This location is not nearly as good as midlo, but great for furniture and larger items. The selection for toys and clothing isn't nearly as good, at least not for me, but worth swinging by, if you're on the area. It isn't worth the drive for me from the other side of town though. They have decent selection overall, just not for my size and taste in clothing. Its still one of the better thrift options in terms of price and quality though. I'm just very, very partial to the Midlothian location. read more

Yep! I "hope" there's something left for you! My friend and I were shopping here the other day and she practically bought out the whole store... which is hard to do because it's super well-stocked and usually well-arranged! This neighborhood thrift store is full of furniture, kitchenware, home goods, clothings, books, electronics, jewelry, toys, exercise equipment, hardware, linens, and everything but the kitchen sink! Well, my bestie did her best to put a dent in their inventory. We loaded my truck up, not once, but twice! She bought a cute couch and two matching chairs for $100! Then another couch for $75! We also packed my vehicle with bar stools ($15 each), chairs, a headboard, lamps, tables, shelves, a backpack, home décor, knick-knacks, pillows and a few other things. For great prices on most items, this store rocks, but be extra careful checking the pieces for wear and tear. Prices on the clothing tend to run higher than expected. The purses aren't always in good condition so keep an eye out. Frankly, if an item is too damaged, I wouldn't even accept it for donation, but they are more forgiving. The staff is super helpful with assisting moving and arranging your items in your car. And when we were there last, there was a long line all the way down the sidewalk... during Covid. Following protocol, they were providing sanitizer and had masks, limiting customers. Who would've thought this place was so popular? On my previous visits there, I found some really cool wall decor. I purchased this neat owl made from recycled wood, metal, and clothes pins... you'd have to see it, it's quite a conversation piece! And for my bay window, I found a huge metal spider web that I hung up to prevent bird strikes. I receive lots of compliments on it! So if you have an eclectic style like me, there's a modge podge of unusual treasures to be found! I recently visited Hope Thrift while trying to refresh my work wardrobe on a budget. I enjoy visiting thrift stores and as a recent graduate, finding a good bargain is always a good feeling. I was excited to visit Hope Thrift but left feeling disappointed. I found the prices here to be a little too expensive for a thrift shop. The quality of items was on par with the local Goodwills - there were a few hidden gems, but most things were obviously well loved with quite a bit of wear and tear. Items that were in good shape or from a popular store (think J. Crew, Loft, and Banana Republic) were marked up significantly and double the price of what you would pay at Goodwill! The store was organized well and the staff seemed friendly enough, but the small inventory and consignment level prices make me hesitate to shop here again. read more

2 stars Because, although there is a tremendous amount of inventory, much of it is way over priced for items that should be available for folks who have trouble affording regular department stores. After all the items are all donated free of charge; so to charge these rates for clothing sometimes higher priced you would find NEW at the actual department store seems quite unethical and disappointing. read more

I have been shopping at Hope Thrift since it opened at Tuckahoe. Lately, I have been aghast at the price of the jewelry. It has become antique store priced! Today, I saw a vintage horse bridle ornament made into a brooch. Not silver. Not gold. It was priced at $98! The lady pricing the jewelry said it is half off. That is still $50! It should have started at $35-45 at the most! I will continue to shop at Bellmeade since pricing is more realistic! read more

I met a friend here to give her some of her belongings... had never been before, but it's a pretty nice thrift store. They had some really nice items that were very thoughtfully displayed and in good condition. I didn't check prices, so I don't know how they roll there, but probably what I liked most about the place is that it doesn't have that thrift store smell. You know what I'm talking about. The best place to donate! Apparently a lot of others think so too, as you never know what you might find in the mix. There is furniture, housewares, clothing, and all sorts of other things. Hope Thrift is definitely on the pricey side. Furniture is in "good" condition, but usually isn't high quality. I never find myself longing to return or wondering what they may have. I also hate that there is a limit to use a credit/debit card - I understand many businesses want to avoid charges or ensure a swipe is "worth it," but in 2015 this should just be an expected business expense. However, I have found one area that Hope Thrift deserves 5 stars on: Christmas wreaths. I was dragged here over Christmas and had been searching for a pretty and affordable Christmas wreath for several months.... turns out, it is really hard to find a pretty Christmas wreath! Now, you need look no further than Hope Thrift. Apparently there is a lady who volunteers at Hope Thrift who creates BEAUTIFUL Christmas wreaths out of some of the Christmas items (ornaments, decorations, ribbon, etc.) that come in. I was blown away because literally every wreath was a pretty one. There were also many different color schemes to choose from, as well as different sizes. The ones I saw were priced at $30-$40, which I thought was fair compared to some I have seen elsewhere marked at $120-$150. I don't know who this mysterious wreath-maker is but I hope she continues to make these wreaths. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for them! read more

You know what they say, if you share a secret, it's no longer a secret. :-( Then, everyone else will discover this wonderful business, but it is for a fabulous cause. I love to wander the aisles in search of treasure! The staff makes it a pleasure to visit their store. They work very hard to keep it organized and clean. You won't find any nasty or stinky items here. They even go to the trouble to create displays and maintain a Facebook page. They do have an "eye" for quality, so these items will be priced accordingly, but still a bargain. #If you really want a steal of a deal, visit them on the first of the month when they change their color and look for those tags, which can be 50 - 75% off! #Donations are graciously accepted and tax receipts are available. I was told about this thrift store from my son who has purchased quite a few items from here. I like the shop and friendly employees. Prices are great, not like a lot of thrift stores that are just way over priced. I found a wonderful kidkraft table and chairs for my grands and some silver service at the best prices ever. Prices are now too high to be considered a "thrift" store. Needy people shopping at thrift stores out of neccessity can no longer afford to shop here. For example, a set of six glasses were marked $3 per glass. $18 for a set of old drinking glasses is too much, unless they are collectible. Linens are priced per the piece. A lady checking out in front of me was shocked that her $4 curtains were really $12. The two side panels and the little middle valance part were all "sold separately". They also don't seem to understand their inventory. A candy dish from Dollar Tree is priced the same as high end brands. Maybe demand is higher than donations, so they need to move out inventory more slowly. Also, returns are no longer accepted. Sometimes you need to bring something home and put batteries in it to see if it works. I think that exchanges for defective items returned within one week would be more fair. read more
