Drinks kept coming out as quickly as we ordered them and they were all delicious. But the food was confounding: at times elevated, but sometimes just doing the job. The smoke on the octopus was let down by the chewy inside, the pepper beef had a great flavor profile but also had too many fatty portions, the kung pao chicken cried for more peanuts. It definitely felt like a night on the town inside, which counts for a lot, but I'm not sure what I'd want to eat if I returned.
