I've been to several Hooters and was looking forward to eating some wings. When we walked in, no one was there to greet us/ seat us. We were eventually seated. My brother and I along with our SOs went here for Veterans Day. It was insanely busy and we were very surprised to have gotten a table so quickly. Once seated we were quickly greeted by our energetic waitress who had one to many red bulls(or other stimulant). Never the less she was very friendly. We gave our order and once again due to the crowd was surprised how fast it came. The food was par compared to most hooters. I got wings with Three Mile Island sauce. Now I remember why I haven't been here in 6 years. While I was greeted by a pleasant smile and a naturally ample pair of hooters, and my drink order was quickly filled, it seemed to take too long to take my food order. When she finally came back to my table, she adequately took my order but looked surprised when I glanced at those big hooters pressed up and out at me. Being a gentleman, I didn't stare, but any straight man would look! From here the experience went south. It took 30 minutes to get my food, and it wasn't even warm. The curly fries were literally room temp. The BBQ wings tasted stale. The bleu cheese dip tasted sour. Mind you, this all started at 1:30pm, so the lunch rush was over. Pretty crowded for a Monday night. Not too loud. The waitress was a little slow getting to the table but the drinks showed up quickly. After not being able to be seated because of a StingRay event at Wild Wing Café in North Charleston we chose to go to Hooters. Please note everyone was finished eating and no available tables for a family of 8. Wild Wing Cafe lost my business for good because my family has discovered the wings at Hooters are phenomenal!! I have only been to Hooters once before. My parents and teenage kids have never been there . I will say that I am now a fan of their wings. They are better than the Wild Wing Café and Buffalo Wing Wing Café in the Charleston/Summerville areas. We a great time as family and were treated wonderful. Hooters has the best wings hands down!! Upon arrival my girlfriend and I were seated at a high top table that needed to be cleaned. The waitress finally came by a couple of minutes later and cleaned the table and took our drink order. The drinks arrived promptly and she took our dinner order. We both ordered the platter's that included wings, shrimp, and chicken nuggets $19 each. The waitress asked us if we wanted fries, tater tots, or onion rings. We both ordered the onion rings. This is the point that it went south. We waited approximately 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Our waitress was apologetic because it was obviously the kitchens fault. We were even more disturbed when we watched a guy come in and ordered a burger, ate his burger, before we ever got our food. We finally received our food and was not hot. My girlfriends shrimp were just plain cold. We let the waitress know this when she checked on us. We just told her to let the kitchen know because we were so hungry and waited so long for our food that we just ate it anyway. When we finished our meal and received the check we noticed that we were charged $13.98 for 2 orders of onion rings. We were under the impression since the waitress asked if we wanted fries, tater tots, or onion rings that it was included with the meal. I asked the waitress to remove the charge thinking it was a mistake. She said it wasn't but she would get her manager. After waiting for a manager for five minutes the waitress finally came back and said she couldn't refund the onion rings and gave me a gift card for future nuggets. I was disgusted with how long the meal took and my entire experience that just tipped her and left. I know restaurants are having a hard time with employees now but after paying $70 for some chicken and onion rings that I thought were included with the entree along with a couple of drinks was pretty excessive. I've had better meals at Chick-fil-A and Zaxby's chicken way cheaper. I would not be complaining but when we were charged $13.98 for two orders of onion rings after we complained that the meal was cold was just ridiculous. read more

This is the perfect place for a child/man turning 18 years old to go for lunch. The food is always good and the atmosphere is perfect for the youngling to enter into manhood. lol We had a little get together at Hooter's and they girls got together and sang for Brennan's turning 18.. Called in a order to go, the young lady over the phone was very kind. She took the time to explain various order combinations and made suggestions. I was told the order would be ready within 20 min as i arrived the order was ready . I was able to quickly able to grab and go from the bartender. I frequent this Hooters on the occasion Saturday night to catch must see UFC Fights. Hooters takes it upon themselves to book the high priced PPV bouts and encourage all to come and enjoy the good time. The food is excellent (for Hooters and the few choice meals they do offer) and the service is always a pleasure. This is one of the more pleasurable Hooters I have become a loyal customer for the overwhelming degree of expense they incur just to bring people to together for a good time. A profit they make and great time we all have. I have never been at this Hooters and experienced a less then engaging environment and staff. The fried pickles are great, the chicken is tender and not overcooked and wonderful people come and go consistently. This Hooters by far exceeds the standard that I have been accustomed to. They charge you for celery! That's all you need to know. I'm done overpaying for crap food. Waitress asked my 12 year old if he wanted celery. Of course he said yes. Then the bill comes and says "extra celery". So I asked her what that meant because I didn't get extra anything. She says oh thats just for celery. Seriously? If I could give them negative stars I would. The service was horrible. The waitress has an attitude from the time we arrived she also didn't get the orders right and messed up all the checks. The manager was horrible. He didn't care that his server wasn't good. We went to him with the complaints and he said "ok" nothing else. He didn't try to resolve the issue. His staff was talking about us ( the customers ) while standing on the floor. So we decided to be just as petty and talk about them. It shouldn't take 20 min to get a beer when the place is empty. It shouldn't take 30 min to get shots when the place was empty. The waitress staff was doing absolutely nothing while our cups were completely empty and people in the party was drinking ice. Went here on a Saturday night to have a couple drinks before going to the movies with my husband and we never saw our waitress. We had to go to the bar to order drinks, then sat back down. Waited a solid 30 minutes and still nobody came by to our table, but they did to the one next to ours. By then it was close to the time we had to leave, so we just left. Nobody even noticed. Granted it was busy, but still, at least take the order or apologize for taking so long. 2 stars is being generous, and that's because the drinks at the bar were good. read more

Let's be honest though, a big reason people visit Hooters is for the scenery and at times this location has some excellent views. I have been to this Hooters a couple of times, never really was anything great. Service is always kind of eh. Last night we went there to watch some March Madness games. Mind you there are four games going on at a time. I understand not everyone wants to watch basketball and there will be a few other games on. Of the 8 Tv's I could see from the table, there were 2 tv's with the same game on, 2 with the women's tournament, college, wrestling, and college baseball. Really? This is march madness! Then the real kicker came, one of the TV's turned on to QVC. No I am not kidding, after telling the waitress about this she laughed and commented on it, and it didn't get changed for over a half an hour. It is getting later in the evening and this place was not busy at all. This is a sports bar and there is QVC on which is crazy to begin with, but during march madness? Really? Might as well go to BWW or wild wings at least the service is better and they know not to show QVC!! read more

Went to Hooters after an eight hour drive. Here the all you can eat wings are on Mondays... Perfect! Figured that I'd give them a try. Ordered a tall Dos Equis and the first ten wings... both came out very fast. I wish I could say the same for the subsequent orders. I ordered my follow on wings when the each order of wings were delivered to the table. Both of those subsequent orders took a very long time which, as everyone knows, gives more time for the wings you've already eaten, to make you feel full. My second beer also took a really long time to come out as well... No one enjoys sitting with an empty beer glass and a plate full of chicken wing bones for 15 minutes. I don't know what the issue was as they are really not that busy... less than half of tables had customers. They really need to step up their game. I love hooters. The wings are my favorite. I was in the mood for something spicy and "dragged" the husband here. The women were very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, our son threw up (he just wasn't feeling good.) The waitresses were very helpful and even got my little one ginger ale, while another boxed up our dinner.
