Incidentally, the 'Naked' part of their name relates to the food ethos of serving up clean, organic, health-concious food, and not the dress code... A nice setting but do have to agree with the previous review, they would benefit from having larger premises as we were fortunate to get the last remaining table for brunch - I guess this indicates the place is popular - but it did feel slightly cramped. The table next to ours was tucked into a window space next to the door which meant people had to squeeze past my chair to get in/out and also for the waitress to bring their order. Not a major problem, but still slightly distracting when you're trying to eat. Very pleasant service from the people behind the counter, the breakfast menu was particularly tempting... but we arrived just after 11:30am when they switch to the day menu! So an all-day breakfast offering wouldn't go amiss in my gluttonous opinion. One other customer was tucking into a couple of pancakes, they did look pretty darn amazing, so next time I manage to go back I think I know what I'll be after first. Our food was fresh and rather good. I went for the beef meatballs with corgetti (courgette made into spaghetti, a new one for me!) and my friend had the sweet potato frittata. Both came promptly, but for the price I would've liked a little bit more 'stuff'; my friend's frittata came with a couple of asparagus spears and a bit of salad, the plate looked a little sparse. Having said that, we both cleared up our food with no complaints. Will be back at some point, although I do want to try out other brunch places on offer in Heaton too - but the Naked Deli has set the bar pretty high.

This shop is very good because when buying food, you can weigh out exactly how much you want so you get no more and no less then you want - get exactly what you pay for. Another positive aspect of the 'serve yourself' is that you can pick the types of sweets you like for example if they are in a mixed tub.

It's always been a favourite of mine.They offer a wide range of health supplements and whole foods and alternative remedies.Although the prices are sometimes a bit higher than some of thier competitors(Holland and Barrett ect) the goods on offer are of high quality. The one thing they can offer that Holland and Barrett don't is a cafe and vegetarian snack food.If you want main meals don't go too late though as the food is good and has it's regulars.It's very well priced too,so why not give it a try.

They have an excellent selection of healthy and not-so-healthy foods and drinks, including a good stock of fairly traded items (such as Traidcraft cereal, loo roll, etc.). The staff are always friendly and very helpful - although I've never had to ask anything they have an extensive stock of herbal remedies and seem to cater for any ailment you might have. The staff are very knowledgeable and can advise on what might be the best remedy. The prices are reasonable; it's a real treasure trove of healthy goodies.

Numerous award winning butchers that offer prime cuts of meat, fantastic mince and healthy plump chickens and eggs! Wonderful bakery that makes the best breads and pastry I have tried. Wonderful vegetables and fruit stands where you get can a serious deal on great vegetables. Cheapest and most authentic pick and mix selection I have ever seen Fish monger, show repair, tea shop, cafes, clothing and boot sale, cd shops, home repair, clothing alterations ... Even a room with a scale in it! Grainger Market is magical. A must see, I consider the market a tourist attraction because of how traditional it is.
