The $9 price for a side order of fried pickles is a hilarious symbol of another mediocre fast food franchise scheme. What then could be so spectacular to warrant a 5 star review? Esp. when it's normal in this pathetic consumer culture to find something to whine about. The ranch dressing is phenomenally savory here. I will devour the ranch dressing at Hoots like an Irish Wolfhound trying to lick the peanut out of the bottom of a discarded jar of Skippy. I enjoyed the ranch here so much I could not even eat my order of fries in the Hoots's eerily quiet/deserted store front. Privacy is key for ideal Hoots ranch consumption. read more

Not great, but not terrible. Just ok would be what I would describe the food here, well specifically the wings which is what I ordered. I feel it was a bit pricy at $14 and change for 6 wings and a small helping of waffle fries. The drink was included in that but still felt a bit overpriced. I will agree with another reviewer on this that the ranch was delicious but I don't see a big reason for going back on a regular basis. I only really tried this since I had to wait for a prescription from the Walgreens since it was a very short walk. Admittedly, I have been a fan of Hooter's wings since I was a college student (don't judge!). While I doubt I'll ever return to an actual Hooter's again, it's nice to know I can get a little taste from the past in takeout form. The menu is pared down but the wing options have expanded with new flavors and cooking methods (including smoked!). I was too dumb to plan ahead and download the app, but you should! Only later I realized I could have had $5 off my meal. The smell of the wings and the breading are the same, though the actual chicken has changed. Hooter's used to have mutant sized chicken wings and drums, but now the chicken is no different than any other wing shop. Overall, Hoot's was a nice drive down memory lane. Time will tell if this becomes a part of my rotation or if I'll be back at WingStop. read more

Their wonderfully kind and attentive staff, led by Anna, greeted us as we walked in the door and offered us samples of all of their sauces and rubs which was incredibly helpful in choosing what we wanted to order. I definitely got full real quick with the food that we got and was surprised at how large the side of fried pickles were. I definitely wished I asked for the wings to be tossed in less sauce cause it was a lot and I kept finding myself trying to remove the access sauce. This is like a wing stop but hooters. You walk up and order and seat yourself. No hooters outfits just hooters wings. They have about 3 beers on tap, and some in bottles in the fridge. Service was good I enjoyed the patio outside it was spacious. I was going to order fried pickles but they didn't have the sauce that the regular hooters carries so I opted out, the place was clean. Despite some of the reviews, we decided to give this place a go because we were in the area. Customer service was very accommodating & pleasant. Place was very clean, & our order took maybe ten minutes to come out. I'd say it's slightly pricey, but the food was good, so not completely unfair. Plenty of flavor options to pick and choose from which is definitely a plus in my book when it comes to chicken wings. The staff were not only professional, but extra generous. We got a drink on the house while we waited for the food to be made. The staff also gave us two extra ranch, which was definitely appreciated. So when I put in my order it was 8:33pm when I got my food it was 9:15pm. I ordered a chicken sandwich and 6 wings. When I got my sandwich it was just chicken and lettuce. Unfortunately, the Hoots that opened near our house is a bit disappointing. We have been twice for take out. Both times the wings have been soggy and not very appetizing. The sides have also been just fair. I was really hoping this would be good. My family really likes Hooters wings. If there was a Hooters close to home, we would be there often. I was really excited to see Hoots opening close to home. Maybe I should try eating in. They have a small seating area, and they do have four or five beers on tap. I don't think I will order take out from this location again. There are other fried chicken or wing places in the area that do a nice job. read more

They have breaded, naked, roasted or smoked wings. I tried the grilled chicken sandwich and it was super juicy with a buttery brioche bun, accompanied with perfectly prepared tater tots. The people that work there are very nice. We ordered breaded wings and breaded boneless wings, tater tots, and mozerella sticks. I don't think they use actual deep fryers, but rather commercial air fryers. So the food was meh. Imagine getting frozen breaded chicken wings from the store and popcorn chicken. You heat up in your oven at home. This is what everything tasted like. It wasn't bad, but it's not great and really no different than what you can buy frommthe frozen food aisle and heat up yourself. I ordered the original breaded buffalo wings expecting them to taste like the hooters restaurant ones and they were not remotely close. I recently had the chance to check out the new Hoots Wings that opened up at the corner of Chapman and Tustin, and I must say, it's a refreshing twist on the classic Hooters dining experience. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the space was modern and welcoming, with a friendly staff that made me feel right at home without the traditional Hooters Girls approach. We ordered wings and shrimp with fries and a drink. The price was right and the service was great. They did have some issues with the register, but it's opening day, if something can go wrong it will. But it's not just about the wings. The seasoned fries were awesome too! The service was great. The woman up front was awesome. Sure, it's Hooters without the Hooters Girls, but what you're getting in return is a spot that lets you focus on sharing a meal with friends, and family. She let us try some of the sauces and answered any questions we had. The food did take a while, about 30 minutes, but the food was VERY fresh. First time going to Hoots and was Bomb! I had the chicken spicy sandwich and the chicken is fresh. My kids had the Naked Chipotle wings and they were bomb as well.
