I visited this location on Saturday, April 7, 2018, arriving around 8:00 pm. I read previous reviews about the location, but figured since most of them were closer to the opening date it would be a more pleasant experience. Well, as it turns out, my experience was just about as dissatisfying as the previous ones. Let me also mention my main purpose for coming to the restaurant that night was to watch the UFC 223 fights that were occurring, which I called several weeks in advance and the day of the fight to ensure they were showing it and even asked about a cover fee. I was reassured there was no fee and they were showing the fights. Here is what I encountered: 1) I'm not entirely sure what the plan was for their parking lot, but I found it to be ridiculous in that it's almost up a slope behind the restaurant and you have to walk down and around to the front of the building facing the street to enter. That was very fun when it was windy and in the low 40 degree temperature. 2) The restaurant was crowded, as I expected. My friend and I walked up to where a hostess was supposed to be standing at, only to have several other waitresses pass through, one of them even making eye contact with my friend twice, and ignore us. After the fourth time I stop one of them and ask where the hostess is so that we could be placed on the waiting list for a table. Turns out she doesn't know where the person is and looks confused as to what she should do next. She actually looks at me as if I'm supposed to tell her or just say that it's okay, I'll wait. Yeah no, I'm already waiting. She ends up writing my name down and the amount of people in my party. Surprisingly the wait time was only 15-20 minutes. 3) Around 20 minutes later we are seated. I ask if we could be seated near a tv showing the fight. The hostess tells my friends and I that they aren't showing the fight. I point at a tv that was turned on showing the fight and she replies "oh, I was told we weren't showing it." 4) We are seated, we order our food, and several minutes later my wings come out. I ordered wings and curly fries, one friend ordered fried pickles, and the other friend ordered curly fries also. Only my wings were brought out. I'm sitting there like okay....a few minutes later the fried pickles arrive. Our waitress then comes over to check on us and I tell her I'm waiting on my fries and so is my friend. Let me also mention none of our food was hot. The temperature was warm at best. Our fries finally arrive but my friend and I were still waiting on the drinks we ordered. This leads to my next issue. 5) The drinks were terrible! I ordered a Clearwater daiquiri or something like that and it tasted like watered down liquor. My friend's margarita did as well. I sent my drink back and asked for a soda instead. My other friend ordered a beer, which was fine except for the fact that it had been sitting up for a while because all of the foam at the top was just about gone. 6) The tv showing the fight suddenly changed so we ask our waitress about it. She says that someone must have requested it to show something different, but notes that she can change another tv for us. I see her walk to her supervisor, who I then see shake her head "no." When our waitress comes back over she says she can't change it to the fight. That was literally the only reason I came to the restaurant, but by that point we were already consuming our food and I would have missed the fights I wanted to see if I drove to another location anyways. I was livid. I had been lied to, which was my specific reason for calling ahead of time, to avoid this situation. By that time I was ready to leave. Also let me note that we were brought out, after we had already received our food, four or five other orders that we had to keep telling them wasn't ordered by us. I'm wondering if that's what happened to our food and is the reason it wasn't hot. The only reason I'm even giving them two stars is because our waitress was actually being nice and trying to accommodate us. I most likely won't be back, as I'm not much of a hooters fan anyways and can receive subpar food and the experience somewhere else if I really choose to. read more

Looks like the manager is to worried personally for his employees and needs to teach his girls to be quick and active in their job. 4/24/18 7:00pm I have to say I deliberated on giving a two star. My reasoning, the food was good .However, the service was horrible. What stood out most was the manager on duty that night walked right by our table with his shirt untucked, wrinkled walking by tables seeing empty glasses on our table not bothering to stop ask if we needed a refill or pick them up. Then he had the nerve to get on to the waitress out in front of everyone: She was totally new and overwhelmed. The kitchen messed up on the wings I would think that you would know the difference between the dry rub naked wings and dry rub breaded wings, it's HOOTERS . I visited this fairly new Hooters location on Tues around 8pm. My main purpose for coming were to grab some smoke wings. About 20 mins after my order was place in.. then I was told that by my bartender that there's no smoke wings tonight. So I changed the order to traditional wings. It is now at 10pm & still no wings. My bartender didn't seem to notice that my food was not here& finally my wings arrived but the flavor was wrong Overall this hooters really need an experience new kitchen staff, bartender that really know what they doing TERRIBLE SERVICE!! read more

Absolutely LOVEEEEE the idea of a Hooters in cedar hill! We went during happy hour times And although they didn't have drink specials they have a Pina Colada that will get you on your toes and keep you there! We ordered the 20 naked wings with mild buffalo sauce and were pleased with the food. They had the mega tv with NBA playoff highlights and the atmosphere was full of energy. Uggg, the service here is absolutely horrible. I only go because my husband loves their wing or I would never step foot in this place. I ordered roasted broccoli and it wasn't roasted, it was steamed. Staff was very friendly but the food took way to long to come out. The one star is really for the TVs glitching all night. Literally every 30 seconds it would glitch and take about 5 seconds to reset. I asked the waitress about it and she said they've been doing that for a long time and management won't fix them. The service in this place is horrific! Our waitress was new & obviously not properly trained as she didn't seem to know that you have to check on your tables from time to time. We had to get other staff to find her for us every time. We waited an hour & 20 min to get our food & only one plate came out. The manager finally came out to explain that they were behind with online orders & would check on our food. The other plates finally came but one was not what was ordered. We never saw the manager again to check on us. A family next to us left after waiting over 30 minutes just to get their drinks. It appears management sets the tone for service at this restaurant and the wait staff follows it perfectly! We were in the area and left home zone starving. Drove around and saw hooters. Was a little hesitant because it didn't look at all busy for a Sunday, but we went in anyways. Seated right away. Frances was AHHHMAZING. Food was good. I rounded up to a 4 (from 3.5) because the table had to be wiped down, chairs had crumbs, floor sticky, and bathroom was not that great. Sat down and it took almost 20 mins to get our drink order taken, another 30 for my drink to get to my table, an hour for the food and it was wrong. Manager came to my table and said he would bring what was missing from my order and correct the rest. Never brought what was missing, when I went to him and informed him that I had yet to receive what he initially said he would be bringing himself he had an attitude and said the girl should have taken it to you, with an attitude! Kevin is the rudest manager I have yet to meet at a restaurant. All of tonight's issues fall on management, poor wait staff. NEVER in my life coming back to this restaurant! I ask for a manager and magically my food is ready almost instantly. I was simply going to ask the manager what the issue was after sitting there for a to go order for 40 min. The girl couldn't tell me who the manager was but that he was very busy and couldn't talk. Wow!!!!! Customer service industry and you can't take a concerted customer???? Really??? So I asked for the GM's name and all she would tell me was his name is Terry. Totally unprofessional.
