I couldn't resist but look around the cafe first before ordering. The lady that helped me was kind and patient. I hope to know her name next time but she showed me the menu and their fresh pastries for the day. I ended up ordering Doffee Matcha; Matcha latte with espresso and it was a balanced taste of earthy, sweet, and cofffeee! Just what I needed for my night class. AMAZING! Walked in and was immediately greeted with warmth and sincerity. We found a little gem in this shop, the kinda shop novels and movies are written about. An endearing woman working there and younger boy. Passionate about unique coffee, refreshers and doggie treats. Very cute shop! Was looking for a shop with matcha open a little later and found this place on yelp. The shop itself is little and the inside looks adorable. The shop owner is very sweet she was so welcoming when I came in. They had a bunch of options for drinks. I got 3 matchas for myself and some friends and I tried the tres leches matcha and it was very good! i had no idea what to expect but I liked it. I was worried about the matcha color but it was tasty I personally like sweeter drinks though. I also bought some cookies for my dogs they look super cute and I know they'll love it. I had a really wonderful experience both a patron of the shop and ordering a specialty doggie cake! First off, the ambiance of the shop is so fun! Must love dogs! It's so doggie-centric and sweet. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. She makes each drink special whether you're seated in one of the cozy chairs or sofa or if you're taking your drink on the go! There are yummy treats for you and your pup too. Speaking of yummy food, I purchased a cake from Honney Doffee for my dog's 16th birthday and the ordering process was easy and painless. I have been here twice and I have to say, this is a hidden gem. The i side of the store is so eclectic, fun and inviting. There are so many options on the menu. WOW! Legit best matcha I've had in San Diego county. This coffee shop just opened up. I believe it replaced another coffee shop that relocated to Chula. It is a very welcoming environment. They have lots of decorations, plants and seating. Not only is it very aesthetically pleasing but it's very calming. They have some small games which I always love at a coffee shop! Coffee shops rarely really impress me all around but this one did. They also are dog friendly (as you will see with the dog decor.) They even have a water bowl out front and a dog bed which is such a sweet touch. I don't own a dog but I always appreciate a business that is pet friendly. I also saw they had a flyer up for donations for local 6th graders. They seem to be community focused. Which I absolutely love. Community is so important. Now to the nitty gritty. Service was awesome. The guy at the counter was very kind. I didn't know what I wanted so I asked him to pick for me. I usually get met with annoyance (at other places) but he was happy to help me pick. I am so glad I took his recommendation on what I should get. He recommended the matcha. I got the matcha with vanilla milk. This matcha had me saying cuss words out the door because it was so good. Not bitter or bland. I don't know exactly how to describe other than it was a damn good matcha. Refreshing and a slight sweetness. I highly recommend just going to try it for yourself. They also sell small bites. I sadly didn't get any but they did look good. They also offer a loyalty program (good ole fashion punch card.) Prices were very reasonable. Overall a very positive experience. I will be back very soon. My only critique is I wish they had a bit more out door seating. But they are a small business and did just open. So it's not a big deal at all. Definitely worth a visit (even more so if you have a fur baby.) I am so excited to see this shop thrive! read more

My husband and I stopped by today , it was our first time at this coffee shop. The owner was so sweet and friendly, she was giving out Christmas gifts for the kids which I thought was so kind of her. I ordered 2 banana pudding matcha lattes and they were delicious, it was a good mix of sweetness to it not overly sweet. I was very happy with my drinks , I will be coming back to support this small business. The shop was Christmas decorated, it has a very cozy feeling to it . We stumbled upon this place after checking out of our AirBnB for the weekend and ordered the house matcha and coffee. The owner was extremely thorough with explaining the menu, and it was great to look around while the drinks were being made. The ice used is actually frozen coffee so it doesn't water down your drink, which I've never seen a store do before. This place is also dog-centric in the best way - they have dog friendly ice cream and pastries, as well as human treats available. The honey doffee was recommended by the barista as one of the best coffee's so I ordered the honey doffee with vanilla syrup was over priced. It tasted like watered-down coffee from a kerig machine with and excess amount of creamer poured into the coffee. The barista also laid a coffee filter sheet over my cup, in between the cup and the lid, so my coffee was spilling all over my clothes as I walked back to the car.
