and even threatened to just leave and go home and not fulfill her appointment with me. She was very rude and unprofessional and even raised her voice towards me. Long story short, she apparently made a mistake and put my name down for an earlier appointment time and assumed I was late instead of being early. Good thing I had the confirmation in text message. This is all the more not enough reason to be extremely rude to clients esp for those who has been going here for a while now. I will never go back here again. read more

4 .5 stars. Clean, airy, open, bright, did NOT smell of chemicals (a pet peeve of mine) and very very nice service. Good selection of nail polish. They had gel, regular, and the in-between kind that lasts longer than regular (and it really does) but no UV light or anything like that. I am always indecisive when it comes to color and they were very helpful with suggestions. My nails are super short right now and they somehow made my hands and toes look great. They clean the pedicure tub out with a new liner and were very thorough in making sure I was happy with my end result. Would absolutely recommend. Only suggestions is if you're set on a particular color, maybe bring your own if you have it. Their selection was good, not great, but I easily found several colors I love. And no matter how you slice it, a massage chair makes everything better! read more

I walked in last week without an appointment to see if I could get a pedicure. They fit me right in! As I sat down and my pedicure started, I asked if I could also have my nails done, as I had a special occasion coming up in a few days and impulsively decided to treat myself. They did my nails at the same time as my toes! I believe her name was Christine (eeek I hope that was right!) - she did my nails and they are GORGEOUS. I wanted a little length, almond shaped, and natural - they are better than I could have imagined. She did acrylic nails but very thin with a natural gel polish on top. Great place to get your nails done. I got gel nail manicure by Karen. She is a perfectionist and will make sure everything is on point. She even does designs. Ask her for sample box of different designs she created. Or show her the design you chose on pinterest and she will make it exactly the same! They dont only do nails. They do massages with your nail treatment too! So relaxing here, unlike the other salons. Where they are talking loudly in vietnamese. When you get a deluxe spa pedicure. You will surely fall asleep. They also do waxing for brows,upperlip,bikini, etc. So it's a one shop stop here! Very clean place. They dont reuse their equipment and their spa chairs come with plastic liners that they use one time per customer to prevent contamination from others. Very busy here so I would recommend making an appointment first. But if you happen the walk in and you have to wait.. theres a shopping mall and plenty of restaurants nearby to kill time. I had the pleasure of encountering with all the ladies here and I would recommend Mai, Lannie,Ivy, Amy,Linda, and Christine (she does acrylic nails) They all do great job! read more

Not too happy with this place... I got a pedicure a couple weeks ago and that was.... OK.... But then I went back just 5 days ago to get an acrylic white tip full set, and let's just say... Not satisfied whatsoever. The lady kept trying to up sell me and I finally said okay to get the gel over the top, but it actually made it worse. Went in for a gel manicure yesterday. Worst decision ever. My manicurist gave me a bumpy gel set and claimed it was my nails not her technique. She over-cut my cuticles and today I noticed a bunch of little bubbles in my nails. I didn't have the energy to argue as I'd just gotten off work. But it left such a bad taste in my mouth. Terrible customer service. Buyer BEWARE. After the service my manicurist tried to make me feel bad for not giving a "cash tip" because all I had on me was my debí card. Lannie did my manicure with gel. She was sweet, fast, and did a great job. I'm glad I came here. My skin was sooo dry and she suggested the hot wax. I am so glad I did it, but just FYI remove any rings. It was a bit challenging to remove all the wax from my ring but Lannie made sure it was all removed. My ring does look a more shinny though :). I was out for lunch with my good friends when we decided to stop in and get our nails done. I don't live in Pasadena anymore, so I was surprised to learn my former favorite spots were gone. So we popped in here. Long story short, I was not impressed. A week after getting my nails done, they've all begun to break. The spa pedicure did feel nice and the chair's massage was good. The flowers they painted were meh. The polish has lasted a week so far. But the nails themselves are too thin and are breaking. My nails almost never break but these have all broken within the week. It took a lot of work to get them to shape them correctly (as in not completely askew and angled funny.) I just don't think they're very good at their job here. Too bad. I'm just going to keep going to my guy in Orange County instead of trying out new spots when I'm up in the area... read more

I was very disappointed and insulted by the service here. I was told that I would be charged a certain amount for waxing services. Right before they were about to start waxing an employee went out, brought another employee in and raised the price of my services. This was when I was in a vulnerable position on the waxing table. I asked them to honor the original price and they said that they don't "bargain." I thought this was interesting since they randomly raised the price a minute before beginning the waxing. I would not come here again. I had already told them I was going to spend over 150 dollars on waxing and nail services. This business needs to learn how to honor the prices they originally quote. I have only been here once with a friend after she recommended this place (I actually just came back and am writing this while sitting on their chair so too soon to comment on current service quality). We called half an hour before we showed up together and came in an hour before they closed so the place was mostly empty. She got a regular polish mani-pedi and I got a regular pedi. Service was friendly and they took their time which I like. It's clean. Their massage chairs feel nice. And the place doesn't stink of chemicals like most nail salons! But the MOST important thing for me is durability. And here is where this place stands out. My friend told me her mani lasted two weeks which is impressive! But get this ladies of Yelp, in the attached photo you can see my regular pedi (NOT gel!) after 1 month and 22 days! As you can see, it has not chipped at all even though I did of course trim my nails in this time! True, I am not rough on my feet but still! The only reason I need a new one is because my nails have grown out hence I am back here. I was kind of curious how long it would actually last left on its own but since tonight is new years eve I wanted to look nice and get a fresh one for the new year. Showed up with legs unshaven, paid for extra scrubs + massages, because this is manual labour and women need to make money. I don't understand the complaints about tip, as it reeks of privilege. Tipping $2 for an hour of bending forward and cleaning one's feet, that's insulting. Tip $5 minimum, be gracious and kind, say thank you and don't be rude. If you're a great customer, you'll get great customer service: nobody owes you kindness when you're being unkind yourself. This is my go-to place! I've been going for almost three years now. Everyone does a great job with my mani pedis and are very efficient but not rushed. My gels always last forever and regular polish on my toes is also very durable. Nice color selections and very clean stations! During covid they are very serious about mask wearing, cleaning between clients, and using clean tools each time! Stations are only used every other one so that there's more distance between chairs, and they also use plastic sneeze guards. Love y'all at Honey Nails!! read more
