First time coming to this cute little establishment. Thane was our server. And he did his diligence after we showed up right after the kitchen closed. NOTE: Food stops at 9:45. He made good drink recommendations based on specifics. It was my birthday and the hug he gave me was AMAZING! The beautiful leather bound menu had 46 pages, yes I said 46, of mixed drinks, wine and spirits. We had two appetizers, which were absolutely delicious. The drinks were good. Note : the pollinator is really smokey There was a little bit of a wait to get in and 90 minute cap to stay. Super cute concept. They picked the perfect doorman Will definitely recommend to others.
3.5/4 The decor is lovely. The staff were attentive and friendly. I didn't order any food however I hope in the future they will offer more food options that complement whiskey. The overall vibe of the place is nice because I love a good lounge but it was just too noisy for me that I really couldn't hear my friends too well. I would come back to give them another chance because their whiskey selection was amazing and the Paper Plane was delicious!
Came here with two friends yesterday. We arrived at 5pm, which is when they open. We had the choice of sitting at the bar or at a table. We opted for the table. The inside is dimly lit and decorated elegantly. I liked the inclusion of honeycombs in the lighting fixtures and even the ice in my drink. The darks and golds almost give Great Gatsby vibes. We all ordered a different cocktail from their signature menu. I got the Electric Nectar. The drink was a little tart and sour. The Buzzed & Bougie was very floral, and The Cusco Comb had a nice balance of flavors. Out of the 3, the Electric Nectar was probably the strongest in terms of tasting the alcohol. I don't particularly prefer sour drinks. If I were to re-order, I would get the Cusco Comb, as it fits my taste profile the most. We also ordered the Burrata to share. It came with 6 pieces of toast, which was perfect and divided evenly among the 3 of us. The burrata was delicious. The cherry gastrique added a nice touch of sweetness without being overly sweet. As time progressed, more and more people came in. By the time we left, the lounge was pretty filled.

Beautiful lounge and speakeasy! Password changes check social media we went on Instagram. Thankfully we went on a Saturday night no line at the time and was able to get right in. The door opens automatically and immediately a hostess directs you to a table or to the bar or cocktail standing table. We opted to be at the bar beautiful lit bar countertops. Enjoyed a great date night. Our bartender recommend the popular picks of Honeycomb after dark and nectar no.9. If you're looking for a dessert style cocktail or enjoy an espresso martini this is your drink made with cold brew. Ice cream was divined tasted like alcohol but no alcohol in the ice cream. Tasted the coffee flavor and it was so bold in flavor enjoyed it very much. The Nectar no.9 tasted like orange dreamcicle or the ice cream push pop. Tasted deliciously sweet if you like those flavors. Definitely come by to check out this place. Only one bathroom but it was beautiful.
I'm giving this place a one star they have no ADA accommodations. The bar manager is very rude and disrespectful. I don't very disrespectful. I don't expect anybody to come to this place. Very rude it's not worth it at all
So, this place is really cute! I'm not a super big fan of waiting in a long line to get in, which is partly why I didn't rate it 5 stars. My husband also didn't really love his drink. I tried it and it was not my favorite, either. He actually didnt even drink it all. My drink was good, but not great considering having to wait so long, etc. I'd probably come back if there wasn't a wait, but honestly there are so many great places in livermore with phenomenal craft cocktails that they would probably peak my interest more.

Quite loud inside with talking and loud music but still a fun and unique vibe for a cocktail bar in downtown. I got the Electric Nectar and my friend had the Buzzed and Bougie. Mine was quite sour in the beginning but the flavors mellowed out quickly and I got to see the cool design on their ice.

Here's what we tried: Cusco Comb (1000/10): Absolutely one of the best cocktails I've ever had. It was sweet, strong, and incredibly smooth without the alcohol being overpowering. I loved it so much that I immediately ordered a second one. I would honestly come back just for this drink alone. Honeycomb After Dark (9/10): Such a fun twist on an espresso martini! It reminded me of a Vietnamese coffee with a boozy kick. As the ice cream melted, the drink became even creamier and more delicious. Gin & Tonic (6/10): I'm not personally a gin and tonic fan, but my sister really enjoyed it. She thought the ratio of gin to tonic was spot on. Fries (6/10): Super crispy with a great texture, but they were a little too salty for my taste. The only downside is that there's only one bathroom, so keep that in mind if it's busy. If you're looking for a great spot to grab drinks in downtown, I highly recommend this speakeasy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the cocktails are outstanding, and the service is consistently excellent. I'd probably skip the food next time and eat somewhere else beforehand, then come here to enjoy the amazing drinks.
I enjoyed my first visit to Honeycomb Cocktail Lounge! We arrived a little after 8pm on Friday night and were able to be seated right away. When we left around 9:30pm there was a small line. The cocktails here are pricier but I would come back for special occasions or when we have visitors. They had signature drinks but also a limited specials menu. The specials included a drink with Thai flavors (galangal, coconut, kefir lime leaf, Thai chili, butterfly leaf tea, etc) and it was so good! I hope they keep this drink on the menu and I'm excited to see what new craft cocktails they come up with. Overall a fun experience to add to your night out in Downtown Livermore!
Honeycomb was a great experience, really a lot of fun! I recommend the Nectar No. 9, The Royal Bloom (candy bag makes it fun), and the Honeycomb After Dark drinks.
I would say this place has some vibe and makes a strong first impression the moment you walk in. The mirrored entrance room is really unique, and once inside, the place feels stylish and cozy, though the lounge area does get a bit tight, especially on a busy Friday night. The bar itself is beautiful with the lit-up marble top that really stands out, and the spacious unisex bathroom was a nice surprise. The holiday atmosphere was a big plus. The giant, glowing Christmas tree in the middle of the lounge and Christmas carols playing in the background made the whole place feel warm and festive. Food-wise, the chicharrones were very well! seasoned and are a must-try, especially paired with the guac. The smoked old fashioned lived up to its name and was extremely smoky, which will appeal to anyone who enjoys bold, heavy smoke flavors. The only downside was the service. Even though it was busy, the attention lagged, and we ended up waiting over 20 minutes for our drinks, which took away from the experience. Oh, and make sure to validate the open hours and get that password on the Instagram before you get in. Overall, it's a stylish and festive spot for cocktails with a great atmosphere, but quicker service would make it an easy five stars.
We finally got over here to try this place out. Needless to say we were not disappointed. The service was great starting with the greeter at the entrance to the bartender and waiter. The waiters are also bartenders which is great because they can recommend drinks based on your preferences. The cocktails were on point as you would expect from this sort of establishment. The decor is pretty good too. It's quiet and they put effort into the artwork and the bar area. I highly recommend getting there close to opening if you go on a weekend otherwise you are in for a substantial wait, otherwise try a weekday. We had a really good time here and would come back again.

Shh, it's a speakeasy! Follow their instagram to know the secret password. I suggest getting there early or you may not make it in. A line does build up. They have someone out side to let you in and once you're in you have a dedicated server. The service is good, especially with them being so busy. The inside is beautifully decorated. It is a bit loud for a speakeasy tbh but it was still enjoyable. Drinks are themed and decorated nicely. They aren't just good looking, they taste just as good! Definitely worth a visit! I had always been aware of Honeycomb but assumed it was exclusively a venue for private events. Then I came across a TikTok post announcing that it had opened to the public as a speakeasy, so we decided to visit on a Thursday at 5:00 p.m., right when they opened. The experience begins in a small glass-enclosed entryway where you're greeted before the hostess is notified by radio. Moments later, the glass door opens, revealing a beautifully designed speakeasy with an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The space offers comfortably spaced bar seating, cozy booths, and tables, all surrounded by tasteful décor that perfectly captures the speakeasy era while incorporating subtle honeycomb-inspired touches. The spirit selection is impressive, and the appetizer menu is thoughtfully curated. Their specialty cocktails are creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. We sat at the bar, where our mixologist, Kalika B, was both personable and professional. I always enjoy sitting at the bar when the bartender is willing to share their craft, and Kalika did exactly that. She explained the story behind several of their custom cocktails, the history of some of their spirits, their signature custom ice program, and offered excellent appetizer recommendations. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. The entire space was spotless and clearly designed with great attention to detail. It filled up quickly after opening, so I was glad we arrived when we did. Despite the growing crowd, there appeared to be plenty of staff, and the service remained attentive without ever making guests feel rushed. There is only one restroom, but during our visit it was never an issue, and there was no wait. I've been chasing speakeasies for more than 20 years, long before they became as popular as they are today. Whenever I travel, I make it a point to seek out a local speakeasy, so I've experienced quite a few over the years. Honeycomb ranks near the top of my list. It's the perfect size--not too small and not too large--with an outstanding selection of spirits, exceptional craft mocktails, knowledgeable mixologists who truly know their craft, and cocktails tailored to your palate. The atmosphere is elegant yet approachable, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the experience. The Honeycomb Speakeasy in Livermore is truly a destination-worthy cocktail experience. Came here with some friends a couple weeks ago and had a great time. Some drinks we ordered were the hive mind, roya jelly no. 5, queens elixir, honeycomb's favorite gin and tonic, beeswax old fashioned, and white negroni. We loved all of our drinks!! I really loved my gin and tonic and the sweet sting. Interior was classy and dark. Love the booth seating. Ive been to couple of speakeasies before and this place was pretty loud in comparison. Would love it to be more quieter and more bathrooms! Next time I would love to try some of the snacks read more

New speakeasy in downtown Livermore! I had a great time so buckle up, I got a lot to say friends. I know speakeasy's are meant to be secret but I'm spilling the beans for y'all. They're located in the alleyway between The Holiday store and Locanda Wine Bar. We came for date night on a Friday evening around 8:00pm and there were two parties ahead of us in line. We waited about 10 minutes and at the front, the bouncer asked us for the password (hint...follow their Instagram!) and we entered a little alcove where a hidden door opened. We were seated at a cute table, though I will note that when they're at max capacity, you won't have a choice of table as they have two standing tables for parties of 4 or less. They have bar seating and cozy booths too! I don't believe they take reservations at the moment since they recently opened, but I will hop on that so fast once it's active. I loooooove themed bars and Honeycomb Cocktail Lounge was a dream. It is so thoughtfully decorated as a homage to honeycomb! The light fixtures that look like dripping beeswax, honeycomb pattern lamps, hexagon shaped shelves...there's some variation of honey in the cocktails too! I even noticed the orange peel in my husband's old fashioned was cut out into a hexagon...I was so giddy can't you tell with all my pictures of his smoky drink :P The menu is a book!! Like wow, 46 pages (at least). If you're a fan of tasting different or hard to find alcohol, this is your spot. Our waiter (Zac? So sorry I am truly hard of hearing) was swift in recommending his favorite cocktails. For bourbon, his top choice was Boulevardier so we'll try that next time! For their signature drinks, he recommended Roya Jelly No.5 and Queen's Elixir, Sweet Sting for Mezcal lovers (also digging these themed drink names). I personally think the Hive Mind is out to get you with the Baijiu but maybe one day I'll be curious enough...lol Roya Jelly No.5 ($18): The melon is strong in this one and I loved it! I tasted the pineapple and honey too. Really had to resist chugging it. And the best surprise of all, it came with a stainless steel straw!!! Not a paper one that will melt in 30 seconds!!! Gosh the things we get excited for these days but this truly made my day hahaha Beeswax Old Fashioned ($20): This drink came with the option to add smoke! It was so cool and I wish I had ample lighting to take a video because I was mesmerized. The drink itself was very strong but silky smooth with a hint of smoke, of course. It had bee pollen in it, which I didn't know was edible! Price wise the drinks are definitely a treat, but I see it as the experience is included. You don't often find these ingredients in typical cocktails (I think) so this is some fancy curating and bartending. You can tell each drink recipe was thoughtfully taste tested. The only thing missing is a live jazz band...if this happens I will positively freak out and come all the time. read more

The vibe here is great! The signature cocktail drinks are so yummy as well! I had my 35th birthday there and we all had such a good time. It was a private event and I worked with Zak on all the details. All of the guests raved about how delicious the food was. They loved the vibe and ambience. It was so cutely decorated during Christmas time. The bartenders did a great job serving the guests drinks in a timely manner. Zak did a great job helping deliver on the night of the event. I have also gone when it was open to the public and had a great time! read more
I wish I would have known about this place sooner!!! Intimate speakeasy in DT Livermore. Don't go without knowing the password, because you won't get in. Mine to get in can be long, however, it moves quickly. There are heaters outside to keep you warm while you wait. Once the mirrored door opens you enter a magical place where you can hang your coats. The service is outstanding and the drinks were very reasonable looking forward to taking more friends there. read more

It's a vibe! First time here and got the password to enter through their Instagram page. Make sure to check their Instagram for their hours as they do change. Very refreshing to find an actual speakeasy. We must've came at the right time as there was only one group ahead of us cause by the time we left there was a large line to get in. The guy at the front door was so extremely nice. I wish he was our waiter. He would've made our whole experience and would've made this a five star review however that was one of the only problems with our visit was our waitress., she seemed like she couldn't be bothered with us. Drinks are on the pricier side being about $18-$25 a drink. So it's definitely not a place you go to drink all night but worth having a single drink or two we also had some fries and I have to say they were very good although it did take about 15-20 minutes to get them but then again I would come back at least to start the night with a drink. A truly special evening finding a truly hidden gem in downtown Livermore. The experience as inspired by an Instagram password allowing entrance into a secret unassuming doorway in an alley between buzzing establishments on First Street. There was a queue on Saturday night but the wait was reasonable and well worth it. The service was exceptionally attentive throughout thecevening and the decor was stunning. Cocktails were just beautiful and were expertly crafted. We will definitely be back for another memorable experience and next time to try the food! read more

I love speak easys and am so happy to see more and more of them coming to the Bay Area! Honeycomb is unmarked but is on the side of the store Holiday. There is a doorman and you have to know the password to get in which changes frequently. You can check their Instagram to find out what the current password is before you go. The dimly lit room gives all the vibes and the place is packed starting on Thursdays. I went on a Tuesday which allowed me to see the place and not having to worry about it being over crowded. They offer delicious small bites so if you're looking for a meal I suggest you eat before hand and make this your after spot. I enjoyed tapas and some of the most delicious cocktails I've ever had! Ask for the purple drink with chili oil; you won't be disappointed. I loved all the small details like monogrammed ice cubes. We racked up a $800 bill but we were in great company, great drinks, and great food so totally worth it. I'm not sure if they have music on the weekend but if they do then it would be perfect! Our waitress was sweet, attentive, and really connected with our table. If you're looking for a nice lounge look no further; this is it! read more
I was able to finally experience this little hideaway gem last Thursday evening. Tucked away, literally in Downtown Livermore. When I say that this place meets the swanky, yet intimate ambience, it truly does. I love how you have to use a secret word for entry by the way go on their website to obtain said secret word. I love how it's intimately set up, but it has so many pieces of art throughout. You have to really take in the place once you're settled in. The drinks let's talk about the drinks how they did not disappoint whatsoever. you think it's a small drink, but you're truly tipping into infinity. The service was impeccable, next time I venture to this establishment I'll make sure I come early enough to partake in their small bites that they do have on their menu. This is definitely a place that will have a lasting impression in a great way. It is great for date night, it's great for ladies night, it's great for if you just wanna go by yourself as well. read more

I wanted to update and rate my experience for the second time I went. I went on a Thursday and got the experience I expected. The music was turned down, the waiters were informative and playful, and even with the kitchen closed we were given nuts (after food serving hours and cold- but with an explanation of why they stop serving at a specific time.) I was a lot happier with this experience and I understand weekends are more "happening," but I stand by first review that the over bearing music killed that experience. We rushed out so quickly last time.. this time we lingered, chatted, even had second drinks. Not to mention, we almost avoided dropping in because we didn't want to deal with the music, but one person in our group had never been... so, I'm glad we re-visited. read more
Lucky enough to be able to come here for a private event! Currently only open for private events and part of the Sons of Liberty Alehouse family. Beautiful ambiance and decor. Great servers. Drinks: spicy grapefruit margarita was on point for me! Food spread was amazing: deviled eggs, sliders, charcuterie, mac cheese, chicken skewers, and so much more. Everything tasted incredible!
