Excellent church! We're very glad we found it. Moved to the area in early 2019 after living in Hawaii for many years. We visited at least 12 churches looking for the right mix of strong biblical teaching, a vibrant children's program, and an energizing music. We selected Hope Fellowship as our home church. The teaching is Bible centered and gospel focused. The children's' programs are taught in a fun and loving atmosphere. The church has an AWANA children's program offered on Thursday evenings, which was very important to me. The music provided by the worship team is great! Didn't much care for it. The Pastor was nice enough, however I felt like I was being grilled + interrogated by other church goers kind of superficial. Example: "what do you do"? I want to know why its important what I do? Did Jesus ask that of his disciples? Then another question: "Do you live around here"? That got on my nerves. See, this is why people stay away from church because it's like a flippin Country Club atmosphere. Not everyone is doing well. Some can barely put food on the table, some don't own cars. Some don't have kids. This place was most uncomfortable. People need to remember that back when Jesus was alive it was a simpler time. If your poor steer clear of this church. Hope is a Bible-based church with sincere people who love God. It is large enough so that there are a variety of ministries to meet various member's needs. It is small enough so that you don't feel lost. The sermons are wonderful and full of Scripture. It is not for people who are in the word faith movement and want to be continually reassured that they are wonderful and will prosper. The gospel is properly preached, that we are sinners saved by God's great mercy and love. Please note that though the members are friendly, Christian visitors are also responsible for how they interact. I used to be a greeter and some people would refuse to make eye contact or run away before I could say anything to them. Not everyone is naturally gregarious and knows how to approach strangers, but I had never met anyone at Hope who wasn't good-hearted during the years I attended. The only reason I stopped attending is because I moved out of state. I miss the staff and loving regulars. read more

This Church is amazing. Very family friendly. You get a great message that challenges you to live with integrity. The members are so friendly ans non-judgmental. They also have something for everyone threw out the week. Oh did I mention Free Coffee....LOL I will be there Sunday at 10:45. Come get a hug. Some of the best Sunday morning teaching and preaching in town! Pastor Ben is a 'discipler' and won't waste your time telling nonsensical stories that have no spiritual impact on you. Give this great Church a try. read more

We moved to Maple Valley about 8 months ago. We took a few weeks to "church shop" and tried several different places in the area. We enjoyed each church we tried, but the first week we attended Hope Fellowship, we knew that we had found our new church home. The people are friendly and down-to-earth. The children's program is well-organized, well-staffed, and all three of our boys love it. Pastor Ben Davis is an engaging expository teacher of the Word. The men's and women's ministries helped us get connected with others quickly. We also joined a small group that meets outside of church once a week, and these new friends have quickly become like extended family...praying for each-others' needs, taking care of each-other in practical ways, and just generally "doing life together."
