Came here for just the BBQ since the website describes themself as a Korean style BBQ. This review is just for that, the BBQ. The service from Adriana was excellent. She was attentive and made sure we had enough to eat. The spicy pork and spicy pork belly was good. The short rib that tried to be galbi was extremely fatty and wasn't Korean style at all. The first two grill we had were clean but the third one was still covered with burnt chars. The rice was also dry. For the money, this place was a poor value for us. If you want to eat a lot of food, then it's a good deal. But for the quality, it fell short for me. read more

Solid place for AYCE BBQ and Hot Pot! Love the variety of meats, seafood, vegetables, etc that you can choose from. There's also a lot of broth choices for hot pot. Service was pretty solid, with the servers doing a good job of keeping drinks full and coming around to take reorders. Ambiance of the place is quite nice and very spacious. Nice atmosphere and very clean! You order the items being added to your hot pot which at first bothered me and then I realized it's to stop waste. I see people take tons of food that they don't eat and as my mother would say their eyes are bigger than their stomach. Keeps costs down. Had an outstanding dinner utilizing the hot pot cuisine at this restaurant. Our waitress Chrystal did an outstanding job considering that she was new to the position and was very professional and spent time with us to explain the process as it was new to us. Highly recommend this dining experience to anyone who is interested in this type of cuisine. My first visit here was for my birthday. We had such a delicious time. Our server was great and the food was delicious. Even the child enjoyed his meal and he is extremely picky so that says a lot to me. He loved it so much he asked to go back and we did the following week. The place is decorated nicely and the booths have a secluded feel which I like. The three times we have visited, did I mention we returned a third time a few weeks later, we were extremely well taken care of. If my local friends were more adventurous in their food choices, we would visit more often. Only complaint, which is more of a suggestion, is when there are more than two people at a table, it would be nice to have someone pre bussing the tables more often. The two times with four of us dinning, we had too many plates on the table making it hard to set ourselves up properly to eat and not knock things over. It's the Golden Corral of Hot Pot. You can get a lot of acceptable food for a set price. Nothing will amaze you. Atmosphere is cool in spots and feels janky in others. Server gave a teen in our party the wrong broth and didn't want to swap it because he cooked in it before noticing. Been twice, both for the same kids birthday. Today was our second visit to this restaurant. The first time, we had hot pot, and everything was great! This time, we tried the BBQ. The selection of meats was smaller than for the hot pot, but we still ordered several kinds. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed -- the lamb tasted exactly like pork. To make sure there wasn't a mix-up, we ordered another portion of cumin lamb, but it confirmed our suspicion that it wasn't lamb at all. We don't understand why this happened, and we're very disappointed. I found this place so my daughter's soccer team and their families could enjoy a fun dinner out together, while we were in town. It did not disappoint. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing. It's All You Can Eat for 2 hours. We were all stuffed when we left. It was so fun to watch the girls bond and make their own food. All of us parents also had a great time. We stopped here Christmas Day after we went to see a movie. I was really a little hesitant as I had never been into anything like this. What a surprise I thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was very good and the service was fine. The decorations in ambience of the place was exceptional. It was kind of exciting to get in and get to your table. Very decent hotpot in the middle of the desert of authentic Asian restaurants in Sarasota area. It was quite busy on a weekend night - plan accordingly or wait for the table 15-30 min. But it was well worth the wait. I tried only hotpot but plan to come back for pigging out on Korean BBQ next time. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! They charge you by the pound for any meat you order and do not eat. I have been to multiple hot pot restaurants and have never had any of them do this. The warning about the charge is only in very fine print at the bottom of the menu. We had to eat meats we tried and did not like and fatty cuts just to prevent paying a small fortune for the leftover food. Our meal would have been twice the price we paid. Ridiculous and deceiving! We have been waiting for hot pot to make it to our area for quite some time! What a delight! We were a large party and each of us ordered differently to try more broths. The Tom yum was by far my favorite. The rice cake and fried fish tofu were also quite good. Everything was very flavorful. Try the kimchi, it's so good! Everything was very fresh from greens to meat. Y'all are not ready for this one. I was overwhelmed but sweet Linda was a guiding light! This is the perfect spot for a girls night or a date! It's not only delicious, but an experience. Not only are you playing with your food (in the classiest way), you're also immersed in an incredible work of committed interior design skill. I ordered both the hot pot and the bbq! I had a hard time picking things out so Linda recommended I get spicy beef bulgogi - it was so so yummy!! For the hot pot, I recommend you get the mushroom broth with pork dumplings and maybe the shrimp. I added chili oil, sesame oil, soy sauce, chives, bok choy and an egg and it was a gourmet masterpiece. It was so much food - it's all you can eat, but you do get charged if you leave a ton of food behind (it's by pounds which is a lot, so don't worry). An unsual dining experience that I enjoyed more than I expected. Individual hot pots and a shared grill built into the table gives you a blend of Chinese hotpot and Korean-style grill. Thus, a table for 4 has 5 cooking surfaces built-in (4 indiviudal induction cooktops and a grill in the table's center). Thankfully, the induction cooking means that while your nearby hotpot generates steam heat, the table underneath won't create a burn risk. The service staff must manage an ordering process filled with chaos... but they seem to handle it quite deftly. Restaurants that delegate the cooking to customers is not my favorite business model ... but I enjoyed the food and the overall experience. I would encourage everyone to give this place a try - not all will like it, but many would likely be surprised. read more

We have been looking forward to trying this place for months, since a friend recommended it. I lived in Japan and visited Korea so I love anything resembling Yakiniku and Bulgogi. The greeting was so welcoming, the server was so informative, complementary (she told me I have great hair, even in this humidity) and never left us waiting for drinks or hot pot/BBQ refills. Plenty of meat options (NY Strip, pork belly, bulgogi, tongue, pork, prime brisket, scallops, calamari, shrimp). Great Soju selection and we left feeling full but not sick from too much salt. If you're from California and expecting kbbq this place misses. The grill is electric and no fire comes through the grates to get the meat charred. The salad bar area was also a bit disappointing considering that Korean bbq has plenty of banchan to eat with your meat. The smell inside is also quite unique. We let her know something was wrong with the meat and she said she would discount it- she came back with $6 off a $60 tab. We ate one bite, and it was nasty AF, worst service and food. Food is OK. I only go here due to the convenience, but I like the one in Brandon better. The owner walks around to keep an eye on the place, but she definitely will hover over your table if you have been there for too long and she wants you to go. The waiters are friendly though. If I could give zero stars I would. I attempted to purchase a digital gift card on their website for my father's birthday, but during checkout, I received an error stating, "The transaction has been declined because of an AVS mismatch. The address provided does not match the billing address of the cardholder." I assumed I had entered the address incorrectly, but after trying again, I received the same message. Despite the card being declined, I still received pending charges on my credit card. I now have multiple pending charges. I reached out to them, but never got a response from them when typically a response is within 2 days per their automated email. Any company who can't even get their websites operating correctly and don't provide the quality of customer service when issues like this arise do not deserve your business. read more
