First off, shoutout to the staff. Everyone was super friendly! Kind, energetic people will always make a restaurant experience pleasant. I got a free shake for my birthday. I highly recommend signing up for their rewards program. They have some pretty nice perks! In terms of the shake, the strawberry flavor could have been a little stronger (some real strawberries would have really set it off!), but the consistency was great. I sat at a table while I waited. As someone who eats Gluten Free, I used to LOVE eating here. Unfortunately I find the gluten-free buns to be hit or miss so I used to always order the burger bowls. (I'm leaving a 2-star rating because the sides and appetizers are usually fine.) However, the recent change to the protein bowls seems to be a huge mistake. As someone who typically enjoys eating salads, I ordered the southwest poblano bowl - and I thought it was gross! Way too much protein, gross dressing flavor, and without any of the yummy "burgery" sauces/flavor. To me, it seems like they didn't have anyone test out these flavor profiles. Just focusing on the high protein marketing is not enough for me. Hard pass! read more

We've had Hopdoddy's in the past, and they've always been consistent about the quality of the food. We came on a Saturday evening, around 7pm, and it wasn't too busy. However, there was still a long wait because they were training a new cashier. It took about 20 minutes from when we arrived and started standing in line to get to the order counter. This gave us plenty of time to decide what to order, but it was still a long wait. I used to work at a burger restaurant, and training always happened during lunch or in the afternoon when it wasn't as busy. I would think they would have done the same. I went with the Good Cause burger and an order of truffle fries. The wait for the food wasn't too long, about 10 minutes. The food was fresh and hot when it was brought to our table. Unfortunately, the burger looked smaller, and the fries seemed to be less than we remember. The price has, however, increased. We were still full after the meal, but we're not comfortable shelling out close to $18 for a burger and fries, lol. For that money, I'd rather go to P. Terry's for two burgers and two sides of fries. The service itself was good, so no complaints there. A waitress came around to check on us after our food was delivered, which I appreciated. Overall, it'll be a hard ask for us to return to Hopdoddy's because their value offer has diminished significantly. By far the best tasting burgers I've ever had and I've had quite a few in many places in my day. The staff and crew are not only kind and friendly they always greet my family as if they were there own. The manager should be proud and owner take a look and see how a true burger joint this is. This hopdoddy isn't as good as the other locations. The fries were incredibly overcooked causing them to be rock hard and inedible. Very disappointing because it was my cheat day. I'll give this review 3 stars because I did enjoy my black bean burger. I usually don't like goat cheese, but it tastes good with this burger along with the combination of avocado, chipotle aïoli, and pesto. The ambiance is welcoming. I like music decor. My kids and I visited this location for dinner. When I ordered our food, I asked for a margarita as well, but I was told that I needed to order drinks directly from the bar. When I went to the bar, the bartender told me to come back in 10 minutes because she was preparing other drinks. I returned to my table, but a few minutes later, I noticed other customers approaching the bar and she took their orders right away. I felt completely ignored. Additionally, the fries we received were extremely salty--so much so that we couldn't eat them. Overall, the service did not meet expectations, and unfortunately, I do not plan to visit this location again anytime soon. read more

Yeah, ok this place does suck. It's my duty to tell the vegans, there is a vegan burger on the menu and they do let you order it. And then they don't know what it is and it comes on an egg bun, goat cheese and mayonnaise. They just give you the veggie version - they're CLUELESS. I ordered it and doubled checked 2 times at the register and then they bring out that version. They don't know what's the item on the menu. Jan 31st, 2025 Review: I went to this location almost after 9 months and still impressed with their burgers. I didn't remember the name of burget I tried last time but now reading last review, it seems like I picked the same on menu last time- El Diablo and my husband got the El bandito. Both burger with veg patty are amazing. The only thing I could say in terms of getting better is juiciness, for some reasons both burger taste a bit dry and you need some sort of side sauce. Speaking of which, they have removed all the 4-5 different type of ketchup, mayo and other bottles they used to have. Now, you have to ask at counter for ketchup, mayo, spicy ketchup, ranch- whatever you need and they have little to-go style box ready to hand you. As usual the place was full on a Friday Eve but we luckily got a table inside. Servers are pretty good and wait time is not too long. They do provide the plastic knife and can get you any sauce on table as needed. By the way, the portion size of side fries is good enough to share if you are not too hungry. It comes also half to 3/4th bowl full of fries, we got the sweet potato and it was good to share along with our individual burger. read more

We placed our order at 6:25 PM and received our food at 6:36 PM. Everything seemed fine until we realized at 6:45 PM that our shake never came out. When we asked, the worker casually mentioned that the shake machine was down and she had forgotten to tell us--only then offering a refund. It's incredibly frustrating to not be told upfront that an item we paid for isn't available. We waited around unnecessarily and had to ask ourselves to find out. This kind of oversight and lack of communication is unacceptable. Do better. Was definitely the worst part of our Easter Sunday and will not ever eat here again. Amazing experience! The food here was absolutely delicious, and I have to say ...the gluten-free burger bun was the best I've ever had. The cashier was so kind and friendly, and the person who brought our food out was super cool and even offered water for my dog since we were sitting outside. Such a thoughtful touch! We also ordered the sweet potato honey fries (can't remember the exact name but trust me, everyone should get them!) and asked for ranch, it came out so quickly and again, the staff was incredibly nice. The Cedar Park location was initially overwhelmed because it is a smaller store than the others and was very popular, but now that things have evened out it isn't so difficult to get through the line and eating in a reasonable amount of time. Things will be even easier when it isn't hot as blazes outside so the outdoor tables can be better utilized. My favorite is the ahi burger, I get the nori on the side because they are delicious to snack on, but tend to get soggy inside the burger itself. The fries have gone downhill, they used to be really amazing but it seems like every time half of what they give you are the tiny little bits that should be taken out during quality control. Pro tip: the entire menu is 50% off between 4 PM and 6 PM on weekdays. it really is the best happy hour in town. That's food, drinks, everything. read more

And waited AND WAITED... finished my Frys and went for a refund. As I came up to the register the manager brought my burger DRY and barely warm. (Private eye-roll). The food is solid here. But this review and the 5 stars is all about the service. I was with friends who had their mother, who has dementia and uses a walker, with them. They saw her in line, came out from behind the counter, and cleared a space for her to sit. When we ordered, they comped the drink that we ordered worth her meal. When we were leaving, they asked her if she would like a shake. She was absolutely tickled! The entire drive home, she said, "mmm, mmm" after taking a sip! The employees here showed incredible respect.  This was supreme kindness.  I can't express how much seeing her smiling is so important. Something has changed and the burgers aren't as good as they used to be. Before we lived in Austin, if I was in town for business or fun, I always made a trip to Hopdoddy's. Best burgers ever! When we moved to Austin 10 years ago, we'd drive from Leander to Austin, to get a Hopdoddy burger, still the best. We would bring out of town visitors to Hopdoddy's and they would rave about the burgers...best ever. We were so excited to get a location in Cedar Park, but even on the first visit the burgers didn't taste the same. Not as juicy or crusty...or something, but still darn good. We still go and get a burger 2-3 times a year, but they seem smaller and less tasty. Unfortunately, I can't call it the best anymore. Still good, but similar to others now. read more

We are big fans of Hopdoddy. Great burgers, cocktails and atmosphere. Tonight was a different experience at the Cedar Park location. We arrived about 4:45 and sat at the bar. The bartender had about 7 customers at the bar. We waited quite a long time for her to bring menus. She brought our drink order (there was a dead gnat on the outside of one of the glasses) and then proceeded to hang out in one section of the bar with a party of three individuals who got pretty rowdy and ended up spilling drinks all over the bar. Another employee came behind the bar and introduced himself to us and continued to check on us and the other customers while the actual bartender continued her conversation with the rowdy group. I observed 2 other employees come behind the bar and make milkshakes for themselves and stand at the bar and drink them. No one seemed interested in working. It was not a professional vibe like it should be. Thank you to the conscientious employee, Raul, who took it upon himself to make sure the customers were served in a professional way. I haaaaate to leave a bad review because I'm such a fan of the food. However, the last 3 times I've been here (twice for take out and once with the kids) service has taken forever. I placed my order tonight (not a big order, just one burger and a Brussels bowl) to go, at 6:30. Love coming to eat here but man I don't know what's going on with this crew and location. We came in placed our order and granted the guy who took our order looked half asleep and we had to repeat our order numerous times and ohhh btw I speak in a loud clear manner. That being said we got our table number after placing our order and as we walked to the table we noticed numerous tables that had been cleared of dishes but the tables weren't wiped down and cleaned at all. So here I am walking back to let them know at which point were given another table. As we sat down we watched a lady come wipe down the tables and chairs that weren't clean whatsoever and using the same cloth to wipe down the seats and tables which seeing who had sat there made me want to vomit. We love this place and the other Hopdoddys that we have visited in North Austin and Round Rock. We are no longer able to consume large portions of food at a single sitting. It could have something to do with our age. Anyhow, we can only stay away for so long and then we surrender to the siren song of Hopdrddy. For us, a seat at the bar is a good choice and we did that last Thursday , mid afternoon. we were greated by cheerful, knowlegeable Abbey who helped us take advantrage of the "Happy hour" drink specials. As I just said, we can't consume large portions of food but we did remember the awsome, tasty Truffle fries that they offer and we asked for an order of those and were not disappointed. We had placed our order for burgers and they arrived in a timely fashion and were ,as always, delicious. Like every other visit to a Hopdoddy, we were well pleased. As we waddled back to our car i was thinking (As a former restaurant owner) Hopdoddy sure has the consistency thing down to a T.
