Ended up calling Hornet Appliance, first thing in the morning and was finally able to reach a human being. Albeit, I was placed on hold for 20 minutes, but this is progress. Receptionist ended up calling the tech to see why they could not make it out on Saturday. The Technician had ordered another part, but had not updated the ticket accordingly - hey, mistakes happen. Luckily for me, the part had arrived right as I was on the phone with the receptionist! Receptionist and the tech squeezed me in for another 1pm - 5pm window. Received a text advising that the tech would arrive a little later than 5pm - totally fine. Tech arrives and replaces the second part. We test out the oven together and finally hear the beep of an oven that reached temperature. read more

I don't even want to give them a rating of one star because they need no rating. Their communication is HORRIBLE . I had to call them to get my first appointment scheduled, then every time you call no answer. I understand the weather situation here in Houston but to not get any communication at all is RIDICULOUS. THE ONLY COMMUNICATION YOU WILL GET FROM THEM WILL BE BY EMAIL AND THATS A DAY LATER. read more

After a thoroughly incompetent repair attempt from another appliance company, Mike from Hornet Appliance was sent. The first company took the back of the dryer off, said it didn't work because of lint, and gave us the name of someone who would clean it out for $100. That person couldn't be reached so we found someone else who did it for the $100. He said there was almost no lint. When Mike Hornet came he didn't even need to take it apart. He said that our issue with it was typical of that model and knew the part it needed. It was in stock at their place of business and he returned the next morning to repair the dryer at which point he showed us the faulty part that was partially melted as was typical of this model. Two thumbs up for Hornet Appliance and their customer service team (Crystal, Saydee and technician Jose). Jose was very professional and knowledgeable in discovering the problem with our appliance in a timely manner and was very punctual. Crystal and Saydee went above and beyond by answering my call after business hours and ensuring that my questions were answered. I also received a call from Crystal after hours letting me know the status of my parts request and timeline of parts delivery. Crystal wanted to ensure that I was scheduled for a service visit as soon as possible. Kudos to all three of them for raising the bar on customer service. Job we read more
