We ordered a number of take out dishes from Hong Kong Wok 'n Grill. I thought it was very good. There aren't many straight on Chinese food options in south Florida - most now are Asian-fusion, mixing Chinese with Thai and Sushi - just not the same. Hong Kong Wok 'n Grill is more of traditional style Chinese restaurant. I think the food is a solid 4+/5 and I'd give it a 5/5 accept that my fellows diners thought it was more of a 4/5. We ordered Wonton soup w/spinach and it had a few pieces of spinach in it. The boneless spareribs were good. Also, the Mongolian beef was good as was the Hunan beef which I got at medium spiciness and it was not very spicy. You have a choice of spicy and regular for the dishes. Chicken mei fun was good with thin noodles and the sweet and sour chicken was very good with a side of the weirdly red but delicious sweet and sour sauce. I also like the eggplant with garlic sauce. Hong Kong Wok 'n Grill's service over the phone is very efficient and they know how to do takeout and secure the items (in a box, stacked well). read more

The food was excellent but my order was incomplete despite being billed for my complete order. I ordered on line for delivery, Door Dash was the first option. The order arrived hot and on time, but without the 2 beers I had ordered. I asked the driver where the beer was. He replied (in broken English) that the bag of food was all they gave him. I told him he needed to get the rest of my order and come back. I never saw him again. I called Door Dash and they said to call Hong Kong Wok. I called the restaurant and they told me they were cancelling the order. I said I wanted to pay for what I got but not for the beer that never arrived. My credit card was billed for the full amount and as of a month later no refund has appeared. I will not order from or recommend either this restaurant or Door Dash. read more

No frills Chinese spot featuring tasty food and fair prices. Two entrees was the perfect amount to feed the three of us. The sesame chicken was sweet and crunchy, with larger cuts of meat. Came here today for lunch after having read some good reviews. First of all, service is very attentive. I ordered their Mongolian Beef lunch special. It comes with choice of soup , choice of rice, and choice of egg or spring roll. I had wonton soup( best I've had in area), egg roll and fried rice. Everything was excellent. Wow! I'm not a huge Chinese food fan, but this place is fantastic! My Dad was raving about it a couple of months ago so I suggested we go for dinner the other night. This proved to be a stellar idea. This venue is nothing fancy but they obviously are well known for their quality cuisine because they were jumping for a Tuesday night. We arrived a little after 5PM and it wasn't too busy but the place was packed with people and more waiting to be seated when we departed 1.5 hours later. Additionally, the take-out scene was booming. My Dad and I both started with a soup. He ordered a hot and spicy something or other and I enjoyed a small wonton and spinach soup. We both thought our soups were delicious. For dinner, Dad ordered the sweet and sour shrimp which were massive with a side of pork fried rice. I ordered the Singapore noodles with chicken and shrimp. These feature a spicy curry sauce and provide the perfect kick. Typically, pork is paired with the shrimp but I substituted the pork with chicken. This dish was dynamite and I look forward to ordering it again. I tried one of my father's shrimp and the breading was perfectly fried. We both received generous portions which allowed for leftovers. We left dinner completely satiated and with lunches for the following the day. Our server did a great job taking care of our needs and we didn't have any negative issues. Honestly we were so excited to try this but it was mediocre at best. I understand being busy, but they just don't know how to handle dining in, picking up, door dash, etc. But the ultimate problem was the food. It was not hot (I waited 25 minutes after the assigned pickup time to get it and it was cold). It was not flavorful and it was not enjoyable. There are better places. I know people love it, so maybe its better if you dine in? Ambiance wasn't my concern since I wasn't eating there but it looked fine. I wish this restaurant was closer but it's the only Chinese I've liked in my area. I drive from Hobe Sound. They have the best hot and sour soup. It's so good I have to order a quart to take home. Very disappointed. Dim sum and dumplings appetizers came out raw. It was absolutely horrible. Then we waited for our meals and noticed something moving inside the ground pepper on the table. The first time I ate there I was very happy with the food. The shrimp and pork egg rolls were delicious and the shrimp egg foo young was excellent. The next time I went there were only pork egg rolls and they were disappointing. The food the second time was not the same quality as my first visit. My son and I stopped by based on a recommendation from a Jupiter local who used to live in California. We order Hot & Sour soup (a sweeter version than we are accustomed to), Beef Chow Fun (very tasty, healthy portion of beef to noodle ratio) and served in the wet style (more gravy) than the traditional dry style, baby boy choy (generous helping and perfectly crisp not soggy), and lastly peppercorn beef & scallop (another tasty gravy with the beef & scallop combination). We are from the Bay Area and eat a lot of Chinese food, this outing was a delightful surprise with generous portions. We look forward to returning and trying more items off of their menu. Joking aside, Christmas is generally the most busy - and stressful - day for a Chinese restaurant. Not surprisingly, Hong Kong Wok 'n Grill was slammed when we arrived. There was a long wait for dine-in and the phone didn't stop ringing for take out orders. Recipe for a bad meal??? Nope, ours was excellent! The food was terrific. First, our combination egg drop/wonton soup was warm, rich and flavorful. The egg rolls were crisp and tasty. Our steamed dumplings were perfectly cooked and the dipping sauce rich, with just a bit of spice. The Singapore rice noodles were exceptional: All of the diverse flavors of the ingredients were perfectly balanced. The vegetables crisp and well cooked. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, the roast pork fairly lean and the noodles plentiful. The sauce had just the right mix of curry and soy. The chicken meifun was almost as good. The chicken had a bit of sweetness and it was perfectly cooked. As with the rice noodles, the vegetables were crisp yet fully cooked and the noodles plentiful. Despite the crowd, the service was friendly and efficient. We've ordered take out from here before, but it was our first time dining in and we'll be back. read more

Although pricey, Hong Kong Wok consistently provides the best quality food in the area that we've been able to find so far in this area. 98% if the time all is well. If you have an issue however with your order (I.E. Missing items) you will never win. This in itself is extremely disappointing and sad to see when you patronize the establishment and frequently give them your business. An exchange of business is a two-way street. We try to respect and understand the small business owner and only ask for the same respect in return. Sadly we've not experienced that here. read more

Their service was good. The food came out rather quickly during lunch. It reminds me of the old days when you went into a Chinese restaurant, and they served the wontons before the meal. Those crispy noodles with duck sauce they make. Not that crap in the packet, also mustard is good too, not that paste in a packet other places give you. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, chicken wings, pork fried rice, shrimp with lobster sauce and house special wonton. The shrimp with lobster sauce is great. But a normal complaint at all Chinese restaurants is not enough shrimp. The Kung pao chicken was chock full of chicken, peanuts & veggies. The fried rice was toothsome. I've eaten a lot of Chinese food in my life, even in China and I'm originally from NYC so I'm very experienced in the art of Chinese cuisine. I stopped on a rainy Tuesday looking for really a takeout place to get some soup. As I walked in I realized this was more of a sit down place and so decided to stay and eat some lunch. The place isn't very big, but big enough to have a nice group of people. The waiter appeared quickly, with a big smile on his face. Very nice young man. The menu was big enough and priced reasonably. All the lunches came with soup and eggroll and I was quick to pick my "go to" lunch when checking out a new place. My wonton soup was hot and tasty and the crispy noodles served on the side added the perfect amount of crunch to the rich broth. The pillowy wontons were really tasty. Following that my plate of beef and broccoli with a crispy eggroll was served and I really enjoyed it. Now I won't go as far as to say this is the best Chinese food in Florida or Palm Beach County, but it is very good and I would definitely drive up for it again. read more
