Decently crowded on a Friday evening after dinner but we were able to get seated at a table by the time our drinks came. This place is attached to Sons of Liberty. Check out insta for the password. Quite loud inside with talking and loud music but still a fun and unique vibe for a cocktail bar in downtown. I got the Electric Nectar and my friend had the Buzzed and Bougie. Mine was quite sour in the beginning but the flavors mellowed out quickly and I got to see the cool design on their ice.

So, this place is really cute! I'm not a super big fan of waiting in a long line to get in, which is partly why I didn't rate it 5 stars. My husband also didn't really love his drink. I tried it and it was not my favorite, either. He actually didnt even drink it all. My drink was good, but not great considering having to wait so long, etc. I'd probably come back if there wasn't a wait, but honestly there are so many great places in livermore with phenomenal craft cocktails that they would probably peak my interest more.

We finally got over here to try this place out. Needless to say we were not disappointed. The service was great starting with the greeter at the entrance to the bartender and waiter. The waiters are also bartenders which is great because they can recommend drinks based on your preferences. The cocktails were on point as you would expect from this sort of establishment. The decor is pretty good too. It's quiet and they put effort into the artwork and the bar area. I highly recommend getting there close to opening if you go on a weekend otherwise you are in for a substantial wait, otherwise try a weekday. We had a really good time here and would come back again.

Great Ambiance and Great Drinks. Awesome service as well, definitely a great place to end the night or to start it as well. Definitely our go to spot when we want to have a good night!

I enjoyed my first visit to Honeycomb Cocktail Lounge! We arrived a little after 8pm on Friday night and were able to be seated right away. When we left around 9:30pm there was a small line. The cocktails here are pricier but I would come back for special occasions or when we have visitors. They had signature drinks but also a limited specials menu. The specials included a drink with Thai flavors (galangal, coconut, kefir lime leaf, Thai chili, butterfly leaf tea, etc) and it was so good! I hope they keep this drink on the menu and I'm excited to see what new craft cocktails they come up with. Overall a fun experience to add to your night out in Downtown Livermore!

I would say this place has some vibe and makes a strong first impression the moment you walk in. The mirrored entrance room is really unique, and once inside, the place feels stylish and cozy, though the lounge area does get a bit tight, especially on a busy Friday night. The bar itself is beautiful with the lit-up marble top that really stands out, and the spacious unisex bathroom was a nice surprise. The holiday atmosphere was a big plus. The giant, glowing Christmas tree in the middle of the lounge and Christmas carols playing in the background made the whole place feel warm and festive. Food-wise, the chicharrones were very well! seasoned and are a must-try, especially paired with the guac. The smoked old fashioned lived up to its name and was extremely smoky, which will appeal to anyone who enjoys bold, heavy smoke flavors. The only downside was the service. Even though it was busy, the attention lagged, and we ended up waiting over 20 minutes for our drinks, which took away from the experience. Oh, and make sure to validate the open hours and get that password on the Instagram before you get in. Overall, it's a stylish and festive spot for cocktails with a great atmosphere, but quicker service would make it an easy five stars.

Came here with some friends a couple weeks ago and had a great time. Some drinks we ordered were the hive mind, roya jelly no. 5, queens elixir, honeycomb's favorite gin and tonic, beeswax old fashioned, and white negroni. We loved all of our drinks!! I really loved my gin and tonic and the sweet sting. Interior was classy and dark. Love the booth seating. Ive been to couple of speakeasies before and this place was pretty loud in comparison. Would love it to be more quieter and more bathrooms! Next time I would love to try some of the snacks

New speakeasy in downtown Livermore! I had a great time so buckle up, I got a lot to say friends. I know speakeasy's are meant to be secret but I'm spilling the beans for y'all. They're located in the alleyway between The Holiday store and Locanda Wine Bar. We came for date night on a Friday evening around 8:00pm and there were two parties ahead of us in line. We waited about 10 minutes and at the front, the bouncer asked us for the password (hint...follow their Instagram!) and we entered a little alcove where a hidden door opened. We were seated at a cute table, though I will note that when they're at max capacity, you won't have a choice of table as they have two standing tables for parties of 4 or less. They have bar seating and cozy booths too! I don't believe they take reservations at the moment since they recently opened, but I will hop on that so fast once it's active. I loooooove themed bars and Honeycomb Cocktail Lounge was a dream. It is so thoughtfully decorated as a homage to honeycomb! The light fixtures that look like dripping beeswax, honeycomb pattern lamps, hexagon shaped shelves...there's some variation of honey in the cocktails too! I even noticed the orange peel in my husband's old fashioned was cut out into a hexagon...I was so giddy can't you tell with all my pictures of his smoky drink :P The menu is a book!! Like wow, 46 pages (at least). If you're a fan of tasting different or hard to find alcohol, this is your spot. Our waiter (Zac? So sorry I am truly hard of hearing) was swift in recommending his favorite cocktails. For bourbon, his top choice was Boulevardier so we'll try that next time! For their signature drinks, he recommended Roya Jelly No.5 and Queen's Elixir, Sweet Sting for Mezcal lovers (also digging these themed drink names). I personally think the Hive Mind is out to get you with the Baijiu but maybe one day I'll be curious enough...lol Roya Jelly No.5 ($18): The melon is strong in this one and I loved it! I tasted the pineapple and honey too. Really had to resist chugging it. And the best surprise of all, it came with a stainless steel straw!!! Not a paper one that will melt in 30 seconds!!! Gosh the things we get excited for these days but this truly made my day hahaha Beeswax Old Fashioned ($20): This drink came with the option to add smoke! It was so cool and I wish I had ample lighting to take a video because I was mesmerized. The drink itself was very strong but silky smooth with a hint of smoke, of course. It had bee pollen in it, which I didn't know was edible! Price wise the drinks are definitely a treat, but I see it as the experience is included. You don't often find these ingredients in typical cocktails (I think) so this is some fancy curating and bartending. You can tell each drink recipe was thoughtfully taste tested. The only thing missing is a live jazz band...if this happens I will positively freak out and come all the time.

It's a vibe! First time here and got the password to enter through their Instagram page. Make sure to check their Instagram for their hours as they do change. Very refreshing to find an actual speakeasy. We must've came at the right time as there was only one group ahead of us cause by the time we left there was a large line to get in. The guy at the front door was so extremely nice. I wish he was our waiter. He would've made our whole experience and would've made this a five star review however that was one of the only problems with our visit was our waitress., she seemed like she couldn't be bothered with us. Drinks are on the pricier side being about $18-$25 a drink. So it's definitely not a place you go to drink all night but worth having a single drink or two we also had some fries and I have to say they were very good although it did take about 15-20 minutes to get them but then again I would come back at least to start the night with a drink. It's absolutely adorable inside!

Livermore is growing up. Wonderful addition to downtown. We arrived at 6PM, perfect timing. We didn't have to wait in line. Lovely craft cocktails. It's elegantly decorated and a nice intimate spot. I recommend coming early and getting the code word for entry on Instagram or Facebook.

I love speak easys and am so happy to see more and more of them coming to the Bay Area! Honeycomb is unmarked but is on the side of the store Holiday. There is a doorman and you have to know the password to get in which changes frequently. You can check their Instagram to find out what the current password is before you go. The dimly lit room gives all the vibes and the place is packed starting on Thursdays. I went on a Tuesday which allowed me to see the place and not having to worry about it being over crowded. They offer delicious small bites so if you're looking for a meal I suggest you eat before hand and make this your after spot. I enjoyed tapas and some of the most delicious cocktails I've ever had! Ask for the purple drink with chili oil; you won't be disappointed. I loved all the small details like monogrammed ice cubes. We racked up a $800 bill but we were in great company, great drinks, and great food so totally worth it. I'm not sure if they have music on the weekend but if they do then it would be perfect! Our waitress was sweet, attentive, and really connected with our table. If you're looking for a nice lounge look no further; this is it!

The vibe here is great! The signature cocktail drinks are so yummy as well! I had my 35th birthday there and we all had such a good time. It was a private event and I worked with Zak on all the details. All of the guests raved about how delicious the food was. They loved the vibe and ambience. It was so cutely decorated during Christmas time. The bartenders did a great job serving the guests drinks in a timely manner. Zak did a great job helping deliver on the night of the event. I have also gone when it was open to the public and had a great time!

They serve non alcoholic drinks too. This wildwonder is my new favorite health drink.

The interior was a nice set up. Not too loud but a little low on the lighting. We kicked things off with the hush puppies. They were crispy, hot, and really good... then the cinnamon butter entered the chat. I appreciate the creativity, but my brain couldn't decide if I was eating an appetizer or breakfast toast. Good hush puppies though. The crispy Brussels sprouts were fantastic. I've had a similar version with lemon at Station 16, so I found myself wanting to grab a lemon wedge out of habit. That said, they were still delicious and disappeared quickly. My cousin ordered the Salisbury steak and absolutely loved it. It was cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavor. My other cousin had the New York steak and said they nailed the temperature and seasoning. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken, and the flavors were outstanding. My only tiny complaint is the sauce. It was so generous that my mashed potatoes eventually surrendered and became mashed potato soup. I'd still order it again because the flavor was worth it but maybe ask for the sauce on the side. My son had the Southwest Salad and cleaned the bowl, which is about as close to a Michelin star as a parent can give. The service was friendly, the food came out looking as good as it tasted, and everyone at the table genuinely enjoyed their meal. Finding a restaurant where nobody is eyeing someone else's plate with regret is harder than it should be, but The Bourbon Pear pulled it off. We'll definitely be making the drive back to Livermore.

On top of the fact that everything that we ordered here on both of our visits have been phenomenal and taste and presentation. The atmosphere is nice. The aesthetics are pretty. It does get a little bit loud, but that's understandable as everyone is there to have a good time and a good meal. We had the Salisbury steak, Reyes, beef, short rib, the flank steak, and I personally had the grilled cheese inside of smoked tomato soup. The tomato soup is literally the best tomato soup I've ever had in my life. The grilled cheese is cooked to perfection and together they are just a wow meal. First off, this is NOT on the staff working. We genuinely felt bad for them. Management thought it was a good idea to schedule ONE bartender and ONE server on a packed Saturday night. The entire place was chaotic, customers were visibly irritated, TVs throughout the restaurant stopped working, and the poor employees were drowning trying to keep up. The stress was palpable that made the experience stressful and not enjoyable. Absolute management failure. At one point I used their self-pour beer wall and poured myself half a Modelo only for it to come out warm I was able to find another beer that was actually cold... but still charged for the warm one. The food was somehow even worse. We ordered the barbacoa nachos, wedge salad, and a kids burger with fries. The kids burger was the only edible thing. The wedge salad was drowning in ranch like someone emptied the whole bottle on it. Tomatoes tasted old and gross. Then came the nachos... tiny portion, bland chips, barely any cheese, no mango salsa like the menu claimed, and the "barbacoa" -- if you could even call it that -- was tough, fatty, and completely inedible. $74 later for one appetizer, one salad, one kids meal, and 1 1/2 beers. We only tipped because we felt bad for the server. We will NEVER be back. Thanks for ruining our Mother's Day dinner.

A Decent Downtown Spot with Great Salmon but Slow Service…read more We came to Maple Street Eatery, located at the end of the street in charming downtown Livermore, for lunch around 12:30 on a Saturday. It was very busy, and we had to wait approximately 20 minutes to get a table. Once seated, it took our server another 10 minutes just to come over and take our order. They were clearly low on staff, but to their credit, the staff members were definitely friendly despite the rush. The food quality varied quite a bit across our table: The highlight of the meal was the Blackened Atlantic Wild Salmon, which my wife ordered. It was served over Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and roasted seasonal organic vegetables, all topped with a lemon, butter, caper, and white wine sauce. This dish was an absolute 5/5--perfectly executed. I ordered the 14 oz New York Steak with scalloped potatoes and charred organic seasonal vegetables, topped with cowboy butter. I asked for it medium-well and really enjoyed the steak, giving it a solid 4/5. My friend ordered Mama's Crispy Tacos (two chicken and one potato), which came with cotija, lettuce, avocado, crema, and pico de gallo, served alongside a spicy green salsa and pinto bean smash. They rated this a good 4/5. On the flip side, my friend also tried the Grilled Baja Prawn Tacos. Served on flour tortillas over a bed of mixed greens with pineapple salsa and chipotle sauce, this dish really lacked flavor and was a disappointing 2/5. We also started with the Seasonal Mixed Greens salad, which came with green apple slices, candied pecans, seasonal berries, and a white balsamic vinaigrette on the side. This was just okay, landing at a 3/5. Overall, Maple Street Eatery is a decent place for brunch or lunch. If the service becomes more efficient and a few of the food items are improved to match the quality of the salmon and steak, we would definitely make this a regular spot to visit.

I am so excited that this place exists, and so embarrassed that I didn't know about it sooner…read more Rosetta coffee is a great place, but four nights a week, it turns into a themed full bar. The Wife and I have been there for a couple of Flapper Fridays, which is speakeasy night. Some drinks of that ilk can be too sweet for me, since the original speakeasies were using fruit juice or whatever to mask the awful booze they had available. But you can also order off menu. The first time we went, I ordered a carrot cake that was fantastic. The second time, we ordered bites, including a pizza flatbread, golden potatoes with different accompaniments, and of course another cheesecake. The Wife was able to order cocktails and beautifully served tea! Service was excellent, as they were very accommodating, and could recommend items easily based on our discussion. Can't wait to go back for Sinatra Saturday!

I'm honestly so disappointed with my experience here. I wanted to have an enjoyable evening but I…read morecouldn't get past my initial impression. Yes, I got here on a Saturday with no reservations. I definitely understood having to wait under those circumstances and I was okay with that. I was told it would be 20 minutes. What I want to focus on is that we were the next group to be seated. There was only two of us. Another group with 4 people walked in about 15 min later after us with no reservations but they were seated almost immediately. The hostess did not acknowledge us nor said anything. Awhile after that I counted 3 different groups leaving - a tota of 8 people. We waited patiently and kept waiting thinking we would be seated. 20 minutes slowly pass by, then another 5, then another 5.. I looked over and saw two tables completely empty. I was literally outside the door after about 45inutes and my phone buzzed. Come to find out that they had 3 open tables available the entire time. The decor is tiki themed along with the drinks however the music playing in the background was jazz. Not sure how that fits the theme. Also, the drinks averaged about $20 and small bites and desserts ranged from $13-$20. I'm torn about wanting to return here.
