    Dark chocolate coconut is delicious!
    Margot D.

Friends of mine spent a week in Hawaii and brought me a fantastic box of these cookies! I thought the pineapple container was adorable, and when I opened it to find that each delicious cookie is also pineapple shaped, it warmed my heart. Delicious AND cute??? YES! The insert included showing each cookie flavor was very helpful, and the white chocolate coconut was wonderful (and I generally will pass on white chocolate). This was a fantastic gift and the reviews reflect that!

Ever since the family loved eating the samples from the location at the Hilton Hawai'ian Village we come to the Sand Island location for better pricing and selection. The store moved since our last pre-Covid visit and had limited parking in front. As others have noted reversing out of the parking spot required care due to all the traffic on Sand Island Access Road. The store carried prepackaged boxes, tins and bags of their shortbread cookies. They come with a cube of fruit on top, chocolate dipped or as mini versions. We liked to choose our own flavors and a cookie can cost less than $1 per in the 30 piece box. Samples available to try this time were guava, ube and pumpkin shortbreads as well as chocolate dipped (one package pp). Glad we got to try ube and pumpkin but ube was no longer available in bulk except for the pre-packages. Ube now one of our favorites in addition to guava. For those frequent buyers they have a digital card tied to your mobile phone number where you can collect points for every $5 spent. The old paper card points can be manually transferred over (once I find them)!

Recently visited this store located in sand island. The store was already in the Christmas mode. Lots of cookies tins with a Hawaiian Christmas theme. The cashier pointed out the sample area which you could taste their cookies. The store is small ,but they have the full selection of their cookies. Great friendly service and ono cookies. Great gifts to send as Christmas gifts. Enjoy, I did.

Possibly my favorite cookie... I've been to the Waikele Outlet location of Honolulu Cookie Company and the staff there are right - only the Waikele location lets you pack your own "suitcase" tin. At other locations, you may select the contents of the "boxes". The "suitcase" is pre-packed for customers at the Ala Moana, Waikiki, and Sand Island locations. So...I brought my mom and sister with me. We parked right in front of the store and entered the cozy, tidy shop. I knew what I wanted after confirming that I could choose my own cookie flavors if I got a "box" instead of a "suitcase". I packed my own XL box of 30 cookies. It's the best deal price wise. Each pineapple-shaped cookie is less than a dollar each! LOL! Remember that these are special cookies with local flavors such as pineapple, mango, guava, macadamia nut, and Kona coffee! I like the crispness and buttery taste! They're perfect for party favors, gift giving, snacks, etc! Tip: this location has samples - help yourself! There were only 4 flavors to sample. The Waikele location has every flavor to sample! Remember to bring your own tote bag or buy a bag there. Every size is the same price of 15 cents!

Tl;dr: Great variety of cookie gift boxes! Helpful staff Visited the island for my HS reunion and needed to bring back something for my office. Who doesn't like cookies with island flavor and dipped in chocolate? Decided on HCC for cookies and wanted to see some variety in cookie gift boxes so I chose this location instead of the mall locations which sometimes have limited options. This location is definitely a warehouse location and parking is limited to just a few stalls (maybe 5-7) just in front of the doors. The other parking in the area are for workers or other business folk in the area. Once inside, the store area is relatively small, but there are a variety of gift boxes in different shapes and with different cookie amounts and varieties. There is also a station that lets you choose the amount and variation of cookies you want! I'm not a fan of tart fruit in cookies, so I did not want those in my gift boxes, so I chose the chocolate heavy ones instead. It was a great option! We also got a few gift boxes: one that looked like a pineapple, and one that looked like an old-fashioned lunch box. The office loved it! The woman working at the desk was helpful with helping us pick flavors and noted that we should try their new flavors ("gold chocolate" dipped -- tasted like a creamy butterscotch). When she cashed us out, she let us know that if we spent more than $50 we got a free set of 5 cookies which bode well for me since I'm a huge snacker.

NOTE: All locations are temporarily closed due to Covid-19. Please check their website for updates. I love Honolulu cookie company, great options for gifts or snacks for yourself! Love that they sell single cookies as well. My favorite is definitely the dark chocolate dipped guava! So delicious! Always check the sell by date, although individually wrapped and sealed, they don't stay fresh for a long extended period of time. Definitely check this place out!

The Honolulu cookie factory is the perfect store for getting gifts for your friends family or coworkers back home. Not only is the packaging really nice, the taste of the cookies is amazing as well. I really enjoyed that you can mix and match and ultimately create your own box of cookies. Definitely recommend to anyone who is in Hawaii to try them out!

While cookies aren't at the top of my list of go-to indulgences, I cannot resist the cookies from Honolulu Cookie Company. Their shortbread base cookies are buttery but not crumbly and messy like other shortbread cookies. And the flavors are irresistible, all 20+ of them. At their retail shops, you can either buy them individually, a la carte (5, 10, 20, or 30 cookies of your choice), or in prepacked gift boxes. They're great as gifts or for yourself! My personal faves are the guava (seasonal), coconut, and dark chocolate dipped macadamia. This particular location is right off of Sand Island Access road on the right side as you're heading into Sand Island - very convenient to/from the airport. But they are only open on weekdays from 9-4. Park right in front of the store.

Ever since they closed the Ward location, I've been going to Ala Moana kiosk in the food court. Today, I decided to venture out to their main location on the Sand Island Access Road. They're located on the right side if you're facing the ocean. Free parking stalls are available right in the front of their store. When you're on the Sand Island Access Road, they're like 2 short blocks away and you can miss easily so be prepared to stop and turn to their location. Sand Island Access Road is filled with big trucks and fast cars so watch out for that too. Ok, so this is my go to place for gifts. For some reason, in my head I imagine this factory/main location would be somewhat old and interesting place to visit but surprisingly it was same as the old Ward location but little smaller. Maybe I was hoping to see some old history of Honolulu Cookies things or maybe some keychain or other non-cookie souvenirs but didn't see any. No problem. But I got what I came for. I do hope they open another location somewhere near Ward area again.

This is the best location to pick up Hawaii goodies! They have the full selection found at the retail stores at a discounted price. The employees are so friendly, helpful and patient. Be sure to get a punch card for even more savings!

Came on Aug 5th... OMG cookie heaven!!! its smaller then the other stores but its across from the distrubution factory (orginal location) There a few samples to taste if u like it or not. Prices r base on individual to different box sizes. Would come back to this place since there plenty of parking spaces.

These cookies (butter macadamia, lilikoi mango and kona coffee) plus a bag of Hawaiian Teas (Passion Fruit Na Pali) wrapped and sealed in a brown box were given to wedding guests at my nephew's wedding banquet. I enjoyed both items so much, and I wanted these items as a retirement party favor for my co-workers and friends, as a thank you for helping me in the office. (Yes, after almost 40 years of state service, I am set to retire and enjoy a certain amount of RR&R - relaxation, rest and retirement.) A telephone call was made to the Honolulu Cookie Company for more information on the cookies. A gentleman by the name of Ronson assisted me and answered my questions, telling me there were 12 more flavors - oh, yum. I ordered the teas and cookies from the respective websites of Hawaiian Coffee Company and Honolulu Cookie Company before the Labor Day weekend. (Seven boxes of assorted flavored teas - 140 tea bags; and 2 cookie jar containers of 6 different flavored cookies (8 of each flavor) - 96 cookies). The cookies finally arrived yesterday afternoon. Inasmuch as I want to devour at least a dozen of these delicate pineapple-shaped cookies in one sitting, I couldn't do so. I now have at least 60 party favors to assemble (two tea bags, one cookie and 2 Hershey macadamia nut kisses, see photo of party favor) before 9/24/2013. I know these cookies are fragile and yes some of them have crumbled. I don't like to place broken/crumbled cookies in a cellophane bag and hand them out as party favors. (IMO, whole cookies represent whole-heartedness; broken cookies represent a lack thereof.) I would rather eat a broken/crumbled cookie than give it away as a party favor. Well, two coconut cookies crumbled and I ate them...they complemented the coconut madamia tea very well - ono/yummy. (The Brits have high tea with their crumpets, English biscuits, scones, etc.) But, mmm...HI tea with Honolulu pineapple-shaped shortbread cookies at noon...kau kau time...high tea, Hawaiian-style. I know I cannot hold that teacup with thumb and little pinkie sticking out (the gesture of hang loose)...LOL. Mahalo nui, Honolulu Cookie Company, for putting a smile on my face and bringing in that Island sunshine to the mainland - Alameda, CA.

We saw some people illegally parked on the street right on the corner, but they didn't care, they would brave a citation just for these amazing treats! I am sure the neighbors who live across from this place think this is a massive headache, to have such a popular chocolate place right in their own neighborhood - either that, or a blessing, since they can just walk right across! There are 4 tiny stalls in the driveway in the front of the Doggie Bakery and this place, but it looks far too challenging to get in and out and onto the main street, which is insanely busy on a weekend. We parked in the neighboring lot and purchased something from another business just so we could get some chocolates here. If the parking situation were better, I'd come back. I purchased the Hokkaido Soft Serve (weekends only, I think), it was delicious but I was expecting more fatty mouthfeel for something that was labeled as "Hokkaido". It was lighter than I was expecting. The chocolates, on the other hand, were fabulous and worth every, expensive, penny. By the way, who the heck nowdays says "worth every penny"? Probably old folks like me who knew what a penny was, and now due to inflation and the Federal Reserve nixxing the penny, it's probably worth 0.0012 cents now. Rainbow Shave Ice - it really does taste like shave ice! I came here mainly for this, as I've heard the hype and the hype is real! Hibiki Whisky Chocolate - nice and lovely. Dubai Chocolate - with gold leaf and everything. The Dubai craze is insane. This was good, but the least of my favorites. Six chocolates + one soft serve = $30.
