Who can resist a juicy, scrumptious burger or just the thought of it? That's what tempted me to check out Hopdoddy. I've been to other locations like Addison and Austin. And I've always had a good time. It's even better now to have one right in my neighborhood! This time I got the shishito wagyu burger. It's a seasonal item. You can find it only on the overhead menu, not on the laminated paper menu. I was happy to make this choice. I liked the chunky juicy wagyu beef. The shishito pepper added a mildly smoky flavor to the burger. I also liked the soft and subtly sweet bun, which made the burger taste even better. Just to make this like a healthy meal, I got a kale salad. The kale was fresh with a layer of crunchy crouton bits on top. It tasted good, but the dressing seemed to be a bit too much. But I had no complaint about the generous potion size :) Overall, I enjoyed my meal. The serving staff were very friendly and patient. I'll definitely come again to try the other burgers.

The food was so fresh, hot and delicious. Everything was prepared as ordered. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The WAGU beef was amazing. The burger bowl was superb. Great fries. They were also fresh and hot.

I'm very disappointed that I spent $20 on a wagyu burger. It tasted like a regular burger :(

My favorites are the Cadillac wagyu and sweet potato fries. The lettuce wrapped Nashville hot chicken itself was thin compared to the photos advertised. The traditional fries were good, but tasted like it's been sitting out. Clean restaurant and clean bathroom. Plenty of parking, however, it can get packed depending on the time of day. Good customer service overall.

Best Happy Hour on the Beltline! 50% off drinks and $5 sliders. My favorite sandwich is the Thunderbird. Ground chicken patty with pico, poblano peppers, bacon, and pepper jack cheese with doddy aioli. This is always my go to when at Hopdoddy, and of course, I add extra poblano peppers! It makes my mouth sooo happy to have that lil kick! They also have the best Honey Mustard I've ever tasted and I don't eat honey must. Their honey mustard has a kick! I saw a bottle of it today when I ordered online, and it is called Horseradish Honey Mustard! Wow! Yes, that is what Honey Mustard needs! I would definitely buy bottles if I lived in this state. Service was amazing!! I'm a modification type of Lady and they came through! Initially gave my custom burger to someone else in the restaurant and I knew it. I brought it to their attention and they immediately corrected it. Thank you! Great atmosphere and spacious booths! I'll be back as usual! I'm not a shoestring fry person, but my coworker enjoyed her salted fries dipped in ketchup! I just realized that I didn't get a picture of The Thunderbird. Welp, guess I'll have to order again before I leave Dallas! lol

Seems like this place has gotten a bad wrap and I need to update you. We tried the Addison location as it was our first time and absolutely enjoyed it. Highly recommend their truffle fries and their burgers are excellent. If you had a bad experience, I would recommend another try. We are back a second time now and still love it!!

It's a go up to the counter to order location. Your order will be brought to you when ready. The lactation is ideal and the staff were friendly. The wait for our food was a bit much and the same went for the margarita, which was horrible to the point I couldn't drink it. They have an interesting burger selection with everything sold separately, which means the cost adds up quickly. I felt my choice to go with the crispy brussel sprouts wasn't the best idea. They were good a bit on the salty side, but it turned out not to work so well with the El Diablo flavor combo, which was Pepper Jack, Habaneros & Serranos, Caramelized Onions, Salsa Roja, Chipotle Aioli, L & T. I love spicy food, and this did provide heat i wanted! The patty is well seasoned and cooked how I like it. The Cadillac Waygu was packed and hearty it had 1/2 lb Wagyu Beef, swiss cheese, steakhouse bacon, crispy fried onions, Steak Sauce, Truffle Aioli, roasted tomato & arugula. My one critique would be to remove the steak sauce. The shake was whipped and light but also tasted like melted ice cream. I wouldn't order again.

The staff were nice but the food was not it..we both left feeling sick after we ate. They definitely did not cook the burgers all the way. At least our fries and lemonade were good...

The burger was really good. We got a lettuce wrap and the queso fries. It was the perfect meal for my husband and I to split mainly because we both love queso and french fries. It was the middle of the week when we were there and the place was empty. We could have almost any seat in the restaurant. The service was great. Our fries came out first and they were perfect. The burger was the same. Our server was very helpful and got us an extra tray since we were splitting our dinner. The ambiance is great. I've been here when it's busy and its really loud and you can almost hardly hear each other talk across the table, but since we almost had the place to ourselves it was very relaxing. We could sit by the window, talk and just enjoy the peaceful setting. I'm happy that they've opened more locations.

We love Hop Doddy! It's our go to for quick family meal. And this place is perfect for kids. They have a kids menu that has other options besides hamburgers also. You can upgrade the quality of your burger meat to grass fed. We love the Diablo burger. The outdoor seating area is perfect if you're looking for more of a patio experience

I ordered the Liberty Burger ($9) with LTOP and xtra Gorgonzola ($1.50) and xtra Bacon ($1.50) with giant beautiful Onion Rings from an engaged and smiling server. My husband ordered a wild burger called the Chillerno ($9) topped with Queso Blanco, a Fire-Roasted Poblano Pepper, and Chipotle BBQ sauce on a toasted brioche bun. He also ordered the Skinny Fries - a cupful of super thin cut fries. I apologize for the photos. We were starving and my husband chose to tear into his burger when I got up to get more napkins, but I tried! Everything was very good. The onion rings were fabulous! The batter was terrific. My burger was cooked more than medium. Honestly, it's not often that I get one that's pink unless it's high end. But it was seasoned well and dressed with enthusiasm. My husband's poblano pepper was huge, but he loves peppers and so, loved his burger. We also shared a strawberry shake with whipped cream and a cherry. ($5.50) Liberty is a comfy place with a long banquette and then mostly tables and chairs. We had a good time there. No awkward waits. Just smooth, professional service. The ambiance was on point too -- relaxed, comfortable, somewhere you can actually sit and enjoy your meal. Now to the star of the show: the KICKIN' CHICKEN FRIED BACON BURGER. Fresh double beef patties, Jake's hickory sauce, melted cheese, crisp lettuce, red onion, chipotle mayo -- and topped with two thick, deep-fried slices of chicken fried bacon. Let me pause right there. That bacon? Crispy, thick, and absolutely amazing. It complemented that burger perfectly. The texture alone was next level. Everything blended well. The poppy seed bun was different, but it worked. It held everything together without falling apart -- and that matters with a stacked burger like this. Now here's my honest transparency: the patty was a little overcooked for my liking. Not dry, but just a touch longer on the fire than I would have preferred. Dial that back slightly and this burger would be a full-on knockout. I also had the onion rings -- crispy, not greasy, solid choice. And let's not ignore the SPICY MANGORITA. Mi Campo Blanco, mango, jalapeño, lime, Tajín -- and yes, I had two. Smooth with a little kick, that sweet heat balance was working. If you like a margarita that flirts with spice but doesn't overpower you, this is it. Would I go back? Absolutely. Next time I'm trying the chicken fried steak. I'm a fan, and now I need to see what Jake's does with it. I know there are other locations along the way back to Austin -- I think I spotted one in Waco -- so that may be my next stop. Great service. Great vibe. Strong food with just a small tweak needed on cook time. I'll be back.
