I am the "guy"... the owner of Honeymoon Hauling. Dennis Gala. The post written by John Q. about services I didn't even do for him puzzles me. I have been in business for 30 years and have never had anyone complain about services which I didn't even do for them. Yet John rates my business and services by giving me two stars. I believe I am more than fair in my pricing and services. It is quite unfortunate the man was so quick to negatively rate someone who has the work ethics I live by. I am prompt at getting things accomplished for my customers which promoted my being "slightly pushy". Any one who knows me knows I am definitely not "non committal" . I am not afraid to work. Hardly! LOL. My pricing is certainly competitive with others performing similar if not the same services in the field, often times for much less than other businesses would charge. I also recycle ...like crazy... to eliminate good things and material from going to the landfill. Ultimately saving the landfill for future generations. I work often, alone unless the job calls for an extra hand. Wanting a package deal doesn't mean short paying the person you hire to do something "since you are already there". I don't remember every detail of the conversation between John Q. and myself, but if he did not want to help me in whatever he wanted me to do all he had to do was tell me he didn't want to help. Getting a helper is not always easy to do on a moment's notice. I quite possibly could have gotten a helper which I do when the job calls for it and when there is time to do so. Instead of scheduling the job when I certainly could get help, he gives me a two star rating. Kind of an unfair thing to do to a local homegrown business. It certainly would have been nice if he had spoken to me about how he felt before he rated me for doing the work. That would be for the work I didn't do for him. Dennis has helped us out more times than I can count. He has always been incredibly reliable, quick to respond and friendly as ever. He has moved furniture (very heavy furniture) within our house, he has dismantled a treadmill and hauled it away from our basement, he has taken away our "junk", and his latest job involved picking up an exercise bicycle from Sears and delivering it to our house. I paid one guy cash up front to do some trash hauling. He took part of it, left, and never came back! Dennis came and loaded up the rest, swept up and charged me what I thought was a very reasonable amount. I like that he recycles what he can. Will definitely call him for future hauling and highly recommend. read more

Very affordable. Much less expensive than other haulers I have used. Dennis recycles as much as possible (he holds yard sales periodically). 100% reliable. I imagine he is the nicest hauler you will ever meet. I knew his brother Richie in junior high school--not really relevant, but true. read more
